Kelly took my fiancée's and my engagement photos in January 2023. We were both super nervous -- we had never had professional photos taken and can be awkward in front of a camera -- but Kelly put us immediately at ease. She helped at every step of the way, even consulting on our outfits and my makeup to ensure we were dressed in a way that would translate well to photographs. She also made the process playful and fun.

Our session with Kelly was one of the first she shot with a manual camera (as opposed to the automatic digital cameras most photographers used). It was clearly a complex process for her -- and one only someone absolutely in love with photography would ever commit to! -- but the photos turned out amazingly. The colors were brighter, clearer, and more vibrant than I could have ever imagined.

I am so grateful to Kelly and happy to have found her work online. Were we not getting married in another country with a near-impossible visa process for wedding photographers, we would hire her for our wedding in an instant!! I truly could not recommend her more highly.

When we moved our wedding because of Covid, we needed to find a new photographer for our November 2021 wedding. Our planner recommended Kelly and we immediately clicked! She understood exactly what we were looking for and when we met her the day of the wedding, she immediately made us comfortable. I’m almost not sure where to start on describing how amazing Kelly was as our wedding photographer. From being accommodating and transparent through a global pandemic, to giving us the most amazing wedding pictures we could ever imagine. One of the best things I thought about Kelly’s business is that all packages must include an engagement shoot. It gave us not only time to get used to being photographed, but also used to the way she works, terms shes uses, etc. Kelly’s personality makes everyone involved feel more comfortable and excited about every second of the day. Kelly was an absolute dream to work with from day one!!! She's professional yet personable, organized but not bossy, and a perfect mix of artistry and FUN, FUN, FUN! As a photographer myself I was worried when choosing/trusting a photographer for our engagement photos and wedding day. I like a nice mix of casually-posed and docu-tyle and I'm a lighting snob. Kelly managed to surpass these expectations by miles! She "held our hands" and stream-lined the process from the very beginning with short questionnaires and zoom meetings whenever we wanted to chat. She knew the questions to ask that prevented the problems that often pop-up during the chaos of your big day. One of our favorite things about Kelly is her ability to bring out your distinct personality as a couple whether it's your color palette, your interests, or your pets (she took the most amazing family portrait with our notoriously difficult to photograph black cat). She really has an understanding of people and makes magic with light and locations. She lives up to her tagline "Queering Tradition" as she is dedicated to understanding and celebrating your unique level of traditional vs non-traditional needs and how that relates to gender presentation and identity. My partner kept turning to me while Kelly was shooting us and saying "I wish we could have Kelly around all the time! She's the best hype woman!" Kelly showed up to our venue early with her assistant and did a ton of location scouting around the venue to get some FANTASTIC neighborhood shots before the ceremony and during sunset. She's quick on her feet, quick to get the shot so you can keep partying, and always willing to hop into a bush because it will make the picture picture. Kelly and her assistant Natalie captured every detail of the day and were exceptionally patient and flexible with our continual changes due to COVID. Our photos are over-the-top gorgeous and we will always treasure how she captured one of the best days of our lives! Hire Kelly to take your engagement and wedding photos...you won't be sorry!

In searching for a wedding photographer, we wanted to make sure we found someone who was able to capture the energy of our wedding, focusing on the people, actions, and context that made our wedding and reflect who we are. We chose Kelly specifically because her photographs are colorful, energetic, and centered on the people that made the wedding, rather than the mundane typical photographs that overly focused on place settings and linens. We loved her approach to capturing energy and moments, and her commitment to diversity.

Kelly was a true pleasure to work with. In addition to being extremely professional and prepared, Kelly was responsive and communicative with us over email as we planned our pre-wedding photoshoot as well as the logistics of our wedding day. During our shoots, Kelly was enthusiastic, goofy, and completely disarming, which really helped us feel less self-conscious about being in front of the camera. By the end of our wedding she felt like family. As our wedding was live streamed from a theater, we presented Kelly with the most awkward lighting challenge, as we had colored stage lights and were standing in front of an LED wall, and the photos still came out stunning.

We couldn’t be happier with Kelly’s photos. Our wedding shots were vibrant and exciting, and truly documented the uniqueness of a virtual wedding thrown in the midst of a pandemic. Kelly had a great eye for choosing locations to take pictures which helped us tell the story of where and when we had our wedding while still showing the love and excitement of the day. We’ve already ordered multiple prints of her photos to send to our family and we plan to order more. We highly recommend Kelly.

Kelly is an amazing photographer and was a really fun addition to our wedding! From the beginning of the wedding planning process, she was attentive and helpful in making sure that we would have great photographs to last a lifetime. Early on, she scheduled an engagement photoshoot for us (which we hadn't initially planned) in order to get to know us as a couple and what kinds of photos we liked. The pictures from that day are superb! She then followed up with us throughout the planning, making sure to know which moments throughout the day we wanted to capture. When she learned that we would be holding two separate events just before the ceremony (tisches), she made sure to bring a second photographer along so that both events would be equally captured. During the wedding itself, Kelly and her partner were totally unobtrusive -- I never felt like a camera was in my face or in the way of anything. At the same time, she even made a last-minute suggestion (to hold our simcha dancing outside the tent rather than inside) because she thought both the photos and the experience would be better -- and she was totally right! The pictures from the day are excellent and truly capture the joy we felt. I highly recommend Kelly's services for your wedding!
