About

I am Scooter Lowrimore (Scooter the Shooter), a Seattle based photographer.

My work covers a broad range of subjects from creative portraiture and weddings to architecture and product shots.
I have been featured in the MotoItalic Gallery in Berlin and Pixels at An Exhibition. Some of my big name clients have been Warner Brothers, Starbucks, The University of Washington, and both portrait and environmental work locally with Seattle University and Seattle Academy, as well as several Western Washington nonprofit organizations.
I am a graduate of The Institute of Photography.

I love to scuba dive, ride my Vespa, and make duct tape wallets and soap. I live in a turn-of-the-century home on Capitol Hill in Seattle with a little white furry dog named "Bart", my partner Tim of 17 years, and four diva chickens: Barbra Streisand, Liza Minelli, Deborah Harry, and Lady Gaga.

My husband and I were exceptionally pleased with Scooter's photography services for our wedding! He took the extra time to get to know us and our family and what we had envisioned for our special day. He was so personable with everyone and made everyone feel so comfortable. The photos were amazing! He captured the most incredible candid shots of my husband and I directly after the ceremony, and I have had so many compliments about how beautiful the pictures are. They quietly stood in the wings taking so many pictures of every moment of our wedding, not missing a thing. Our wedding was in the late afternoon into the evening, and all of the photos consistently were beautiful in bright sunlight, candlelight, low light, and even the arch of large sparklers! Thanks Scooter for all the amazing memories!

Scooter did an amazing job capturing the experience of our wedding day. His energy, hard work and dedication is very apparent through his photos. We never expected to value our wedding pictures as much as we do and we will cherish them forever. We had a 22 person bridal party and Scooter made everyone feel included and we got all of the photos we could only dream of. Scooter the Shooter is a must when capturing life’s greatest moments.

Scooter photographed my ceremony back in 2010 and was able to fully capture the spirit of the event. Scooter has a unique style. He is imaginative, fun, and spirited and found several locations around town to capture pictures and even managed talk the folks at Tesla into letting my partner and I photographed in our tuxes in a brand new $100,000 Tesla automobile and staged some fabulous shots in the showroom.

After thoroughly photographing the wedding party and ceremony Scooter also roamed around the event space and somehow managed to get candid shots of each and every guest that I will treasure forever.

Scooter definitely has my thanks and my recommendation!

My husband and I hired Scooter for our wedding and were thrilled with the outcome. We had an amazing engagement photo session with him. Scooter is a fun and creative photographer who has tons ideas and always open to new ones. We did not want engagement shots that felt “posed” or “forced”, Scooter did a great job of grasping who we are as a couple and letting pictures feel natural throughout our session.

For our wedding day, Scooter caught so many great, candid moments and had original ideas for our more traditional photos. Everyone from our friends to family, loved our wedding pictures and felt they truly displayed the laid-back, and fun environment of our wedding day. I am continually impressed with his ability to capture moments as they truly are through his camera lens. He is so wonderful to work with and highly recommend him for your special day

Scooter Lowrimore was nothing but AMAZING as a photographer, confidante, and support during our wedding! I cannot recommend him enough. He made the day run seamlessly, bringing along 2 assistants to make sure both the bridal party and the groomsmen party were photographed, as well as all the stuff happening in between – we are absolutely thrilled with the photos!! Scooter’s experience, humor, and genuine spirit just made everyone feel comfortable and happy. He’s an exemplary photographer. You can’t get any better out there!

Scooter is absolutely the best! I first met him at a family friend's wedding, and he took some impromptu photos of my (then) new fiance. The pictures he took that day, without any warning or preparation, were the best I had ever had of myself up until that point. I've worked with him and his fantastic team a number of other times after that (for family photos, other family events, wedding prep, etc.)--most notably for my own wedding. Everyone that has seen our pictures has commented on how stunning they are--several saying they look more like pictures from a magazine than from just a wedding. I really couldn't have been more pleased with our all of our photos!

If you have the chance to work with Scooter, please don't pass it up! Beyond being super talented, he is just a pleasure to be around. Thanks for everything, Scooter!
