Kurstin is a phenomenal and talented photographer and artist! He takes high quality photographs, that have a brightness to them that bring joy to anyone who views them. He’s very flexible to the style of the couple, and applies his artistic talent to ensure the photographs he takes impress. Further he has such a fun personality, which is so important as he spends more of the day with the bride than possibly anyone else. His ability to make people smile makes him a pleasure to work with, and ensures he captures sincere happiness in his photos.

Simply put, Kurstin is the best. He stuck by us for FOUR wedding dates as we navigated postponements due to COVID. He and his team perfectly planned and captured our day and created photo memories for us that will last a lifetime.

Kurstin did an absolutely amazing job on our big day! He captured every single picture we wanted and came up with many more creative, iconic DC wedding shots that we didn't think of ourselves. We were fortunate enough to have Kurstin as our photographer for our engagement photos and actual wedding in June 2019. Kurstin was an absolute joy to work with from the very beginning. While we were going through the (very nerve-wracking) process of vetting different candidates to photograph our big day, Kurstin immediately stood out as the obvious choice. We loved his portfolio, but were especially impressed by his professionalism and proactiveness. We appreciated how he took the time to meet with us over the course of several weeks to get to know us as a couple - even before we started officially working with him! Not only did he guide us through the entire process and field our MANY questions, he was truly open to understanding our likes and dislikes. I (the bride) have never liked being in front of the camera, but Kurstin really took my concerns to heart and went out out of his way to ensure I felt at ease (and beautiful!) throughout the entire experience.

Our wedding took place in VA, but my husband and I are based in NYC. Kurstin was happy to accommodate our busy schedules and travel out to the city for our engagement photo shoot. He spent the whole day trekking around Brooklyn and lower Manhattan with us, and ended up capturing some amazing pictures - many of which we picked as keepers for framing)!

Our wedding day itself was nothing short of spectacular, and we were so happy to have Kurstin there to capture all the special moments. He brought a level of seasoned, calm professionalism to the table and played a critical role in keeping our chaotic wedding party organized and on schedule. We relied on his guidance and direction throughout the day, and also appreciated his flexibility and willingness to take our opinions and ideas into consideration. He went out of his way to check in with us and make sure we were comfortable over the course of each shoot. I had initially gone into the day dreading photos, but Kurstin's efforts and dedication helped transform the experience into a fun and enjoyable one for all of us!

And of course, Kurstin's work speaks for itself. He is incredibly talented and possesses the uncanny ability to tailor his work to his client's taste vs. only specializing in one "style". He delivered our pictures in a timely manner and was incredibly patient with addressing our feedback. We absolutely LOVE all our wedding photos - from the staged family portraits, to the candids - and are so grateful to have so many options by which to remember our big day for years to come.
