The Hot 8 Brass Band

If you are looking for a special New Orleans vibe, they deliver and will make your wedding or event very memorable. The music was excellent and had everyone dancing. They know how to play to a crowd and get everyone in a great mood.

These Grammy winners brought a Grammy level performance to our event. Everyone loved the set and couldn't help but dance and get into it. From initial discussions to onsite performance, the band and their team were professional and did everything they could to make the show the best it could be.

Wow. When you book a Grammy award winning act, you expect a quality performance - but H8BB took it to the next level. Fantastic collaboration, with the band performing 2 very different sets across the venue over the course of one evening (including an awesome live remix with DJ Yoda!), and exquisite professionalism - from booking through to show night. Can’t wait for the opportunity to work with these guys again.

The Hot 8 were a great wedding band to have at our wedding! We originally saw them perform at Jazz fest and knew we wanted them to perform at our wedding. They also had a great package that included the second line band, which the guests loved. The call and response style music made it very engaging and fun. The Hot 8 are a Grammy winning band who have an artistic delivery that embodies a true New Orleans style experience. Their professional management made it easy to communicate with them in the planning stages even while they were busy on tour.

Our wedding would not have been the same had Hot 8 Brass Band not been there. We got married seven years ago and my friends and family STILL say how awesome it was to have Hot 8 perform. The band and their managers were so professional and reliable. They were easy to work with along the way and the day of they brought the energy to our upstate NY wedding. It's really a memory that my husband and I will never forget. We feel connected to this band for life now and they always remember us when we see them at shows in New Orleans or when they're touring around the US. They performed their hits and some classics too. Our entire wedding was up dancing for 30+ minutes as we got introduced and people barely ate dinner because they were busy on the dance floor throughout the night. We love these guys!

Our guests included many people who had never been to New Orleans before. We wanted to make sure they got to experience a brass band on their trip and Hot 8 over delivered. It was the highlight of many of their weekends. There was also a strong contingent of New Orleanians there who remarked on our wedding being the most fun they had been to in their own city. This is in large part due to the Hot 8’s performance.

If you want a band to take requests and play the same songs you hear at every wedding, this might not be right for you. However, if you are a fan of great music and are looking to give your guests a once-in-lifetime evening with a legitimately world-class, Grammy winning musical act performing just for them, look no further. We don’t think you’ll regret it.

They offer incredible value for what they will bring in terms of professionalism, performance, and energy. They were very easy to work with, showed up on time, led a second line between our dinner venue and party venue a few blocks away, and then proceeded to blow us and all of our guests away for 3 hours.

Hiring the Hot 8 was unquestionably one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning.
