We had the privilege of working with Joe for multiple wedding events as we wanted a fall mountain top elopement & micro party followed by a larger party in the spring. As we started planning the different events, it was most important to us to have a photographer experienced in mountain top celebrations. We decided to work with Joe and could not have chosen better.

Joe not only ran up a mountain with us but was involved in all the planning details including sharing a list of the best larch hikes, watching the weather and pinpointing exactly when golden hour would be hitting specific peaks. Even as the sun was setting and the light was fading, Joe found all the last bits of alpenglow to make us feel and look like we were the only ones standing on top of the world. He even carried heavy film cameras with him to capture the evening and we're so glad he did as they resulted in some of our favorite photos.

The photos Joe took exceeded all our expectations and we have been excited and proud to share them with all our friends and family.

Joe's skill doesn't stop on a mountain top. For our micro and macro party events, he brought an incredible sense of calm and serenity to all the wedding chaos around us. He was somehow everywhere, capturing incredible candid moments while still taking leadership to direct the posed shots we wanted.

Joe captured the differences and highlighted the uniqueness in each of our events and yet each gallery we received feels cohesive and timeless. It's impossible to choose favorites and it's going to be very difficult to determine which photos to hang on our walls.

What can I say about working with Joe? He is an absolute delight to work with. He's charming and charismatic and knows how to get the absolute best out of his subjects and photos. We hired Joe as the photographer for our wedding and man did he deliver. Approximately a month after our wedding, he sent us all 1,041 photos from the day in an adorable little box containing a USB with all the photos, as well as some hand-selected prints from him, plus a little bonus gift from him that I won't ruin for any future clients. My wife and I spent the evening going through every single one of them. Every single one was absolutely stunning and amazing in its own way. Going through them really made us relive the day, along with every emotion that came with it. Not to mention that he photographed our wedding on a very rainy day. He never complained, never even mentioned the weather, and his willingness to put up with whatever the day threw at him, I believe, speaks volumes to his character and his commitment to his craft. Joe is an astounding photographer and a wonderful person to work with. I cannot recommend him enough for whatever you may need him for.

A high priority of ours was to have unique yet timeless images from our wedding, and Joe exceeded all of our expectations by delivering a phenomenal set of images. Joe has a thoughtful and creative approach to photography that enables him to capture important moments effortlessly. He included creative and artistic prints in addition to the standard photos that we requested. Joe was a great resource for us throughout the entire wedding planning process, and we are so grateful to have found him to photograph our wedding + engagement! We would highly recommend if you are interested in a photographer with an artistic eye, good communication skills, and great instincts!

We couldn't have been happier with the services he provided and all the effort he went through to make sure our photos were authentic to us and truly represented our special day. Not only did Joe get up a 1AM for a sunrise engagement session with us in the North Cascades, he also helped us select a ceremony site in the mountains that made for perfect wedding day photos! He consistently goes above and beyond and made everyone feel extremely comfortable. He was one of our favorite vendors and we HIGHLY recommend Joe!!

We had multiple issues due to covid and Joe worked with us through all of the issues. While it was stressful to deal with the changes the only constant in our wedding was Joe and his flexibility to work with us. The photos are amazing and make the memories of the day look even better. We may have hired Joe but it felt like a family friend taking our pictures.

Joe was amazing from the start and was our first choice of wedding photographers. My husband and I hate our photo taken but Joe made it so much fun and we love every photo. When COVID hit we had to reschedule our wedding once then had to cancel it completely and start all over within a few months. The only thing we kept from our originally planned wedding was Joe. We worked out the best new date so he could make it. We had a small ceremony and reception and the photos turned out amazing. Even with everyone concerned about me walking down to a creek in my dress and up a hill for stunning sunset photos. We trusted him and the results dropped everybody's jaw! We don't even have to consider anyone else for any future events!

We are very picky about photos but Joe is one of the best photographers we know, easily. This was the second time we hired him as a photographer. The first time, he shot our 20-mile engagement adventure photoshoot. We thought no pictures could live up to the ones he took. And then he shot our wedding photos. We had an intimate wedding and could think of no one else but Joe to be there with us. So we asked him to travel to California in the midst of COVID. And we are so glad he was able to be there with us. He has such a phenomenal energy about him. He's so quick to see creative ways to produce images. We are already recommending him to everyone we know and are already looking for the next excuse to hire him. :)

Joe was fantastic to work with. He immediately made us feel relaxed and kept the whole session light and easygoing. He has such a good eye for finding the perfect photo spots and we were just blown away at how great everything turned out.

Joe was everything we could have asked for in a wedding photographer, and more! Starting with the engagement session, he literally and figuratively went the extra mile to make our photos exceptional. Joe was always easy to work with and professional, and jumped on the idea of having our engagement photo shoot at the end of a 10 mile hike. The pictures turned out absolutely breath taking and completely captured the personalities of my husband and I. This skill carried forward to our wedding day. I could put my full confidence in the fact that Joe was capturing the beauty of the day, which was one less thing for me to worry about. The photos he captured were just perfect from the emotions of the first look and ceremony, joy of the first dance and a special session toward the end where he was able to fullfill our request to have sunset photos on a mostly cloudy day. I could not be more greatful for Joe and his assistant and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, especially if they are interested in incorporating the beauty of the outdoors.

From our engagement photos, to pre-wedding festivities, to the wedding itself, we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience.
