Joseph Matthew filmed our wedding in April 2016. He charged $550 for filming the entire event using drones and videography, which was about 10 hours of work, including two edited videos. In the contract, he specified that the videos would be delivered after two weeks. It is now 8 months later and we still have not received the videos. During the past 8 months, we contacted him by phone, email and text 20 times. He did not return any of these messages. Our wedding coordinator did reach him by phone twice this summer. Both times, he said he was very busy and promised to send the videos to us, but then did not meet the deadlines that he promised. He told our wedding coordinator that he was so busy that he was no longer checking his email. We finally caught Joseph Matthew on the phone in July 2016. He said that he was so busy doing other jobs that paid him more money than ours and thus, he did not have time to edit our video. Thus, we negotiated that he would Dropbox us the raw footage of our wedding with a partial refund that night. To date, now 5 months later, he has not sent us the raw footage, we have not received our money, and he has not responded to any voicemails and emails we have sent him since then. We also had our lawyer contact him to inform him that he is in breach of contract with a full documentation of all of our communications and he has not responded our lawyer’s request to hand over the videos. It is clear that he does not appreciate how precious wedding videos are and does not value his clients. If you are thinking of hiring him, I will gladly to talk to you about our experience.
