We booked with KTK in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, which like many others, turned into a 2021 wedding. All of the stress of planning and re-planning, finding vendors for a busy 2021 wedding season, and battling the uncertainty even a year later, was made so much easier with Kate! From our first meeting, I felt like I was planning with an old friend, and she took my interests and priorities to heart. Kate is so organized and plans everything down to the tiniest details to make sure everything is perfect. The day of the wedding, I had zero stress, as Kate had made the perfect timeline and was in communication with all the vendors and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible, even when there were hiccups beyond anyone's control. One of our elderly guests still raves about Kate every time we see him, as she was able to come up with an electric wheelchair for his wife who was unable to make it down the hill to our ceremony, and if it wasn't for Kate they would have missed it! I can't recommend KTK enough!

When first looking for a planner, I knew it was going to be hard. I am a very detailed person and expect anyone I hire to be the same. After reading a ton of reviews, I landed on Kate and her team. We had our first call and I knew instantly that she was the right fit for me. Kate made the experience so easy and helped keep everything organized. She was so sweet and I loved every phone call or interaction!

We found out that our original coordinator wouldn't be able to coordinate our wedding about 3-4 months before our big day, so I went back to our other choices to start from scratch and see who was still available to help us! We planned our wedding ourselves but with our venue being a blank slate, we really wanted a coordinator that could help us as soon as possible. I couldn't possibly wrap my mind around keeping all of our vendors organized after a while!
I honestly contacted Kate right away, we scheduled a meeting face to face, and she completely won us over. She was so sweet, organized, and knowledgeable, so it was not a question in my mind after that. She started right away and introduced herself to our vendors, helped us with a timeline, and just kept us on track in the last couple of hectic months leading to the wedding.
What topped it off was that our venue told her about two days before our wedding that we could no longer have the ceremony on the rooftop, which Kate had the lovely task of breaking the bad news to us. She helped us switch to another ceremony space in the same venue without any issues at all and really kept our minds at ease. She just gave us our options and the pros and cons with everything so that the decision on the new space was entirely ours and fits our vision.
On the day of, I didn't have any concerns and felt so relaxed. Kate and Elaine thought of every detail and really made it the best day ever! I couldn't thank them enough for everything they did. I keep getting comments on how perfect everything was and how smooth it all went and I just tell everyone that it's because of my amazing coordinators!

Omg, I am so lucky to have stumbled upon Kate's the Key...and so are you! From the beginning, Kate and Elaine always made me feel comfortable and confident that my wedding would be everything I hoped for. I chose the "Keep it simple" package, and these ladies delivered far beyond that. I could always count on Kate to answer any questions I had and she remained so patient and kind as she helped my clueless self navigate the wedding planning process. When we got news 5 days before the wedding that we could no longer use the venue due to the fires in Malibu, Kate and Elaine came to the rescue! Kate calmly informed me of the situation, allowed me to take a breath, and then jumped into business mode. It was exactly what I needed. With Thanksgiving 3 days away, finding a new venue, catering, and set up seemed daunting, but Kate and Elaine cracked down and in just 2 days we were able to relocate. And the processes was flawless. On the wedding day I was able to feel so at ease as they worked to keep everything in line. They did an amazing job and I kept getting compliments about how professional they are. Kate and Elaine are 2 badass woman and I have no doubt they could handle anything that comes their way. Love you ladies!

We had the absolute best experience with Kate and Elaine for our wedding! I was a pretty DIY bride, but I knew I didn’t want to worry about anything on the big day, and with Kate and team, I definitely didn’t have to. They really took care of everything - from helping figure out layout, managing the timeline, setting up our decor, to coordinating with vendors - and are so organized and on top of everything that you and your family/wedding party can simply just enjoy the day. For someone like me planning a wedding with no experience, it helps immensely to have someone on your side who knows what they’re doing. For example, she asked questions of vendors that I definitely wouldn’t have thought to ask, but were important and it was a relief to have that back up in those moments. I feel like she also took the time to get to know me and our vision for our wedding, so I was extremely comfortable with her when the day finally came. Kate’s the Key felt like the right fit from our first phone call and it really was the best decision to hire them. They went above and beyond to make our day completely stress-free and better than we’d envisioned. I can’t recommend them enough! Everyone needs a Kate and Elaine on their wedding day.

Kate, Elaine, and LeAnn were the captains of the all-star team of vendors we recruited for our wedding. We couldn't have been happier with their services.

First, Kate and team were incredibly organized, communicative, and generous with their time and advice. My wife and I are both logistics junkies; Kate and the team cleared the very high bar we set for our wedding coordinator. They put together a timeline that took into account the time limits of our venue and the aggressive programming we wanted to take place during our wedding. They also worked behind the scenes to ensure all our vendors were on the same page about day-of logistics. Kate ran an efficient rehearsal that left us plenty of time to be with our guests the day before the wedding, and on the day-of, Kate and Elaine ran a tight ship but still managed to get my wife and I everything we needed throughout the night.

Our wedding was the best day of our lives in large part because Kate, Elaine, and LeAnn put their very best feet forward to make our dream come true. We would have paid twice or three times as much as we did for their services because they were excellent in every way. I can’t say enough good things about the Kate’s the Key team. As a working mom, wedding planning was so daunting to me. Their expertise, patience, and support allowed them to seamlessly orchestrate this celebration in a matter that I can say would have totally overwhelmed my skill level. Hiring them was the best decision we’ve made! They took care of everything for us down to every little detail. All of this allowed us to focus on our special day and never once during the actual event did we have to worry about a single thing. They are an amazing team!!!

I used Kate’s the Key for the full service for my wedding last November in Monterey. I would not have been able to pull off the wedding without them! Being a destination wedding, there were a lot of unknowns in terms of vendors, etc. Kate worked within my budget to put me in contact with vendors in the area, and they all did An amazing job!
With my busy work schedule up until the wedding, Kate and LeAnn were so helpful with setting up my timelines and coordinating with the vendors as needed to make sure everything would fall into place.
They coordinated with the venue to set up the seating chart/layout, and made sure they had the time to set up the decorations AND flowers the day of! Kate, LeAnn, and Elaine did a fantastic job with the decorations and flowers. They made sure everything it was everything I envisioned with a beautiful mix of succulents, flowers, driftwood and beach decor!!
We also had our friend as our officiant, and it was his first time performing a ceremony, Kate took the reigns and helped with the rehearsal, which was above and beyond!!

My husband and I were very happy with the service of Kate's the Key. After a phone interview with Kate and a check with her references, we decided to work with her. We met once with Kate herself at a local coffee shop, and then met a second time with Kate and her assistant at our wedding venue, for a walk through. Finally, on the day of our wedding, we had Kate and TWO assistants. (We were only supposed to have one assistant according to our contract, but they brought another one, which was awesome!)
Overall, we were very happy with how communicative and easy to work with the team was. It was a little funny how unfamiliar they were with Jewish weddings, but I guess they know a lot more about them now! They were great on our wedding day and helped us deal with a minor crisis on the day of (we forgot to have someone pick up our Costco cake, and they somehow took care of it). They also coordinated with our other vendors. Overall, we were very happy with them! Definitely recommend them!
