Kristen was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! She did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and we genuinely could not be happier with how everything turned out. My wife and I are NOT photogenic at all, and taking pictures normally feels awkward for us, but Kristen made the entire experience fun, easy, and completely natural. More importantly, she somehow made us look amazing! We are absolutely in love with our photos and will cherish them forever. She took the time to meet with me over Zoom before the wedding to go over the photos I wanted and suggest items to bring with me.

She was incredibly organized and knew exactly how to take charge when it came to gathering people for photos. She kept everyone on track without ever making it feel stressful, which is no small task at a wedding! She also had such an amazing eye for detail. Even while we were waiting for people to arrive for photos, she was finding beautiful locations and creative opportunities for photos that I never would have thought of.

One of the things I appreciated most was how she worked with us to customize a photography package that fit our budget without making us feel like we had to sacrifice what was important to us. Throughout the entire day, she captured not only the posed portraits but also all of those spontaneous, genuine moments that happened naturally. Looking back through our photos, I can relive moments I didn't even realize she had captured.

She worked incredibly hard from beginning to end, yet she always remained calm, positive, and professional. She made everything feel effortless, even though I know she was constantly working behind the scenes.

Choosing Kristen Marie Weddings + Portraits was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

We initially found Kristen through Canyon Gate Country Club, where she was listed as one of their recommended photographers. Her portfolio was incredible, and knowing she was already familiar with our venue was a major bonus. Thankfully, she was available for our date!

From our very first Zoom call about six months before the wedding, Kristen immediately made us feel comfortable. She asked thoughtful questions about our timeline, where we would be getting ready, the photographs that mattered most to us, and details we had not even begun considering. We did not have all the answers yet, but she never made us feel unprepared or foolish. Instead, that conversation helped us understand what we needed to prioritize over the following months.

After we signed our contract, she even mailed us a beautiful bottle of wine—an incredibly thoughtful gesture that showed us how much she cares about her couples.

Our photography package included an engagement session, but because we do not live in Las Vegas, we scheduled ours three days before the wedding. We wanted it to feel completely different from our wedding photographs: young, sexy, spontaneous, and full of Vegas nightlife energy. Kristen welcomed every bit of feedback we gave her. Because I work in marketing and regularly guide photographers professionally, I was worried I might unintentionally slip into “work mode” or overstep. Kristen assured me that honest feedback would only help her understand exactly what we wanted—and she meant it.

Within minutes of meeting her in person, my husband and I felt like we could be completely ourselves. We could be goofy, affectionate, unserious, and occasionally a little over-the-top without ever feeling judged or awkward. She kept us out of our heads, encouraged us constantly, and made the entire session genuinely fun. We photographed around the Bellagio, Paris, and Caesars Palace, and she delivered our complete gallery before our wedding three days later. The photographs were phenomenal and made us even more excited and confident going into the wedding day.

On the wedding day, Kristen and Rachel (the second photographer) were everything we could have needed: trusted friends, calm professionals, hype women, and practically additional members of the wedding party. Rachel photographed my husband and his groomsmen getting ready while Kristen stayed with me and the girls, and we both felt equally comfortable and cared for. Rachel also helped us streamline our extensive family photo list while Kristen captured our detail shots. They worked together seamlessly and matched each other’s energy.

Our wedding day was approximately 115 degrees with winds ranging from 20 to 40 miles per hour. Kristen and Rachel arrived early to assess the conditions, identify the best locations, and adapt the photography plan around the wind. Their familiarity with Canyon Gate was invaluable, but they never relied on familiarity alone—they paid attention to what was happening that specific day and adjusted accordingly.

They learned the names of our wedding party and family members, handled complicated family combinations with patience and sensitivity, and made sure we captured everything that mattered to us. Kristen also played a major role in building our photography timeline and keeping the day on track. Between her, our venue team, and our DJ, my husband and I were genuinely able to turn our brains off, stay present, and enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about what needed to happen next.

The photographs themselves completely exceeded our expectations. My husband and I look like high-fashion models, but the images still feel authentic to our personalities and relationship. Just as importantly, the photographs of our family and friends are some of the most beautiful pictures we have ever seen of them.

One of the most meaningful parts of viewing the gallery was seeing the joy on every single guest’s face. The photographs allowed us to experience moments we had missed and made us realize just how much fun everyone had that day. We repeatedly found ourselves saying, “Oh my God, they captured that!” Kristen and Rachel documented not only what our wedding looked like, but what it actually felt like.

Kristen sent us previews within 24 hours and delivered our complete wedding gallery less than one month after the wedding. Her communication throughout the entire process was exceptional; everything was delivered clearly and professionally, and she is also mailing us a flash drive containing all of our high-resolution photographs.

We were so impressed that we would honestly travel back to Las Vegas for future professional photography. To anyone getting married in Las Vegas or the surrounding area: look no further. Kristen’s pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quality, service, experience, and deliverables she provides. You will not regret trusting Kristen with these memories. We truly cannot thank her (and Rachel!) enough.

Jason and I could NOT have asked for a better experience. I was worried because it was a multi-cultural wedding. My vision to catch all the aspects of Indian cultures that are important to me. Kristen and her team were phenomenal. Honestly, she made us comfortable from the moment we met. Kristen asked all the right questions to know how we would want our special day to be captured. The end results showed cased those special moments, the tears, the hidden glances, and the smiles. She did our engagement shoot to get to know us. This made us very comfortable on the day of our events. Our friends and family said "those photographers were everywhere." And truely in the photos it shows the effort they made to capture EVERYONE we love and in such a beautiful way. We are thankful for her and our experience. You cannot go wrong!

Looking back, choosing Kristen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. There are only a few things you get to take home and have for the rest of your life as mementos of your wedding, many of which are fleeting. However, the photos will last a lifetime, so don’t skimp in this area. Kristen delivered in every way and looking back, I wouldn't hesitate to choose her again. I would strongly recommend you do all that you can to have her photograph your own wedding. Change the wedding date if necessary!!

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer than Kristen. We were absolutely blown away by her work (albeit not surprised because it was exactly how we saw it on her website as we reviewed albums of many, many photographers, while planning our wedding). What you see on her website is exactly what you get, however, unlike a lot of other photographers, every wedding album is very personalized. She isn't just taking the same select photos for each wedding, she finds a way to capture those unique moments that are special.
While she wasn't the least expensive photographer we looked at, her pricing was very competitive, and the work we saw on her website was exceptional. She was extremely professional. She conducted a free virtual meeting with us while we were still choosing between photographers where she answered all our questions and gave us a great deal of perspective around strategies to optimize our photo collection while not intruding on the wedding day. She also inquired deeply into our personal preferences making sure that she would be able to deliver on those things. Having loved her personality and her prior products, it was a no-brainer to move forward with her.
Throughout all stages of planning, she was extremely responsive. Our package included an engagement shoot where she truly shined. She took us to a beautiful natural area that was a personal favorite of my wife and me. From the very beginning, she connected with us effortlessly. We felt super comfortable, which was important to the both of us. Neither of us go out of our way to be photographed, and we wanted the pictures to shine, be genuine, and show a lot of emotion. Her kind, encouraging, bright, and humble personality played a pivotal role in helping us feel comfortable throughout the shoot in expressing our excitement and love for each other: genuinely smiling, laughing out loud, big hugs and kisses, and remembering the excitement and anticipation of our big day.
She totally blew me away with her eye for capturing different natural perspectives, scenery, and beautiful angles. She navigated a few moments when there were groups of people getting in the way of the shot and stayed extra-long so we could capture a few cherished sunset shots. She came with a full catalog of posing ideas, but we also had a few extra we were interested in. She worked with our preferences extremely well and made sure we had all the pictures we were hoping for (and those she knew we needed). I'll be honest, I was dreading the engagement shoot because I don’t like having my photo taken, and we’d had a stressful day leading up to it, but the shoot flew by and we had a lovely time (not something I can say about any photo-taking experience prior to this).
Kristen’s turnaround time for editing and sharing the photos was shockingly speedy. She sent a set of teasers within a few days of the shoot. These ended up being our very favorite photos of the album (though the rest of the album was stunning too), again highlighting her intentionality and experience. The photos blew us away; they continue to every time we look at them. The album was far more than we had hoped for, and we’ve used the photos for our device backgrounds, wedding posts, invitations, ... They are so loved by our many friends and family. Having had such a wonderful engagement shoot, we felt extremely confident that for our big day, we would have yet another collection of photos to cherish for a lifetime. It made us even more excited for the big day. She also reassured us that if she had an exceptional circumstance and couldn’t make it (which didn’t happen), she would arrange for someone to cover her whom she trusted. On top of this, she also gave us recommendations for a videographer who did an exceptional job.

In the weeks leading up to our wedding, she checked in with us regularly to ensure she understood the flow of the wedding so she would be prepared to capture all of the big moments: key points in our religious ceremony, the entrances to the reception, the first dance, the cake tasting, dances with parents, everyone on the dance floor, and several other nuanced shots we were very eager to have. She also provided exceptional advice for streamlining the process of getting photos of our large (and unruly at times) families. She took about 20 minutes to photograph these clans without a hiccup.
Throughout the wedding day, we barely noticed her, as she melded in with the crowd, but looking back at the photos she was everywhere and captured everything exceptionally well. The few moments we engaged with her throughout the ceremony and reception really warmed my heart, as she brings such charm and warmth. She knew all the nice locations at the venue for our posed shots. She ended up staying extra time on the wedding day as well to ensure a few more cherished shots were taken.
I think it'll take us a lifetime to fully appreciate all the photos she sent us from our wedding, far more than we anticipated or than she promised to send us. They're all exceptionally well curated with minor edits that really make them shine, but that in no way appear tacky or hyper enhanced. Looking at these photos, we beam, laugh, sigh a big relief (she truly delivered in every way), and even shed a few tears. We've populated many crooks and crannies, walls, center pieces, and device backgrounds with these photos, and our family and friends have cherished our holiday cards, thank you notes, and social media posts with them. I’m even starting to see them pop up in the homes of those we’ve visited.
