Worth every cent!

We had such a wonderful experience with Julie Gray! She was professional, inspiring, and incredibly kind — even working with us when we had to postpone our wedding for a few years. Julie captured the most beautiful candid moments, and her use of color and light is simply stunning. Our photos are everything we hoped for and more. I’d love to work with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly talented photographer!

We loved all of our photos!! Julie is the best!

We are so beyond happy with our decision to hire Julie for our wedding photography!! She was a delight to work with, both leading up to the wedding and on our wedding day - extremely responsive, helpful, and made us and our families feel very comfortable. She delivered all of our photos to us so quickly as well, and we are so so happy with how they turned out. Julie is great at what she does

Julie made us and all our people look so freakin good, and captured the energy and the movement of so many moments so well. She has a lot of talent when it comes to using light to make her photos pop, and she knows how to do so in low light, with the sun behind the subject, etc. Feeling such appreciation for her and all the care she put into capturing the day so well. All of our friends and family members have loved them too. We'll certainly cherish them forever.

Elopement in Maine

Amazing fun photos

Julie is super skilled and fun to work with. We wanted someone to capture fun photos (vs the traditional photos) and she fully delivered for both our engagement and wedding photos. She’s super flexible and made us feel so comfortable the whole time given us direction while also capturing many candid shots. She has a knack for capturing the pure joy of the moments. Julie was wonderful to work with for our wedding in Kennebunkport! Leading up to the big day, she was organized, professional, and timely with her responses to our questions. On the day of, she fit in seamlessly and helped keep everyone relaxed throughout pictures. We then received our photos quickly after the wedding and are super pleased with how they came out! Julie did an amazing job capturing the natural joy of the day and this was evident in all of the photos. I would definitely recommend Julie to anyone looking to hire a photographer in the Maine area!

We are BEYOND thrilled that we chose Julie to capture our wedding. Highly Recommend!

Julie was hands down one of the best decisions we made in our wedding weekend! She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. She listened to what we wanted, asked what we needed, and was able to capture all the candid moments. Julie was present and direct when needed (when we had a lot of people and on a tight schedule) but then also was able to seamlessly blend into the background to where we didn't even notice she was there! She took the most beautiful photos AND provided the proofs extremely fast! Highly, highly recommend!

Kind, professional, and genuine person.

Julie was a genuinely good person who is incredibly good at her job. Picking a photographer that you "vibe" with on your wedding day is SO important - you spend HOURS with this person. She was kind, easy to get along with but not too overbearing. She was flexible with our group photo list and made our couples photos feel relaxed and fun. HIGHLY recommend for anyone getting married in the Kennebunkport, ME area!

Obsessed!!

We are so glad that we found Julie! She shot our wedding at Kingsley Pines last weekend. Julie stuck with us through our COVID postponement , and was professional, personable, and communicative. On the day of of our wedding, she made two awkward people feel at ease. She gave direction, was organized, and flexible. The quality of her work is incredible! She captured everything perfectly--our friends, families, the decor, the waterfront, the cabins, the dance floor, the ceremony, etc. We can't recommend her enough. We already have our photos back and edited not even a full week later (and we can't stop looking at them).

Wonderful, we would recommend Julie to any couple!

Julie was communicative right from the beginning and helped put me at ease for the whole wedding planning process. She responded quickly to emails and when we met in person to review the formal pictures list and day of timeline she was punctual, kind, cheerful and overall a wonderful person to work with. Day of the wedding she captured so many amazing pictures and edited them so quickly! We were able to order our Thank you Cards so quickly because of that. Julie is amazing!

Julie was absolutely our favorite and best vendor to work with. First, her photography speaks for itself: bright colors, unique viewpoints, and capturing natural moments- all things we really wanted photographed at our wedding! At our engagement shoot she put us at ease, and even suggested some spots in Portland we didn't know about which resulted in some of our most favorite photos! Leading up to our wedding, she was organized, responsive, and responsible: she emailed me a month ahead of time to establish our timeline and "must have shots". She was also flexible in capturing a few getting-ready moments as well :) The photos came out so amazing- I can't stop looking at them! I would recommend Julie to anyone in a heartbeat.

We initially met Julie when she photographed our engagement and instantly fell in love with her style. We immediately booked her for our engagement photos and August 2022 wedding and could not be more pleased. Amazing Photographer

Julie and her assistant photographer were absolutely wonderful! They were both so professional and helped the day run very smoothly. I had a huge wedding party and Julie was easily able to organize us all with a kind and positive attitude. I was looking for bright colorful photos and Julie certainly delivered. Julie is professional, extremely talented, fast, and lovely to work with

We hired Julie for our engagement and wedding photos, an d she was absolutely incredible! First, she is an absolute delight to work with. She is friendly and down-to-earth and also cool as hell. She put us at ease and we felt very comfortable being photographed by her. She has an incredibly fast turnaround for photo edits, with engagement photos back THE NEXT DAY and almost 900 wedding photos back within a week. Our guests all adored her, and she was never in the way during the reception. Her photos are seriously stunning and bring out the natural beauty and joy in each subject- we all looked radiant! People who normally hate themselves in photos were reaching out to me to see how amazing they are. She does some of the staged photos that are typical, and those are great, but she truly shines in finding and capturing the candid, poignant, and funny moments that really bring the photos to life. The colors are beautiful and vibrant works of art. I seriously can't gush about Julie enough, and will probably have to find more excuses for her to photograph us in the future :) Seriously, our highest recommendation for Julie!

Easy to work with and stunning photos

Julie photographed a friend's wedding that I was in and I didn't hesitate to hire her to capture my wedding in May. She has a very calm presence and puts you at ease right away. She has a perfect way of sitting back and capturing what is happening while also giving direction for photography. My husband and I are not people who take a lot of pictures, so we weren't quite sure what to do a lot of the time. Julie would quietly guide us with sort of a "trust me!" look on her face. All of the shots that she gave us direction on are easily our favorites of the bunch! Julie also took beautiful photos of everything happening all day and looking through them allows us to relive the day over and over. We had a beautiful day filled with so much joy and we cannot thank Julie enough for capturing that joy in photos.

Amazing Experience, Stunning Photos!

We had the BEST experience with Julie! We had originally planned our wedding for summer 2020, but due to covid-19, our plans changed and for a while we didn't know when/where/what we were going to do. Julie was so flexible and understanding throughout all the uncertainty, and we are so so so happy that we finally had our day and Julie was there to document such a sweet celebration after such a long wait! Julie makes taking photos fun!

We were incredibly impressed by Julie from start to finish. After reading through many reviews we scheduled a phone call to meet each other as we were not local. Her honesty was one of the things I truly appreciated we had just begun the wedding planning process and had already given a few deposits so I asked if I could wait a month before signing our contract and providing our deposit. Julie said yes and that she would let us know if anyone else inquired about our date. A few weeks went by and Julie reached out saying another bride had asked about our day, I knew it was time to move forward.
Fast forward to the wedding day, Julie arrived on time with no issues getting herself to the island we were getting married on. We finally met each other in person and I could just tell we were the perfect fit. Having pictures taken can be stressful and uncomfortable at times but we did not feel any of these emotions with Julie we were laughing and just having a really good time. We also had numerous friends and family comment on how great she was!
I had heard many horror stories about the length of time couples had waited to get their photos back because of this I was ready to wait weeks knowing full well that the photos would be worth the wait. Much to my surprise just 4 DAYS after our wedding we received a link with every photo available at our fingertips. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Thanks Julie!

Amazing photos

Literally blown away with the quality of the pictures and the moments she was able to capture! I can look through and literally relive the entire day! From getting ready, to having mimosas with my bridesmaids in our robes, my parents reading the card I wrote them and crying lol, then our entire beach wedding photos were great! She did an amazing job with our family photos but also got some really cool fun ones with our wedding party cheering in the background as we shared a kiss. That one is my absolute favorite. At the reception, again I can relive all the moments, including my uncle's family tradition of finger swiping the back of the cake! She went through and found all of these either fun or intimate interactions between my guests and got photos of that. I am actually sending personal pictures to each couple of them at the wedding with my thankyou cards, they are that good! Julie is a very fun and easy to talk to photographer. Even though this was a destination wedding at a beach that's three hours away from us, I would actually consider having her do my maternity photos down the road! Impressive work. Highly Recommend

We hired Julie for our intimate wedding at a "camp" by a lake in Maine. Ahead of the wedding, she was communicative, organized, and timely. She arrived at the wedding on time and got right to work on photographing the scene (while we were running a bit behind schedule.) Once we were taking couple photos she made it really easy for us, setting us up to act naturally as she got her shots. Throughout the wedding she was engaged and seemed genuinely happy to be there with us. Since we had such a tiny wedding it was really nice to have her feel like she was enjoying being there too. She made she we got all the shots we wanted. And after, she got us the photos within 2 DAYS! They were beautiful and we were very happy. I highly recommend her.

Highly recc. Julie - experienced & talented

If you are looking for a photographer who is experienced, easy to work with and takes beautiful photos, look no further. Julie was super efficient, getting tons of great shots, but allowing us and our wedding party to enjoy the cocktail hour and reception! She was like a photo ninja, blending in and moving thru the day taking great shots that were so natural and candid. She also delivered the photos to us sooo quickly, only 3 days after the wedding! And they came out beautiful. Plus her pricing is beyond reasonable for her level of experience and skills. Great experience all around, we would definitely recommend her.

We initially hired Julie for our June 2020 wedding in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. We do not live in Maine, so I only spoke with her on the phone before hiring her. I felt at ease after only talking to her on the phone, so I knew she was a good choice. We had to reschedule our wedding to June 2021 due to Covid. Julie was very understanding and flexible during the rescheduling process. On the day of our wedding, she was delightful to have around and she gave just the right amount of direction. Even my family members commented on how much they liked her. She sent us our entire photo gallery within one week after the wedding and we love the photos. Nicest Photographer!!!

First of all Julie was such a kind, calm and just really nice person. Great qualities for a photographer to have especially on what could be a stressful day for some. Even wearing a mask the whole time you could still tell she was smiling:) We really wanted the day to be happy and joyful, and Julies kind and calm ways helped contribute to that. Though she was calm she also mixed that with super speed and efficiency especially with getting the formal pictures taken. We wanted to get those, but also not make the rest of our guests have to wait while we took pictures. She did really good at getting that done!
The rest of the evening she was always busy capturing the day, and considering the circumstances with corona and masks did such a great job! Julie’s personality also comes through in the pictures she takes which are light and happy, just what we were looking for, and why we chose her.
So glad we had her there to capture our special day!

Wonderful Relaxed Engagement Shoot!

My fiancee and I are getting married in Vermont next year but really wanted to have our engagement photos taken in Maine this fall and wanted to have one photographer for both occasions. Julie responded to us right away. She was friendly, professional, flexible, responsive, and reassuring as we worked out scheduling and traveling safely during COVID. We ended up with a beautiful day for our shoot and, though we were nervous to be in front of the camera, Julie eased us in and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. She was game to figure out a couple of special shots we wanted and then had plenty of great ideas to fill in the rest of our time. She got our pictures back to us so quickly, and they are wonderful! We're so excited to have her with us on our wedding day next year!

Stop looking and hire Julie!

If you need a wedding photographer look no further! Julie is simply the best! For starters, when booking, she was so accommodating to my terribly schedule and was so understanding when i had to reschedule and cancel things. There was a point where I almost had to change my wedding date and she was still so flexible and easy to work with! When it comes to taking the pictures she is just simply the best. Both my husband and I have never had these types of pictures done and we waited til the day before the wedding to do our "engagement shoot". She made this awkward pair feel so natural while not looking overly staged or fake. She was very accommodating and patient with our dog being involved as well. When it came to the wedding day she captured everything! More than I could even think of and she really knows how to work with the natural light that is provided, I never really think I look good in pictures but when I look at our wedding photos they are stunning. It is hard to pick my favorites as I just love them all so much. If you still need a wedding photographer do not wait and book her now! you will not be disappointed she is seriously the nicest, calm, most accommodating and talented photographer. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing photographer!

Julie was amazing to work with! Always responsive, full of great ideas, and able to capture beautiful shots. Julie was a blessing to work with! Our original wedding plans were changed due to COVID, so we opted for a small elopement with our kids in Maine. Julie was flexible, quick to respond, and really helped us pull together a beautiful ceremony. She had recommendations for a ceremony site and at the last minute allowed us to add an extra photo shoot at our rental house before the ceremony. Julie was thoughtful with her photos and we are so very pleased with her artistic approach to capturing our day. She took so many beautiful candid shots and we treasure her photos as we relive our wedding. She managed to get so many amazing emotions of us and our kids. Julie was comfortable to work with and helped us to feel natural in front of the camera. She was able to edit them and return them to us within a week and we can't stop looking at our photos!

Kindness and flexibility (plus a lot of talent) - a winning combo!

Julie is wonderful! Because of Covid-19, we had to move our reception to next year and to downsize our 2020 ceremony and Julie was very accomodating. She offered us several options, such as a reasonable "elopement-style" package to fit our shorter ceremony's needs or the option of using the engagement shoot time we had already paid for for this abbreviated ceremony. Seriously, so kind! She made what could have been a stressful time so easy and friendly. She clearly LOVES what she does and loves working with the couples she photographs.

Not only are her photos magical and effortless, she made my now husband and I (we are very awkward and shy in front of a camera) super comfortable on the day of and we hadn't even met her in person before. A true feat! She was warm, fun to talk to, and very professional while we tried to keep our August 2020 ceremony as covid-safe as possible. Looking at the photos from the day, I'm so impressed that she captured the joy and flow of our very traditional and socially distant church ceremony... Even though there was a lot of mask wearing and not many people there; I can hardly even tell because of her good eye and instincts - every shot is so beautifully done. We are just so pleased!
I look forward to seeing her again in 2021 for our reception!

Best photographer!

My husband and I are not comfortable in front of cameras. Julie was incredible, she captured our love genuinely, took flattering candids and posed pictures of our guests and did an amazing job communicating the joy of our wedding! We did an extra 2 hr engagement shoot after the wedding and got pictures that we’ll treasure forever. Julie was professional, low key, and got back with pictures in a few days!

Julie is Amazing!!

Julie is wonderful. Her work speaks for itself, but her presence is such an important part of the way she works. She understands people. She knows how to be in the right place at the right time, but you almost don’t notice there’s a camera in your face because she knows how to be there without just being a machine. It makes it easy to be in front of he camera without making stupid faces.

You have found the most talented and kind photographer on earth! Stop your search and say yes—she is the one!! My wife and I were so lucky that we snagged Julie to photograph our wedding. All our guests commented on two things: she was so nice, they never saw her taking photos, and the photos turned out SO INCREDIBLE. She has a style and maybe you think it’s not for you but I am telling you as a friend (well, a friend from the depths of the internet): don’t be an idiot. You are going to look astonishingly good in her photos and they will be beautiful and *elevated* and romantic without being cheesy in the least. The BEST photographer choice for a simple and intimate wedding!

We booked Julie to be our wedding photographer the second we saw her portfolio. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout our time with her. She really has a knack for capturing the essence of the wedding and those special moments that not everyone is able to witness on the big day. She was there throughout the day, but also had a way of blending in. She really took the time to make sure that we got all the photos we wished for, INCLUDING extended family shots of our very massive family. I couldn't imagine celebrating my wedding day without her as our photographer; it was simple, elegant, and intimate and she captured all of that in her photos. About a week after the big day, we received a wonderful gift in the mail from her with our photos on a USB drive as well as a gorgeously done book to store it in with our photo on the cover. It was a simple touch but really made the difference to us. A wonderful way to end the festivities, and something we will cherish for years to come. She definitely met all of our needs (and then some), and I'm sure she will for you as well! Thank you so much Julie!

Absolutely amazing!

Julie is fabulous to work with! Not only are the photos wonderful but being able to trust her to get the pictures I wanted as well as keep the train on time was super helpful! She was even willing to jump on the ski lift to get a photo of us heading up the mountain (one of my favorites!). She is super prompt in returning emails and messages and I we got our photo back is so quickly (both engagement and wedding). I requested a second shooter for the wedding and Brett was a fabulous addition and Julie took care of all the logistics. I cannot recommend Julie enough! She is amazing!

Flexible!!

I had initially emailed a few photographers at the beginning of my wedding planning process and it became clear that photographers book up fast!! I frantically emailed every photographer in the southern to central Maine area to get their availability. The next challenge came with the shooting minimums, we really only wanted covereage of getting ready, ceremony, pictures after, and maybe an hour of the reception (5 hours in total). Julie was the only person willing to put a customized package together for me! This fit our need and budget. She has been extremely responsive in the planning process and I have no doubt the pictures will be beautiful, I feel like she totally got my vision after our first correspondence.

The BEST Wedding Photographer!

Jenna and I don't know where to begin in describing our experience with Julie. Readers, do not be fooled by the level of gushing that is about to happen in this review, as although overwhelmingly positive, it sincerely highlights the terrific work produced by this lovely photographer.

We first met Julie during our engagement photo shoot in the Old Port and Eastern Promenade in Portland. We live in Memphis, TN, and came to Maine to wedding plan and meet Julie. Despite being a busy weekend, Julie put us at ease immediately. The engagement session was terrific and she did a fantastic job of capturing our personalities and styles. Most impressively, she had the photos edited and sent to us the same day. The work was beautiful.

On the day of our wedding, we received the same level of care and professionalism from Julie. She did an impressive job of documenting all aspects of the big day - decor, guests arriving, the bridal party getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Having seen her work through our engagement photos, we were completely at ease and trusting of Julie during the day of our wedding.

Julie had all edited photos returned to us less than two weeks after our wedding date. It was unbelievable and we were so impressed with the results. Although the wedding happened two months ago, we keep reliving the day through Julie's work. We can't recommend her highly enough and will be forever grateful we chose her to be part of this huge moment in our lives. Thank you, Julie!

Julie is on top of everything. She is a natural artist and was able to nail the perfect shots in no time. She gave us the perfect guidance so that we didn’t have to run the show. She met with me for coffee beforehand to dream up the perfect day and then ran with it from there and I didn’t have to give it another thought. She is easy going yet able to easily run the show and corral the troops and keep things flowing smoothly—even at our family’s most chaotic moments! She told me jokes during moments of stress to keep me laughing through the big day. Her photos capture the spirit of the day and the personality of the couple and crowd! The Best!!!

Julie was the best photographer one could hope for. Smiling and laughing the whole time and wonderful to work with. Goes without saying but on time and quick to respond to emails. Julie was a dream

Julie is not only absolutely adorable but she was a dream photographer to work with. Truth by told, my now husband and I are not very serious people. We gave Julie complete creative control to capture the meaningful moments at our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Julie, and the same went for our wedding guests and our families. We heard from so many people how wonderful she was and our photos are incredible. I don't know how I am going to pick which ones to frame. Not only is she an amazing photographer and wonderful person, she is QUICK. People are shocked when I tell them how fast we got our photos back. Absolutely amazing!

We originally found Julie on this website and chose her based on her glowing reviews, awards, and photos! We are so glad we took that risk. Immediately Julie was on board with anything and everything we wanted. Our wedding did need for all vendors to be flexible because of last minute rain and Julie was able to jump right in and go with the flow.
Before even meeting Julie we checked out her website, and social media sites and fell in love with her style. We were really looking for photographs that would be works of art and Julie's work is just that. My husband and I are super camera shy but Julie was able to make us feel extremely comfortable as if it was your best friend just casually hanging out. When Julie first arrived she began right away. We threw a few curveballs at her, such as going down the street to take pictures on a bridge in the rain. She didn't question our sanity but simply jumped in a car and had a blast.
Julie was able to catch so many candid photos, which I wanted of our guests. She also got photos of everyone, without being annoying! Julie truly caught the essence of love and joy in our faces in every photo. She had many suggestions at our venue, even though she had never been there before. Her eye for art truly makes her a great photographer.
She also had our photos to us within a week! We could not have been happier or more impressed with her work. I would recommend her to anyone looking for amazing photos!
Our wedding was November 3, 2018 and we are still receiving compliments to this day, 6 months later, of how amazing our photos are.

Beautiful Photos!

We had the privilege of working with Julie for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. She was more than happy/accommodating to meet with us in person to formally chat about plans, photos, etc. She was SO flexible and prompt with her communication (in general) but especially when it came to planning our spontaneously planned engagement shoot in the snow. She braved the cold with us and our engagement photos on Mackworth Island came out beautifully! My husband and I tend to be a little awkward in photos (and in life), but Julie was able to direct us to engage in certain poses that made it seem natural/effortless. We were also SO SO pleased with our wedding photos. Julie didn't miss a beat and captured everything beautifully, from her detail shots of our invitations/wedding bands to the crazy dancing photos. If we had to do everything all over again, we'd definitely choose Julie!

Photos were one of my number one important things for my wedding and working with Julie was AMAZING! She made us feel so comfortable while staying behind the scenes, I forgot she was there for some of the night. Julie photographed our wedding and she was AMAZING! We got our photos back really quickly and they were perfect. We did our formal photos before the ceremony and it rained on and off up until about an hour before our ceremony, but Julie still made it work and was able to get beautiful pictures of us, our family, and wedding party. A great thing about having Julie as our photographer wasn't just how perfect the final product was but how easy she was to actually work with. My fiancé and I were really nervous about being awkward in our photos because we've never been professionally photographed before and we're both generally awkward in photos to begin with, but she made us feel completely comfortable the entire time. Even when she was photographing us getting ready with our bridesmaids and groomsmen, it never felt like we were being photographed and felt more like she was there hanging out with us as a friend. I highly recommend hiring Julie as your photographer for your wedding or really any special occasion.

Her communication was fast, she was reliable (arrived to the engagement shoot site and wedding site on time, delivered our digital albums to us when she said she would, etc), and she was super friendly and made you feel relaxed and at ease in her presence. Julie was amazing from the engagement shoot to the wedding day! We had so much fun during the engagement shoot that my husband and I knew we made the right choice. About 6 months before the wedding we decided we wanted to have a second photographer (to get pictures of the men getting ready) and Julie made this happen with no issues! She was amazing the whole day of the wedding, helping keep me on time for the first look without making me feel rushed. The amount of beautiful pictures that we got from the wedding day was completely unexpected! We are having a hard time narrowing it down to even 30 pictures for a wedding album. As an added bonus we also got some really great candid shots of everyone at the reception which we can't wait to give to people as Christmas presents! Not only that but the feedback time was always faster than expected, ever email was responded to within 24 hours and almost always within an hour or two and it took under a week to get access to our finalized photos online after the wedding. You CAN NOT go wrong with Julie as your photographer for this very important day!!

Julie was amazing!!! We chose her for her talent to capture the candid moments of everyone and she did just that with our wedding! From the first contact with Julie, she was well organized, detail oriented and on board to make sure we got what we were looking for. She came through in an unbelievable way!
Julie was great the day of our wedding too. She was never "in the way" or in the middle of everything yet anytime I looked up and wanted a specific photo, she was right there and willing to snap away. She would find certain lighting and pull us away for a few to take a some shots (which came out fabulous!!!) I recommend for any special moments you want captured. Another bonus, we got our photos back in less than 3 weeks!!!! :)

Julie was a fantastic photographer with a whimsical style, making everything look so angelic and beautiful. She was so easy to work with. I am not comfortable in front of a camera, but she made me feel so at ease, even though we had never met until the day of my wedding. She was easy to work with, really patient with all the family portraits I wanted, even bringing the list I had sent her, making sure we got all the shots I requested. And there were many with my unconventional family! Julie made us feel comfortable and gave us good direction. She was very responsive throughout the process, worked with our tight budget, and posted a sneak peak within a few days, which was so exciting to see. She sent us an edited online album in a week (!). Her artistic ability is astounding and these are literally the most beautiful photos I could ever have of the best day of my life.

Julie is personal, warm and we instantly felt confident that she knew what she was doing (which was great, because we were complete noobs). She is organized, consistent, flexible and incredibly professional with her communication and services.
We were thrilled with the photos. She sent us back so many amazing bride and groom photos we can’t decide which ones to frame. We also really appreciated how well she captured our guest, the ambiance of the venue and party and she did so without being intrusive or distracting. We didn’t get a videographer and I don’t regret it. Julie did such a great job of documenting the small details and curating great photos that tell our wedding story.

We were both shocked at how fast we got the photos back (less than a week) and were thrilled when she sent us a professional USB book/case that is adorable and personal. She has an eye for details and we will appreciate her work for a lifetime.

Julie was amazing from day one! Very responsive on emails and very flexible espically around weather conditions! We had our engagment and wedding photos sneak peaks within hours on Facebook and I had my wedding photos in lighting fast time after my wedding!! Julie was like having a friend taking your photos not bossy like some other photographers out there! If you want amazing photos for a reasonable price check our Julie she doesn't disappoint!!!!

Julie was a joy to work with for our wedding. She was incredible professional and unobtrusive throughout the day. Julie was prompt and very attentive to the schedule we had, but also flexible and able to adapt when we were running ahead of schedule or behind schedule during the day. During our portraits, Julie took a mix of posed photos where she gave us some instruction, and photos where she just stepped back and captured moments without any instruction. Julie was nearly invisible throughout the day. She got beautiful photos of the details of our wedding and of moments at the wedding. She was incredibly easy to work with, listened to we wanted and made us feel as at ease in the awkward posed photos as possible. We didn’t do an engagement shoot, but I would recommend it, I think it would have made us feel a little more comfortable in front of the camera on the wedding day. Julie got photos back to us before we even got back from the wedding, we have full digital access is 3 days, and a thumb drive with all the photos within 2 weeks. We highly recommend Julie, she was great, easy to work with, and her photos were absolutely beautiful.

I cannot say enough great things about Julie. My husband and I are so incredibly awkward and she really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. The shots are natural and romantic, beautifully composed and edited...she really is the best. Not only were the photos gorgeous and perfect, but she just radiated friendliness and warmth, our whole family loved her! Thank you again Julie, you made our wedding so much more special.

Julie was absolutely amazing! We could not of picked a better photographer for our wedding 10/8/16. She is very prompt with her responses, & we received our pictures so fast! She takes such beautiful, & candid pictures. Her attention to detail is amazing. On top of taking awesome pictures, she is very sweet & has a calming way about herself. We were beyond thrilled with Julie's work! She made us feel so comfortable and it really showed through in the photos. Now two months after the wedding I still love looking through them all the time and am really happy we went with Julie. The photos look natural and beautiful and really help capture the scenery around us. One of my favorite things about Julie was how prompt she was to get the photos to us after the wedding. I have a friend who didn't see her photos until four weeks after the wedding, but that's not how Julie works! We had 30 shots just three days after the wedding,followed by all 600 of our shots just a week later.
Please please work with Julie - she's amazing!!

Julie was absolutely AMAZING to work with!! She provided a calm presence for the bridal party to feel comfortable while taking pictures. She truly was such a joy to work with! Julie was the best wedding photographer for our Winter Harbor wedding. She is funny, easy-going, professional, and just INCREDIBLE at what she does. She was responsive and very thoughtful leading up the wedding. The photos arrived quickly, were beautifully wrapped, and were just perfect. I feel SO lucky to have had Julie as our wedding photographer. She is such a kind and genuine person who perfectly balances easiness and professionalism. She made the entire experience fun (which really matters to us)! The pictures are stunning. I can't tell you the number of people who have commented on them. We were so fortunate to have Julie as our wedding photographer. Planning a wedding from afar proved to be stressful but communication with Julie was painless from the very beginning. She was quick to respond to emails and incredibly receptive to our ideas and wishes. Her photos, which obviously speak for themselves, are stunning. Her ability to work the entire space without you even knowing she is there was so critical for creating a comfortable environment. The turn around time on our photos was super quick yet the quality of the photos and edits didn't take a hit as a result. We can't say enough good things about her work as a photographer and her presence as a guest at our wedding. You'd simply be silly not to hire Julie as your photographer!

Searching for a wedding photographer was a stressful activity for someone who has very particular taste but a limited budget, and I feel so grateful that I found Julie! She is so sweet and responsive. My husband and I were both feeling pretty awkward about having engagement photos taken, but Julie made us feel totally at ease! She showed up early the day of the wedding and somehow managed to be so fun to have around and also not at all intrusive. We received our photos within two weeks of the wedding, and I was so delighted to see that she had captured so many little moments that I had missed. Julie has a great eye for detail and a great talent for capturing heartfelt moments!

Julie was absolutely great! From the start she was very responsive to emails and questions. On the day she was very friendly, easy-going, and made us feel super comfortable working with her. Her photos turned out amazing and we loved her more candid, relaxed feel. She was very quick getting photos online so we could see a preview soon after the wedding. Our photos got to us on USB within two weeks of the wedding. The photos really captured the atmosphere of our wedding and we absolutely love them. We could not recommend Julie more!

I was looking through photographers on another wedding website and found myself disappointed that all the photographers I liked were way out of my budget. When I happened upon Julie I was intrigued, he perspective is very natural and nothing appears forced. I was so thrilled that not only could we afford Julie's photography, but we could really do everything thing we wanted with photography while staying in our budget. Julie was lovely doing a phone consult as we live several hours away, she let us customize a photography package and turned around our engagement photos in record time! I was so surprised to see Julie pop up while we were setting up the day before the ceremony, she had come out to scout sites for photos based on what trees and flowers were blooming. Julie was all around fantastic the day of the wedding, she was never pushy about getting shots or when we were going to do things- and she still managed to get almost every shot that we had requested! We recently received our photos and we are so thrilled with them! They really capture "us"- they are not the cookie cutter, but they still are the best version of us there is!

Julie is the best!! We used her for our wedding two weeks ago and could not be happier with our choice. Compared to other photographers we met with, her prices were very reasonable. She was easy to work with, took the time to research and explore places to do shots before the wedding, and the quality of her pictures just blew us away! After the wedding she got us our pictures very quickly and we just received our USB which came in an awesome case. Overall, Julie got all the photos we wanted and more. I even commented to my husband that it was like she was in more than one place at once- she somehow seemed to get amazing shots at all angles. Everyone commented on how great our photographer was and we wholeheartedly agree. Would HIGHLY recommend Julie!!!

I have one word for Julie - AMAZING! Picking a wedding photographer was no easy task. I looked through thousands of photographs trying to figure out what "my style" was. Then you narrow down your hunt and start the e-mail game. Julie was one of the first people to get back to me. This meant a lot to me. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful and there's nothing worse than a vendor who keeps you hanging. Next came the meetings. Friends told me that it was extremely important that you like the photographer you will be working with - they are going to be with you, in your face at times, all day! Well, from the moment we met Julie, there was no one else. Julie is a real person. She is fun, funny, creative, and intelligent. There is nothing we did not like about her. We had to have her!

My wedding planner recommended I do an engagement shoot to get comfortable with my photographer. I decided it should be a "winter wonderland" type of shoot. So Julie and I spent weeks and weeks e-mailing back and forth about the weather forecast, just to get the perfect snow day! We would schedule and then have to reschedule, it was quite comedic. But Julie was always there, ready to get on with adventure when ever the weather would allow.

As for the big day, I think the pictures say it all....they are stunning! Julie came out early to take pictures of the grounds, the flowers, the tables, etc. And for one person, I have no idea how she was able to capture so many angles of our ceremony! She was so inconspicuous during the reception, which was so important. We did not want to feel like we were being hounded by paparazzi. Julie was and in the BEST! We cannot wait till our next special event, so that Julie can be there to capture every moment!

Julie was FANTASTIC. I searched for months to find someone who would work within our budget, and Julie was wonderfully flexible and frankly far more talented than the photographers charging twice as much as she did.

People have been raving about our wedding photos for weeks now! Julie has an eye for candid, sweet moments. I just love looking at her photos, I feel like I get so much more from my wedding because of her. She really got all of the details perfectly. Also she seriously did a great job of taking images with my best profile! I seriously look great in every shot! No fat arm photos to be found (brides to be, you know what I'm talking about).

She was ridiculously flexible, and when our wedding timeline ran late due she stayed and made sure to get the father daughter/ mother son dances. I really can't say enough about her. Really, truly - if you are in the Maine area, consider Julie. You absolutely will not regret it.

We hired Julie as our photographer for our small, at-home wedding. For me, the photography was one of the most important parts of the day, but with it being such a brief ceremony, we didn't want to go overboard on a package. Julie was flexible and accommodating right from the start. She was professional and friendly throughout all of our email communications before the big day. She not only was careful to listen to the kind of shots that we wanted to be sure to catch, but also provided her own ideas as well. She was a trooper about standing out in the freezing cold with us (our wedding was on New Years Eve), and friendly and personable with our family members. After the wedding, we received a DVD with our photos within a quick couple weeks, along with a sampling of photos online just a few days after.

Most importantly, Julie got some truly fantastic shots! Family and friends have all commented on how great the pictures came out. And we've already booked Julie for some summer shots in June. Can't wait!!

We were so lucky to have found Julie for our wedding photography. From the start she was very easy to communicate with, and more than willing to customize her photography package to our needs. We were touched that she was genuinely interested in learning more about our story and personalities. I'm so impressed by her sense of adventure- She was willing to shoot in a rainy field with us for our first-look photos, but we were the ones who decided to play it safe and stay indoors:) Julie has such a sweet personality and we felt very comfortable being photographed by her. We were ecstatic that she sent a sneak-peak of our album the day after the wedding. We couldn't be happier and more grateful for the beautiful moments Julie artfully captured in our wedding photos!

We were married in June of 2010. I found Julie while doing an internet search for photographers near our area. As soon as I met her I knew I wanted her to shoot our wedding. She has such a great and fun personality, she really felt more like a guest than a hired photographer. The pictures were beautiful and we found we had many favorites:) I highly recommend Julie.

It was really important to us to have a photographer that we felt comfortable with. Our first meeting with Julie felt like we were seeing an old friend. At our wedding she felt like a friend or family member. She captured so many beautiful moments, so many moments that we didn't even notice her capturing. Completely unobtrusive. We are so pleased with our wedding photos and we love that we received the digital images, which made sharing our day so easy!

Portland elopement

Our elopement in Portland, Maine was nothing short of magical, and Julie captured it more beautifully than we ever could have imagined. Despite the bitter cold, she had us outside near the Portland Harbor Hotel and their garden, and the photos truly look like something out of a fairytale.

Julie jumped right into action before I even had the chance to properly introduce myself, and from that moment on, she made the entire experience feel effortless and special. She was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and professional from start to finish. Her communication was amazing, and the turnaround time for our photos was shockingly fast—in the best way possible!

She didn’t just take pictures; she captured the exact emotion, warmth, and magic of our night. We are beyond grateful for her talent and kindness and would recommend her a thousand times over.

Don't hesitate!

Julie was absolutely amazing in photographing our wedding this past August in Portland, Maine. Leading up to the wedding she was very helpful and patient in answering my questions and working together to make sure we had our (very long) shot list taken care of. Both my husband and I have divorced families which means we have double the family members, aka, a lot of "mandatory" photos. She has such a friendly and welcoming personality. Although we had only spoken on the phone (never met in person - I didn't want to do engagement photos) until my wedding day, I felt 1000% comfortable with her when we met! I received SO many compliments throughout the night of how "involved" she was... out on the dance floor capturing every moment, mingling with our guests to get the perfect shots! She was crazy quick to send back our edited photos and USB drive. THANK YOU for making our wedding day so easy and fun!!!
