Based in NOLA, Kinfolk Brass Band offers an energetic, vibrant performance, blending the traditional movements of Mardi Gras with modern favorites to create an eclectic, fun-filled experience! Offering anything from the band to a one-stop-shop including permits, this band can help you announce your union to the world in style!

With a high-energy set-list, including favorites such as The Second Line Song and Iko Iko to brass band covers of Wanna Dace with Somebody by Whitney Houston, their performance will be a highlight of your night! This band usually plays a well-known set of favorites, but are always happy to work with you to create a setlist for your own special celebration.

Percy and Richard Anderson, the founders of the Kinfolk Brass Band, were born and raised in New Orleans. Learning from some of the region's most well-known talents, they bring a proven pedigree for every performance. From the 2012 Olympics to an annual appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, this collective has played on some of the biggest stages in the world. On your wedding day, they will bring all their knowledge and skill, presenting an enjoyable, energetic display that you and all your guests can dance along to.

They made our second line so memorable and exciting!

We wanted to get married in New Orleans so we could have a true second line experience. We hired Kinfolk Brass Band and we were so so so happy with our experience! We've seen other second line bands before and they were all great but, I must say, Kinfolk was the best band I've ever seen. They made our second line so fun and memorable. It was so memorable that strangers we walked past the next day remembered us from the second line! I can't tell you how many times I heard from my guests that the second line was one of the coolest things they had ever done. Every single member of the band was so jovial and exuberant. If you plan on having a second line, hire Kinfolk!

Super Fun Experience!

We hired Kinfolk Brass Band for my daughter’s wedding second line, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the very first note, their energy was electric. Their vibrant, joyful, and truly authentic New Orleans style makes them a "must have" at any New Orleans wedding.
The music was outstanding, and they have an incredible ability to pull everyone in. Our guests and onlookers couldn’t help but join the celebration. The MC deserves special recognition: he is phenomenal. Outgoing, engaging, and so much fun, he elevated the entire experience and kept the crowd energized the whole time.
This was a truly unique and unforgettable experience for our guests, and most especially for the bride and groom. Kinfolk Brass Band was punctual, professional, and gave us far more than we expected—serious bang for your buck. The cost was worth every penny.
There are honestly no negatives to mention. If you’re considering a second line or want a real New Orleans experience, do yourself a favor and book them. You will not regret it.

A Second Line We’ll Never Forget – Brass, Love, & Celebration!!

We hired Kinfolk Brass Band for our Second Line at our wedding in December 2025 and WOW —what an unforgettable experience! They showed up on time and came ready to bring the party. The energy was electric, the music was infectious, and our entire crowd was instantly swept up in the fun. The Grand Marshal was fantastic and navigated us through traffic while keeping our guests dancing, laughing, and cheering the whole way. Our guests are still talking about it weeks later, and it was definitely one of our favorite moments of the night. Their energy and enthusiasm cannot be matched! Highly recommend!

Such a fun addition to our wedding!

We worked with Kinfolk Brass Band for our November 2023 wedding and we had the BEST experience. We opted for the full service package, including all permits and routing for our secondline parade, AND we had the BEST GRAND MARSHAL IN NEW ORLEANS -- Mr. Oliver "Squirt Man" Hunter! Rest in peace, you remarkable man!!
The company has a whole was easy to work with, the band was on-time and ready to go, they were so fun and sweet even in all the chaos, and they kept our guests going as we paraded through the French Quarter on a very busy Saturday! They even let our friend, a professional trumper player herself, to join them along the route! We highly recommend Kinfolk for their talents, reliability, professionalism, and above all A WILD GOOD TIME!!

An authentic second line experience!!

Nola wedding

Working with the Kinfolk Brass Band for our NOLA wedding second line was an absolute highlight. From our initial contact, their professionalism and enthusiasm were remarkable, making the planning process seamless. Kinfolk was amazing and a blast!

We hired Kinfolk for our destination wedding in April. I'm so glad we did!! We had them lead guests out of our reception to end the night on a great note. The group was very professional and outgoing. Most of our guests were not from the area so they were all surprised at what was happening and had a blast parading through the streets. Sarah was very responsive and accommodating as well during the booking process. They handled the permitting, security and everything. Highly recommend Kinfolk!

Great Second Line Band!

Kinfolk performed the second line at our small New Orleans wedding. They were super fun, lively, and easy to work with. They organized the route and the all the permits and the police escorts. Everything went super smoothly. Would definitely recommend including a Grand Marshal. He brought so much energy!

Amazing experience!

I'm so appreciative of everything Kinfolk Brass Band did for my groom and I words can't express how thankful I am. Our favorite part of the wedding was by far the second line. When we paraded down Magazine Street with all of our family and friends, we felt incredibly special. Everyone thought the band was amazing and enjoyed every minute of it. If you're looking to do a second line for your wedding, I would highly recommend Kinfolk Brass Band!
