Kayla and her fiancé Ryan were my photographers for my outdoor wedding on Palomar Mountain, and I could not have asked for better people to capture our big day. My ceremony location was not the easiest landscape to work with, but they were so adaptable and knowledgeable that they made it look easy. Weddings can be crazy and Kayla and Ryan really made us feel like the day was about us, and Kayla made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride in the world. Sometimes getting your pictures taken on your big day can be nerve racking and awkward but they both made conversation with us the whole time, so we really got to know each other, and Kayla gave us really great cues for the best results. Not one moment was awkward for us. Towards the end, we felt like Kayla and Ryan were guests at our wedding instead of our photographers which was a really great feeling. Kayla had an insanely quick turnaround time, and every picture she got was undeniably perfect. I would 100% recommend Kayla for your upcoming wedding, engagement shoot, couples shoot, anything!

I am so glad we went with Kayla as our wedding photographer! She had great communication with us leading up to our wedding. We had specific photos we wanted with our bridal party and she was able to capture them for us as well as all of the other staple photos. We are so happy with the photos we got back. If you want quality work I highly recommend Kayla.

Kayla was amazing! She easily blended in with our group, like one of our family members! Excellent communication, on time, great value and she delivered quality photos in a timely manner. We loved having her at our event, she captured our happiness beautifully.

Overall, we had a lovely experience working with Kayla. She is incredibly kind, easy to work with, and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her photos accentuate the beauty of the moment while staying natural and full of emotion. She went above and beyond for us when editing our photos, even re-editing some group shots to fix some closed eyes, which we deeply appreciated. Her pricing is also very reasonable for the quality of work she provides.
That said, we were disappointed with how the timing of sunset photos was handled. Unfortunately, during both our engagement session and wedding day, the timing was off, and we missed some of the golden hour lighting we had hoped for, especially during our engagement shoot. While it didn’t ruin our experience, and we still managed to take some amazing shots within the time we had, it is something we wish had been planned more carefully. Additionally, there were moments we were excited to have captured during the wedding, but the photos either excluded important people from the final shot or only a single picture was taken, failing to capture the moment we had hoped for. Lastly, we wanted more direction during the photo shoots themselves, both as a couple and in the family group shots. We had a second shooter, but felt like we hoped for more pictures of the day and did not feel that the amount and diversity of candid pictures captured the money invested in a second shooter. Reviewing her portfolio from other wedding days at our venue, we hoped to see more shots that captured similar moments, such as couples portraits, the ceremony, and grand entrances, with our faces clearly visible due to the closer or zoomed-in shots.
All that said, her warmth, professionalism, and final gallery have made a warm, lasting impression. We are so grateful for the memories she captured and recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
