John has such a great personality and you can tell immediately that he enjoys what he does. He wrote a very special ceremony for us and delivered with care, professionalism and a little humor. Our guests commented on the content of the ceremony and he incorporated all that we asked for. Thank you John for residing over this special moment in our lives.

John was excellent to work with. We met with him in person a couple times, he even came to our home to have a meeting. He was very professional and responsive to any questions we had both through email and in person. John is very organized and very easy to get along with. My husband and I were both very comfortable working with John.

My wife and I are so glad that we chose John. We got married at a very busy time with Christmas and New Year's but he was very flexible when meeting us and always helped to make it convenient for us. John was there every step of the way and made sure that we were always one step ahead. He is professional and friendly. Our guests had only nice things to say about him. If we were to go back and do it all again, we wouldn't choose anyone else.

We were extremely pleased to have John officiate our wedding in October 2016. Throughout the planning process, John was very responsive to our questions and very flexible with timing. He created a great first draft for our ceremony based on our conversations with him, but was also very open to the feedback we provided. On our wedding day, our ceremony was lovely. John perfectly executed everything we had planned. After the wedding, the city made an error in our wedding certificate (NOT John’s fault), John was very responsive re-signing the form to get it resolved. Highly recommend John.

Justice Mayo is very helpful with not only creating the ceremony itself but advising the couple on their vows. He tailors the ceremony to fit the couple. He is open to suggestions even at what maybe considered the last minute. He is prepared for any contingency with the ceremony and is prepared if something keeps him from the ceremony itself.

John was amazing! We loved working with him as he is such a great, laid back guy with a fantastic sense of humor. He helped me surprise my husband with vows that I had secretly put together for him. He was very attentive and helpful the whole entire way through. The ceremony that he had written for us reflected who we are as a couple and everyone mentioned how personable and warm the ceremony was. He couldn't have been any easier to work with and was such a flexible and adaptable JP. He was the 1st and only JP that we interviewed and boy did we luck out.

During our reception everyone was saying how they had never attended such a thoughtful and personable wedding ceremony before. We owe that all to John Mayo. His time and commitment, and his attention to details really made our wedding ceremony extremely special and exactly what we envisioned. My favorite part of our entire wedding day was the ceremony. It felt like a dream and was even better than I imagined it could have been. We wanted a wedding ceremony unique to our relationship and marriage and John helped us achieve that.

I am thrilled that we decided to utilize John’s services for our wedding. We found him via the Massachusetts justice of the peace website, noted he was based nearby in Brookline, and found his website - which was well organized and informative. He met with my husband and I in person to lay the groundwork for the ceremony we wanted months in advance (which was relatively brief and non-religious). John himself is a pleasure to work with - laid back, understanding, and highly responsive. Every email we sent was replied to within a very short period of time (sometimes just minutes!). He was flexible even in the days prior to the wedding when we wanted to add/remove components of the ceremony. He arrived early to both our rehearsal and wedding and did a fantastic job at each. I know I can speak for my husband when I say we wish all of our other vendors were as kind and responsive as John was. Thank you so much John - hope to run into you around town!
