She was very organized which helped our wedding day run smoothly and was so accommodating to make sure we got all the shots we wanted. Could not recommend Katie more! I had known for years I wanted her to shoot our wedding and she traveled to Chicago without a single problem for us! She was super responsive and communicative, she was helpful in the pre-planning stages (like helping me figure out a wedding day timeline!), and she was great on the day of our wedding. She worked well in tandem with our wedding coordinator and I never felt like I had to tell her anything; she was on top of it all! She gives great direction and also captures those candid moments that you love. Her photos are drop-dead gorgeous and she turned around the most stunning little "sneak peek" gallery right away after the wedding. I haven't been able to stop looking at our photos! 20/10!!!

Katie Ricard is the hype girl you need from the moment you get engaged until the last photo is taken at your wedding. Even then, she keeps the party going with sneak peeks that take you back to the wedding, just hours after the excitement dies down and you wish you could relive every moment. Katie goes above and beyond to learn about her couples. Her approach to coaching during your photos is to give feedback when needed, but more importantly recognize the need for silence and allow the couple to Interact naturally with one another to allow for candid moments that truly capture their essence. In addition to understanding the couple, she also takes time to learn about key family members and wedding party members. She adjusts her approach based on the energy and comfort level of various members of the group. Lastly, when you hire Katie, you are hiring someone who truly cares about your vision, well being, and joy. She brings a positive energy and calming presence to a stressful day. There is absolutely no one else I would trust with our wedding day.

Katie was absolutely amazing! All our photos were phenomenal! We couldn't have chosen a better photographer. We felt super comfortable having our intimate ceremony photographed by her, as well as having our photos taken after. She had us do a variety of great poses and chose the perfect background areas. Katie was super great with communication as well as offering suggestions for the location of our elopement, backup plans in case of inclement weather, etc. We are so glad we went with Katie and would 100% recommend her to anyone else

Katie was outstanding to work with--we're so glad we chose her as our photographer. She's super on top of everything, asks all the right questions in advance, and made sure to get every shot that we knew was important--plus so many more. We were overwhelmed by how many amazing photos we got, and friends and family can't stop commenting about how great the photography was. The portraits and detail shots were amazing, but the candid shots were our favorites. I think that's the most important--anyone with some basic skill can get the portraits, but it's really special to have a photographer who was able to get all those special non-posed moments (not just of us, but of our guests). Looking at the photos is really like reliving the day.

Katie is also awesome to work with on the day of. She has great vibes and as soon as she arrived she got straight to business taking detail shots. She had the clear attitude that she knew what she was doing, and the photos prove it. She got along with everyone and communicated well before, during, and after.
