Experience
Julie K. Gray earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from Maine College of Art. Julie has an eye for the pretty things in life, and she makes sure she captures every single one of them on your big day. She will work to make you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera so that pictures are natural rather than posed or forced.

Worth every cent!

We had such a wonderful experience with Julie Gray! She was professional, inspiring, and incredibly kind — even working with us when we had to postpone our wedding for a few years. Julie captured the most beautiful candid moments, and her use of color and light is simply stunning. Our photos are everything we hoped for and more. I’d love to work with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly talented photographer!

We loved all of our photos!! Julie is the best!

We are so beyond happy with our decision to hire Julie for our wedding photography!! She was a delight to work with, both leading up to the wedding and on our wedding day - extremely responsive, helpful, and made us and our families feel very comfortable. She delivered all of our photos to us so quickly as well, and we are so so happy with how they turned out. Our family and friends have all commented on how incredible they are, and how quick the turnaround was! We would definitely recommend hiring Julie for your special day, or any special occasion!

Julie is great at what she does

Julie made us and all our people look so freakin good, and captured the energy and the movement of so many moments so well. She has a lot of talent when it comes to using light to make her photos pop, and she knows how to do so in low light, with the sun behind the subject, etc. Feeling such appreciation for her and all the care she put into capturing the day so well. All of our friends and family members have loved them too. We'll certainly cherish them forever.

Elopement in Maine

Julie was so wonderful to work with! She was so kind and made the day feel so special and easy. The photos came out so lovely and my husband and I wouldn't have wanted another photographer there with us on our special day! Julie is the best.

Amazing fun photos

Julie is super skilled and fun to work with. We wanted someone to capture fun photos (vs the traditional photos) and she fully delivered for both our engagement and wedding photos. She’s super flexible and made us feel so comfortable the whole time given us direction while also capturing many candid shots. She has a knack for capturing the pure joy of the moments. HIGHLY recommend!

7/20/24 Maine wedding

Julie was wonderful to work with for our wedding in Kennebunkport! Leading up to the big day, she was organized, professional, and timely with her responses to our questions. On the day of, she fit in seamlessly and helped keep everyone relaxed throughout pictures. We then received our photos quickly after the wedding and are super pleased with how they came out! Julie did an amazing job capturing the natural joy of the day and this was evident in all of the photos. I would definitely recommend Julie to anyone looking to hire a photographer in the Maine area!

We are BEYOND thrilled that we chose Julie to capture our wedding. My wife and I had a destination wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine so choosing vendors was really just based on doing our own research and combing through reviews. From start to finish, everything with Julie was incredible. She really understood what we wanted and that aligned perfectly with her vibrant and candid style. She was so efficient on the day of the wedding as well so we were able to enjoy what we put together. She truly has an amazing eye, book her!

Highly Recommend!

Julie was hands down one of the best decisions we made in our wedding weekend! She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. She listened to what we wanted, asked what we needed, and was able to capture all the candid moments. Julie was present and direct when needed (when we had a lot of people and on a tight schedule) but then also was able to seamlessly blend into the background to where we didn't even notice she was there! She took the most beautiful photos AND provided the proofs extremely fast! Highly, highly recommend!

Kind, professional, and genuine person.

Julie was a genuinely good person who is incredibly good at her job. Picking a photographer that you "vibe" with on your wedding day is SO important - you spend HOURS with this person. She was kind, easy to get along with but not too overbearing. She was flexible with our group photo list and made our couples photos feel relaxed and fun. HIGHLY recommend for anyone getting married in the Kennebunkport, ME area!
