  Katie Ricard is a real pro

  Katie was the perfect photographer for our special day. I highly recommend working with her. She was organized, timely and a pleasure to work with. We had a last minute change and needed to add video to our package and Katie was accommodating and transparent. She handled everything and it worked out beautifully. Her style is beautiful and she helped us look incredible throughout the day. I hope we can work together in the future!

  Most gorgeous photos in the world!

  Could not recommend Katie more! I had known for years I wanted her to shoot our wedding and she traveled to Chicago without a single problem for us! She was super responsive and communicative, she was helpful in the pre-planning stages (like helping me figure out a wedding day timeline!), and she was great on the day of our wedding. She worked well in tandem with our wedding coordinator and I never felt like I had to tell her anything; she was on top of it all! She gives great direction and also captures those candid moments that you love. Her photos are drop-dead gorgeous and she turned around the most stunning little "sneak peek" gallery right away after the wedding. I haven't been able to stop looking at our photos! 20/10!!!

  Amazing Photographer!!!

  Katie was absolutely amazing! All our photos were phenomenal! We couldn't have chosen a better photographer. We felt super comfortable having our intimate ceremony photographed by her, as well as having our photos taken after. She had us do a variety of great poses and chose the perfect background areas. Katie was super great with communication as well as offering suggestions for the location of our elopement, backup plans in case of inclement weather, etc. We are so glad we went with Katie and would 100% recommend her to anyone else

  More than a photographer!

  Katie Ricard is the hype girl you need from the moment you get engaged until the last photo is taken at your wedding. Even then, she keeps the party going with sneak peeks that take you back to the wedding, just hours after the excitement dies down and you wish you could relive every moment. Katie goes above and beyond to learn about her couples. Her approach to coaching during your photos is to give feedback when needed, but more importantly recognize the need for silence and allow the couple to Interact naturally with one another to allow for candid moments that truly capture their essence. In addition to understanding the couple, she also takes time to learn about key family members and wedding party members. She adjusts her approach based on the energy and comfort level of various members of the group. Lastly, when you hire Katie, you are hiring someone who truly cares about your vision, well being, and joy. She brings a positive energy and calming presence to a stressful day. There is absolutely no one else I would trust with our wedding day.

  The best photographer out there!

  Reflecting on our recent wedding, my husband and I both decided that having Katie as our photographer was the best decision we made! She is seriously the absolute BEST! Throughout the whole process, from engagement pictures to the big day, everything was seamless. Katie was friendly, personable, responsive, and incredibly organized. We had a surprise snowfall for our Spring wedding and Katie was so positive and creative in dealing with this unexpected weather. She is beyond talented and takes beautiful photographs. We HIGHLY recommend Katie Ricard to anybody looking for a photographer!

  Above and beyond all expectations

  Katie was outstanding to work with--we're so glad we chose her as our photographer. She's super on top of everything, asks all the right questions in advance, and made sure to get every shot that we knew was important--plus so many more. We were overwhelmed by how many amazing photos we got, and friends and family can't stop commenting about how great the photography was. The portraits and detail shots were amazing, but the candid shots were our favorites. I think that's the most important--anyone with some basic skill can get the portraits, but it's really special to have a photographer who was able to get all those special non-posed moments (not just of us, but of our guests). Looking at the photos is really like reliving the day.
  
  Katie is also awesome to work with on the day of. She has great vibes and as soon as she arrived she got straight to business taking detail shots. She had the clear attitude that she knew what she was doing, and the photos prove it. She got along with everyone and communicated well before, during, and after.

We interviewed several photographers and we kept coming back to Katie in part because her shots are gorgeous but also because she is so easy going!   Katie did our engagement session and the results were amazing- we haven't stopped receiving compliments since we got our photos! She was very professional and was able to (somehow) make my fiancé and I look like some sort of models for a bride magazine. We used our photos for our save the dates and also for our invitations. They look perfect! Highly recommend her!

  This is your photographer. I don't think we could have found a better and more talented photographer than Katie. She is so friendly, easy-going, professional, and quick to respond. I was so nervous about looking like a big dork posing for photos but she makes you feel comfortable and at ease...and most of all she makes it fun! My husband and I originally were planning on having a big traditional wedding, but as we got into the planning process we decided it was not the direction we wanted to go. When we told her we instead wanted to do a small elopement style wedding in the mountains of North Caroline, she was right on board with us! What a lady. On our big day she worked like a well oiled machine. This girl knows what the hell she is doing! Most of all out of everything, our photos are breathtaking. They look like pages out of a magazine or photos that belong on pinterest. I don't know how she does it, but she makes you look how you should feel on your big day. She captures the moments you wouldn't think to capture, but are glad she did. I am having the hardest time deciding which ones to frame and to put into albums because they all are so seriously amazing! If you can do yourself one favor for your big day, it is hiring her for the job. She is the best of the best!

  If you're getting married in the Madison area, you definitely need to book Katie as your photographer! As someone who does not enjoy getting their picture taken, she makes it a lot of fun! Katie photographed both our engagement photos and our entire wedding day. The engagement photos were beautiful and the sneak peek of wedding photos I've seen so far are just gorgeous! I can't wait to see them all! I love her attention to the details. Katie is also super easy to work with. We live out of state, but Katie was able to meet with us on our schedule when we visited the Madison area. We also met on Skype and in person when planning for our wedding. Lastly, she's very fast with email and getting photos back to you. I highly suggest hiring Katie to be your wedding day photographer!

I came upon Katie's website when I first started planning and right away loved the look of her work. Her photos are beautiful, natural, and non-cheesy (very important). She was also the only photographer I found who allowed use to book per hour, which works for what we want on our wedding day. Katie maintained regular communication as we planned our engagement session and offered helpful suggestions. The session was fun and casual and I could tell that she really has an eye for her work. She took over 700 photos and was willing to trek around with us to make sure we have variety of options. I can't wait to see how they turn out!

She was always responsive and very adaptable, not to mention patient when things took a while or plans changed. Her photos really captured how our day felt and I will treasure them forever. As an added bonus, Katie sent our USB in the mail and surprised us with some prints as well. Everything was beautifully packaged in a little glass box.   Katie rocked our socks off with her photos. She is very responsive and easy to work with. She took time to get to know our tastes and expectations and proceeded to blow them away. Another huge plus is that she is super fast at editing your photos and getting them out to you. Don't hesitate to book Katie for your wedding or engagement photos.

  We worked with Katie for our April 2015 wedding and it was such an amazing experience! Our photographs turned out better than we could ever imagine, and she got them back to us so fast. I highly recommend her for any event!

  - Her prices are so reasonable. If you're looking for an affordable photographer in the Madison area, Katie is your girl! We looked at over 10 local photographers and Katie was priced significantly lower than the majority of them.
  
  - We had so many vendors that needed deposits early on, but we didn't want to spread ourselves too thin financially. So Katie let us pay in 3 smaller chunks instead of 2.
  
  - Katie is super creative and has such great ideas, it really took the pressure off of us from having to come up with ideas on our own. And she captures Kodak moments while they happen, so we got these incredibly candid shots of beautiful moments throughout our day.
  
  - In addition to our online viewing gallery, Katie sent us a flash drive with pictures that definitely went above and beyond. We expected just a standard flash drive, but what we got was two personalized keepsakes - A cute wooden box printed with one of our wedding pictures and an adorable wooden flash drive engraved with our names and wedding date. It was so thoughtful of her to do that!

  We worked with Katie for our April 2015 wedding and it was such an amazing experience! Our photographs turned out better than we could ever imagine, and she got them back to us so fast. I highly recommend her for any event!

  Katie was the Photographer for our wedding and engagement photos, and we could not have been more pleased. I would recommend Katie to anyone looking for both great photos and a great relaxed experience the day of!

  Additionally, some last minute construction and events forced us to move our bridal party photos on the fly. We went to an unplanned location, and Katie was able to direct the group to quickly get a ton of amazing shots.
  
  We got our photos back in a timely manner, and were blown away. In addition to the standard shots you would expect, there were so many candid moments that she captured perfectly. It really feels like we get to relive the day as we go through them.

  I would highly recommend Katie to anyone in need of a wedding photographer. I feel so lucky that I found her! Katie was extremely professional and super easy to work with. She was very responsive via email, which was great as I was planning my wedding from out of state. On the day of the wedding, she did a great job capturing all the action without it feeling intrusive or staged. I just got my pictures back last week and they are amazing!!   Out of all the people we worked with for our wedding Katie was by far the best. She is very easy going and a pleasure to work with. Her pictures for our wedding turned out perfectly and with a very fast turnaround time! She always showed up early to every appointment and event. I am a detail oriented person and the reason I liked her was because of her attention to detail and that definitely shows in our wedding photos. I recommended her to my cousin and they are now using her for their wedding as well and I strongly recommend her to anyone else who is looking for a photographer.

  Katie does wonderful photos that look clean, natural, and timeless. She's very easy and fun to work with and has a great personality and is conscientious about her work. Katie is quick to respond to emails and answers questions when asked. My husband and I used her for our wedding day and also asked her to come to a brunch we hosted the next day and are very happy with the end result.
