We used Kuoha Cullinary for a multicultural wedding and without question Ed exceeded all expectations. We had three professionally support dining event over the course of three days and Ed’s catering was the benchmark in excellence that everyone referred to as the best food they had during their stay in Hawaii. We used Ed for drop off service buffet in a private roof top venue in Waikiki for 30 guest and it was flawless. The food was exceptionally high quality and the amount proved resulted in enough to feed everyone lunch again the next day (just as good the second time around). Beyond taste and quality, the set-up and presentation was just as wonderful. We shopped multiple caterers and was easily the most competitive in his pricing. I highly recommend using Ed and his team!!

It was very fun for me to hear testimonials from a very diverse group with ranging palettes. Picky and non picky eaters had great things to say! I think each one of our menu items was complimented by AT LEAST one guest. Chef Ed curates this menu based on your preferences and works with you to perfect it. He is very flexible, patient and resourceful. He worked with my parents and I to ensure that our menu was well rounded for our guests.

As I’m sure many people know, your head is kind of spinning on your wedding day. But with all that being said, Chef Ed & his staff’s beautiful smiles and positive energies really stuck out to me. They were so happy, kind, respectful and professional. Their service is truly upscale with a spirit of aloha.

We booked Chef Ed a full year before our wedding (tried tot do it earlier, but we were too eager). He was very conscious of our budget during our first few email exchanges, and really rolled with the punches for us. The oven at our venue broke down (as did one of the fridges and freezers), and we were able to rent one from him.

The food was absolutely phenomenal! One guest told us they have never more than "ok" with wedding food and they went back for seconds, a compliment I don't think can go higher.

My husband and I also had our first meal alone together and he brought the food to us, something we did not expect at all.

Ed Kuoha was AMAZING. He worked with us to develop a menu that fit our tastes and budget. He answered professionally and with care about all our catering needs from unlimited emails, phone calls, and texts despite all the changes we have made. The food was delicious (ahi tartare, pork belly bao, braised short ribs, and more), and he was a pleasure to work with. He definitely went above and beyond for our wedding (including some liquor logistics), and I'm so glad we went with him. Thank you so much!!

Wow, Ed Kuoha is incredible. We had our wedding at a house on Oahu and Kuoha culinary knocked it out of the park. It was insane. We did lobster tails, steak, ahi, salad, asparagus and the most divine mashed potatoes ever etc
It was by far a highlight of the night. Every person mentioned how incredible the food was. Not to mention the price wasn’t outrageous either. I pulled the trigger based on his reviews from other sites and I’m glad I listened. 10/10 experience.

My husband and I chose Ed to take care of our catering needs for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made! What first caught our attention was the fact that he creates a customized menu based off budget. When we gave us a preliminary menu and quote, it exceeded our expectations. We even got to taste the items and it was soooo bomb! We literally looked forward to it on our wedding day. Ed was also such a pleasure to work with. He even replies super fast which was greatly appreciated given the anxiousness of planning a wedding. He was patient, especially when I had millions of questions and were indecisive at times. Even so, he showcased his expertise and assisted us with our questions. After working with Ed and seeing how he does things, I don't see myself looking elsewhere for catering needs. Let me start off by saying my husband and I are very picky when it comes to food. We were a little nervous hiring a private chef to cook for our gathering based solely on reviews and not having a set menu to choose from. Chef Ed gives you recommendations based on your food preference and budget. Chef Ed was quick to respond and was communicative throughout the entire process. He arrived to our event on time and headed straight to the kitchen without me even knowing (I was busy getting ready). He was very professional in his presentation, had an explanation for each dish, and gave everyone a menu. Service was excellent! It was as if we were eating at a fine dining restaurant but in a comfortable atmosphere. Every single dish was so delicious and we all couldn’t stop thinking about his food for days! If we could only pick three of our favorites it would be the Kabayaki Bacon, Ahi Tataki, and the Lilikoi Crème Brulee Tarts. He provided us with more than enough food; we were full before the entrees came out and there were tons of leftovers to enjoy the next day. Don’t even question it, hire Chef Ed for your next gathering and you won’t regret it! Bonus- it was also nice to support a fellow Native Hawaiian owned company.

When we made a list of the top five things we wanted for our wedding, delicious food was at the top of both my wife and I’s list. After a lot of research and back, we found Chef Ed. Unfortunately, we did not live on Oahu yet, so we had to book Chef Ed without getting a chance to taste his food. This was one of the best decisions we made. All of his reviews are correct: his food is authentic and delicious. The night before our wedding, we had him drop off catering for a pool party/luau for about 40 people. He was on time, with everything ready to go,. He got things set up quickly and was out of the way before we were! He also catered our wedding feast, making sure he had enough staff on hand that everything ran smoothly. Our guests could not stop talking about the food. Everything was of high quality and tasted BEYOND amazing. He also had some really good vegetarian options for our guests who didn’t eat meat and incorporated it into the menu so they didn’t feel like they were missing out. I would jump at any opportunity to eat Chef Ed’s delicious and well thought out meals again. Overall, hiring Chef Ed was a great experience and I would definitely recommend him.

We booked our rehearsal dinner catering through Kuoha Culinary and it was fantastic! As we had a backyard-style wedding, Chef Ed's option for the fully prepared buffet was spot-on! While we were connecting with guests, our food was set up quickly and beautifully for our guests to serve themselves buffet style. We opted for kabayaki bacon, mushroom poke, mixed greens with papaya seed vinaigrette, steamed rice, sauteed sweet corn, roast kalua pork, pulehu chicken, and mini haupia tarts for dessert. This was a perfect spread for all of our out of town guests who were excited to try some local style food! Everyone loved the meal and it seemed the group's particular favorites were the papaya seed vinaigrette and kabayaki bacon. The whole process of connecting with Chef Ed, setting up a menu and enjoying the final product was so easy and stress-free. We would highly recommend Kuoha Culinary for any event!
