Wedding Music Bands in Louisiana

I hired them for a private party of mine and they absolutely delivered. My guests were dancing and singing along. Really had such a great time. Also Sam and Amanda were super responsive with any questions I had during the whole process. Would definitely recommend them

We truly cannot say enough amazing things about The River City Hit Squad. Our wedding was incredible overall (our guests have been raving about it nonstop), but somehow how amazing the band was is always what people bring up, even more than a month later. That alone says everything! We are very serious dance floor wedding people, so having an amazing band was one of our top priorities, and they absolutely delivered. The energy they brought was unreal. They weren’t just playing music, they were out on the dance floor with us, dancing, interacting, and completely hyping everyone up. It made the whole night feel so fun and personal. And the lead female singer was INCREDIBLE. Her voice and stage presence completely blew everyone away. Bobby was so communicative, helpful, and just genuinely nice throughout the entire process. Since we don’t live in New Orleans and had never seen them in person, booking them felt like a bit of a leap of faith but it ended up being one of the best decisions we made. Truly zero regrets! Also worth noting: they were more affordable than a lot of the other bands we looked at, especially for the number of people in the band, which made the decision even easier. If you’re even considering them, just do it. They made our wedding unforgettable!!

We hired Dat Band for our daughter’s wedding, and have been repeatedly told by our guests that the band was fantastic. I agree, they were in tune with the reception crowd, engaged with the vibe of the dancing and attuned to the reception pace with the toasts and first dances. I highly recommend them. They also were familiar with the venue as well.

Ryan and I can't thank the Boogie Men enough for making our wedding reception so fabulous and fun!!! They were absolutely amazing and everyone danced the night away! We received so many compliments on how much everyone loved the band, and many of our guests, including out of town Florida guests, did not leave the dance floor all night. They were very interactive and many of the band members came to the dance floor to play and get the crowd involved. They did a wonderful second line out the venue to end the reception. Dealing with Scott was great, and he was easy to communicate with during the planning. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a band for any occasion!

If you are looking for a special New Orleans vibe, they deliver and will make your wedding or event very memorable. The music was excellent and had everyone dancing. They know how to play to a crowd and get everyone in a great mood.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Bag of Donuts was the perfect band for our perfect wedding! We were looking for a fun band to keep guests on the dance floor for the entire night and we picked the right band. They kept us dancing until the very end. They had people on the dance floor that never dance. My groom and I had the best time ever. My in laws were a little skeptical when I told them about the band I hired. The morning after the wedding she told me I couldn't have chosen a better band. By far the best wedding ever!! The band members interacted with the crowd and they worked with us with every detail. We got married 11 days ago and we still have not stopped getting messages about how fun our wedding was and how great the band was. They were very professional, and made all my special requests happen. We would definitely request them to any of our family and friends for their wedding or any event and I can't wait for my next event. They will definitely be there.

Phat Hat was the highlight of our New Orleans destination wedding reception! A month later, our friends and family are still buzzing about the band. We cannot recommend them highly enough. I am from New Orleans, but we planned our wedding from out-of-state. It was really important to us to find a band with an authentic New Orleans sound who could handle destination wedding logistics. We reached out to ~10 bands, and Phat Hat stood out in particular for their extensive demo videos, exciting song list, and competitive pricing. Importantly, unlike many local New Orleans bands that rotate musicians each gig, Phat Hat is a fixed 8-piece group (male + female vocalists, guitar, bass, drums, and a three-horn section). That meant the sound we loved online is exactly what we got on our wedding day, which was crucial when planning remotely. We couldn't believe our luck in finding a band that sounded this good! Rick (their guitarist) was our main point-of-contact and was an absolute pleasure, making the entire out-of-state planning process seamless. He coordinated directly with our venue, helped us understand every step of booking a live band, and directly managed the ceremony music. Rick even sourced a pianist from outside the city when local options were booked, finding us the perfect musician to play the songs we wanted for the ceremony. Phat Hat was also very flexible to work with the equipment available at the venue, handling sound, lighting, stage setup, and timing across both ceremony and reception (which were at the same location) without us needing to worry about anything. They were just eager to play a show! And they absolutely crushed that show. They began captivating our guests before the night even started. While we were taking pre-wedding photos, their saxophonist started soundcheck by warming up with the first few notes of “Careless Whisper,” and the entire room went quiet. Someone in our wedding party broke the silence, saying “Whoa, he’s incredible.” That moment set the tone for the music that night. Every musician is outstanding. Wendell’s vocals are unreal (his smooth, powerful baritone on “What You Won’t Do for Love” stopped me in my tracks when I was supposed to go cut the wedding cake!). Guests are still sending me videos of Rick’s “Purple Rain” solo. And I think the memory of looking down at our reception from upstairs during Phat Hat's rendition of Norah Jones' jazzy, wistful "Don't Know Why" will stick with me forever. I could go on and on about these musicians. Their setlist was the perfect mix of soul/funk and modern hits -- classy, cool, yet high-energy and infectious. It felt exactly like the New Orleans vibe I grew up loving. They also emceed the evening, interacted with the crowd, and kept the event flowing smoothly. They DJ'd recorded music for our first dance song as well as a short playlist of our selections for their break. Most importantly, they kept our dance floor packed all night. Everything felt effortless and fun. I can't wait to catch another one of their shows when we visit New Orleans next. If you’re planning a destination wedding in New Orleans, Phat Hat is exactly the band you want: world-class musicians who will make your night unforgettable. Book them -- you will be glad you did!

Big Fun Brass Band is and has always been one of those solid, reliable, and fun vendors for everything from a 2nd line parade, jazz musicians for a ceremony or cocktail hour, and even a reception band that keeps the dance floor packed! They are on time, every time. Their musicians truly seem to love being part of Big Fun because they have been with the band for years! Seriously cannot recommend enough!! After 8 is a BLAST!!! Our guest actually refused to get off the dance floor!!! This band is FABULOUS to work with prior to wedding day, AND they DELIVER on expectations on wedding day!!

Very Amazing band! Was very interactive with bride/groom and guests. Can’t say enough good things about this great group of people!
