Welcome to the "sweet gem" of Steamboat Springs. La Joya Dulce Weddings & Events provides you with a luxury Colorado ranch experience and is located in the scenic Elk River Valley just outside of Steamboat Springs, CO. Aspen groves, valley vistas for miles, and mountains you can touch will make your special day memorable. Each and every event is curated - allowing for complete individuality. While couples and their guests enthuse about the beautiful views, they love the personal touch we bring to events.

Note: La Joya Dulce is currently 90% booked for 2025 and we do have new pricing for 2026. While the interactive pricing guide is a great way to start, depending on the number of people (up to 400) and the package selected, our pricing ranges from $14,250 to $42,000

Facilities and Capacity
La Joya Dulce Weddings & Events is the largest single venue in Steamboat Springs and can host weddings from elopements (less than 15) to 400 guests. We have multiple facilities and can host both indoor and outdoor events (think dine outside!) The barn features Edison lighting and has gorgeous wood paneling, providing an intimate setting for your event. Additionally, there is a 12,000 square foot event pavilion, draped and fully lit with market lights and accented with wrought iron chandeliers. The main ceremony space is 4000 sq ft of meadow overlooking the idyllic Elk River Valley. As the ranch sits up on a bench, it features valleys, a creek, pond, and hills. Separate prep areas are provided for couples - all with wonderful natural light and spacious enough for any wedding party.

Services Offered

For weddings over 60 guests, you are allowed three full days on the property, allowing for plenty of time for set up, rehearsal dinner, fishing, a brunch afterwards, and, of course, the main event. Make it a wedding weekend! Additionally, couples are allowed entire flexibility in with vendors - allowing you entire control over services. Standard items included are:

A Dream Come True!

La Joya Dulce and their staff exceeded all of our expectations! From the very beginning, everything was communicated to us clearly and quickly. Kathie was always just an email away anytime we had a question, and we always felt like they genuinely cared about us and our vision. The facilities were absolutely beautiful and provided everything we wanted (and more) for our ranch wedding! The day of our wedding, the La Joya Dulce staff truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect in every way. I did not have to worry about a thing, knowing we were in the best hands and that they had our best interests at heart. The hospitality and professionalism exuded by their staff were exemplary. We cannot thank the La Joya Dulce team enough for helping us shine extra bright on our special day! We would absolutely recommend La Joya Dulce for your wedding or special event!

Spectacular views and incredible staff!

My husband and I envisioned a wedding celebration with our family and friends at a ranch in the Yampa Valley and La Joya Dulce (LJD) was the perfect venue! Kathie and Wayne Jacobsen, Croix Frank, and the rest of the LJD team were very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. As our wedding manager and day of coordinator, Croix, paid extra attention to our requests and made sure every detail was flawless which made our wedding day extra special. LJD offers an incredible Share the Love program, breathtaking views, and a laid back, and elegant atmosphere. Guests of our wedding still rave about the gorgeous sunset, friendly horses, delicious taco bar, and endless dancing! We greatly appreciate everything the LJD team did to make our wedding day one we will cherish forever.

10/10 for guests!

We had the opportunity to attend a wedding at La Joya Dulce this summer. You take a shuttle (paved the whole way) and their friendly staff greets you on the shuttle and then provides a cold mocktail when you get off.

There are horses and mini cows. Games. And the most spectacular views for the ceremony. We went back to their barn for cocktail hour and then, we expected to go back to the big building for dinner. No!!! We rounded the corner and there was a beautiful outdoor dining area set up for us.

If you are considering a classic Colorado setting? This is the place. Their owners are so kind and their staff reflects that. As friends with the bride? All she had was raves about how helpful they are with vendors. Their decor inventory (over 4500 pieces) and … how they absolutely made her day stress free.

Best Day Ever!

Our wedding at La Joya Dulce this past September was unforgettable. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly organized, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Their vendor recommendations and trusted connections made planning much easier, and every detail—big or small—was thoughtfully managed.

The venue itself is stunning. Guests couldn’t stop talking about the gorgeous views and the effortless way everything ran. The staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured the day flowed seamlessly from start to finish.

Special shoutout to our wedding manager, Tommi—she was absolutely amazing. Proactive, detail-oriented, and always one step ahead, she made the entire planning process and wedding day feel completely stress-free.

Loved it as a bridesmaid, fell in love as a bride!

La Joya Dulce is an absolutely breathtaking wedding venue in Colorado. After attending a wedding there as a bridesmaid, it immediately jumped to the top of MY list (before I even met my husband), and once we saw it as an engaged couple, the decision was easy. The ranch sits above the valley with sweeping views that feel expansive, peaceful, and incredibly special.

One of the best parts of our experience was working with Tommi as our planner. She was exceptional—organized, supportive, and deeply invested in making sure everything came together seamlessly. Her guidance throughout the planning process was invaluable, and we truly felt cared for every step of the way.

We also appreciated having access to the venue’s “Share the Love” décor collection. Being able to use items like chargers, napkins, candlesticks, and other thoughtfully curated pieces made designing our day much easier and allowed us to elevate the look without having to source or store additional décor.

Between the natural beauty of the property, the well-maintained ranch setting, and the professionalism of the team, La Joya Dulce provided an unforgettable wedding experience. It’s a stunning Colorado venue for couples looking for a setting that feels both refined and naturally beautiful.

Still Raving!

Even months after our wedding, we’re still talking about how incredible our experience was at La Joya Dulce. From the first email to the final send-off, their team was responsive, welcoming, and clearly committed to creating a wedding that reflected us—not a copy-paste version of someone else’s day.

They offered smart, experience-backed guidance throughout the planning process and helped us think through details we wouldn’t have realized mattered until it was too late. Their “Share the Love” décor inventory was a huge bonus, letting us use beautiful pieces without the cost (or waste) of buying items for a single day. That said, the venue itself is breathtaking—very little décor is needed because the setting speaks for itself.

Our Dream Day!

We cannot even begin to express how happy we are that we chose La Joya Dulce for our wedding venue. We got married on 8/1/25 and it was the BEST day ever.

La Joya Dulce was the first venue we toured. After we met Kathie and Flynn last fall for our tour, we had full confidence that the venue and team would help us create our dream day. We cancelled all our other tours - they are that good. The communication and organization of this venue and team is top notch. They help you through the entire wedding planning process and make sure everything is lined up well before your day. We were able to relax and enjoy our day - and having been in other weddings? This is invaluable.

The venue itself is beautiful. We are from Denver but love Steamboat and visit often, so getting married here was extra special for us. Our family and friends were in AWE the entire day! The views are incredible and they deliver on a classic Colorado ranch experience.

Huge thank you to Tommi, our wedding manager, who went above and beyond to make our day nothing short of amazing. She's so organized, - this helped make communication with vendors seamless and easy. Tommi took care of an endless amount of tasks before I even thought to address them. Our day ran so smoothly because of her.

Flynn, who helps oversee the wedding operations at LJD, was wonderful as well. He's friendly, fun, and on top of everything! He's helped keep us organized and made sure the day ran as planned. Our guests had so much fun hanging with him and the horses during cocktail hour :)

Your Guests POV

Ok. So you choose the venue for you. And you should. But holy Batman besties! This is one for the books as far as your guests are concerned. Views. Check. Impeccable service. Check. Horses to pet. Check. Plenty of space. Check. Outside or inside? Check. Amazing experience? Priceless!

We attended a wedding this summer (and they had outside dining - the staff there flipped a space for 200 in less than an hour and it was GORGEOUS). You have to take a shuttle (only not so great thing - our couple opted for school busses and they were hot). You get there? A SMILING staff member greets you. Tells you important info. You get off the shuttle? A SMILING staff member greets you with a tasty mocktail since you are at 7000 ft. Don’t worry besties, there’s alcohol. This is just a nice “hello.”

Ceremony? A SMILING staff member directs you to one of the most stunning views ever. What you may not realize is that you get to come back after cocktail hour and if the weather is nice? You dine under a Colorado sunset.

Did I mention the SMILING staff members? And then? You meet the owners who are absolutely the sweetest and kindest people. They take your photos. Give suggestions as to things to do. And Kathy is like this national champion horse person and her horses are obviously well treated as they are so kind as well. And the owners love for their staff has to be genuine as they have the best trained, most incredible staff we have ever experienced at a wedding. You could literally tell the staff was happy to be there.

Top to bottom the best wedding we have ever been to in one of the most beautiful spaces we have ever experienced. La Joya more than deserves every accolade they get.

Book this place now. Your guests will rave for years (and you will as well).

Absolutely perfect venue

This is THE most gorgeous venue with THE best service I have ever experienced. I was blown away. Their attention to detail surpasses mine (and I'm a type A). Kathie and her team are absolutely dedicated to ensuring that both their couples and their guests have the most incredible time. From the moment you tour until the last item is picked up, they are there for you.

We had an absolutely incredible day that as far as we were concerned, went flawlessly. Guests raved about the views and the service and we could not have been happier with our day.

They are a luxury venue. Expect to pay a luxury price AND get luxury service.
