10/10 experience. Leading up to the wedding Jenny was so easy to talk to and asked great questions that helped us think about what we really wanted. She responded to all of our emails quickly and thoughtfully and because of that I never felt anxious or worried.
She gave us an easy form to fill out about what we wanted, who was who, etc. and helped us understand and plan out our timeline. Our wedding was far enough away that we needed to cover her accommodations and travel but she made it easy and took care of everything else.
A few days before the wedding when I was at peak stress, I got the most thoughtful unprompted email from Jenny that truly made me feel so much better.
On the day of, Jenny was such a calm presence and made us feel so comfortable (which is saying a lot as neither of us had ever been photographed). She had scoped out the venue ahead of time and knew exactly where to go, what shots to take, and was able to improvise. You could tell she had thought of everything because of her experience and we felt super taken care of and we were on time the entire day.
After our First Look, Jenny was there but never in the way throughout the ceremony and reception. She stole us away for the golden hour photos that ended up being some of my favorites.
About the photos: we are in love. She managed to catch so many good moments of the day, and I can't pick my favorites of the two of us because there are so many, as well as some silly ones that I love.
If I ever get married again, I would call Jenny :). Not only because of how good she is but because of who she is.

I cannot recommend Jenny more highly. Our photos came back capturing all the wonderful moments and the spirit of the day. Equally important, Jenny is a pleasure to be around - very calming and caring - which you learn is essential on the day when you are spending 8 hours with your photographer! Jenny is the whole package.

Lord knows I only want to get married once and I was so so grateful that Jenny showed up and did an amazing job. She brought along Kelly who was equally great.

We initially chose Jenny for our wedding photos because stylistically she leans towards more true-to-life/documentary photos. We wanted to capture all of the true memories of our day. So many of the other photographers referred to us were over-exposed and had weird dreamy vibes that just felt like the 1999 Xanga era.

Jenny and Kelly captured so many great moments that were posed and candid. The photos were so beautiful and my wife and I are still having a hard time deciding which ones to make into a physical album.

They listened to our wants and needs in terms of the types of photos we wanted to capture. We wanted to make sure we had very specific photos with our families, certain backdrops, and especially the candid photography of everyone laughing, dancing, and celebrating. Jenny's organization was top-notch and she really helped the day move along smoothly. We were so busy with all of our other logistics that it was a true weight off of our shoulders to have her experience shine in the way that she held the space and wrangled our gigantic families.

We could not possibly thank Jenny enough for being a part of our special day and capturing all the beautiful moments we can cherish forever!

We had Jenny as our wedding photographer for our July wedding in Seattle and there aren't enough words to express how happy we are to have had her as our photographer. All of the photos that we got were amazing and we are constantly reliving our wedding day, bringing us to tears and laughing out loud all over again. Jenny is so so easy to work with and we absolutely loved her style and approach to capturing our big day. Our #1 desire was to have photos that captured all of the emotions of the day as well as the beauty of our venue and she absolutely nailed it. We can't choose which photos we love the most! Our Experience with Jenny Kang, professional photographer

Pete and I got engaged in November 2022 and we were planning our wedding by December for a July 2023 wedding. We received a list of professional photographers from the wedding venue coordinator we had selected. Pete and I reviewed the photographer portfolios from a list of 15 and we narrowed the list down. Pete was highly impressed with Jenny’s online portfolios and the inclusivity that she represents through her photos. Her aesthetic and the story telling through her photos is what we liked the most and we were hoping she could capture that on our wedding day. Jenny was also one of the first photographers to get back to us and we met via Zoom as Pete and I live in Alaska and Jenny is based in Oregon. We immediately felt at ease speaking to Jenny about what we were looking for and the type of pictures we hoped to have for our special day. Throughout the 6-7 months of wedding planning, we would have questions that would arise and Jenny was available to answer our questions and also put our minds at ease with what at times was some stressful wedding planning. On the day of our wedding, Jenny was very flexible with where we wanted to shoot our first look photos and had other locations at the venue in mind. It got a bit chaotic with family photos and “wrangling” family members and friends for family photos, but Jenny was patient throughout the process. After looking back through our wedding photos that Jenny provided us this fall, we are amazed at the variety of photos she was able to capture on our special day and we do feel it tells a story of our day capturing the high points of the ceremony and the memories of sharing our wedding day with the special people who were in attendance. We enjoyed working with Jenny throughout the planning process and then our special day. Pete and I would recommend Jenny to anyone for any occasion. Her professionalism and candor make her an amazing individual to work with.

Selecting the photographer for our wedding was the most important decision I made during my year of planning. I didn’t want a bunch of overly posed shots, or an album full of people standing in a line smiling at a camera. I must have looked at 50 local artists, but once we had our first meeting with Jenny Wohrle, I knew I was done searching.
I believe that her portfolio speaks for itself in regard to her technical ability. You can tell that she gets the shot right in camera, always finds the “good” light to shoot in, and has a beautiful sense of which images are best in black and white. However, THIS is not why she will be my family’s photographer from now on. Having a traditional wedding was a compromise that I was required to make, for the sake of love. I wanted to elope and my (now) wife had always wanted a white wedding. When I booked Jenny, I had no idea that she would end up being more than just the wedding photographer, she would play a huge role in helping me maintain my sanity on my wedding day. In moments of chaos, that can so quickly become overwhelming, Jenny paid attention and was right there asking “How are you doing? Do you want to take a picture over here?”. Jenny Wohrle did not have to be this attentive to take a fantastic picture, but she was and it was exactly what I needed. Now I could not imagine a familial milestone without her, somewhere, taking pictures of it.
Jenny has so much passion for weddings, the moments they create, and the memories that she is invited to capture. She wants her couples to know that the wedding day is truly about them. We are so grateful to have her capture our wedding. Jenny’s pictures and her work ethic are just remarkable. I would recommend her again and again. In fact, reader, I hope that she still has dates available for you..she’s that good!

We used Jenny for our wedding back in Oct 2015 and had a photo booth set up as well. We didn't need engagement photos because we were planning the wedding in 4 months time. The wedding was at Tacoma Country and Golf Club on American Lake in Lakewood right on the water. It was the most beautiful wedding and Jenny was able to capture the day perfectly. The thing I liked about the photos was the candidness of me (the bride) and groom during the reception and the facial expressions on our guests faces and the crazy dance party at the end. The portraits turned out amazing with the beautiful backdrop of the lake and trees. I timed the wedding to walk down the aisle right at sunset so there's a lot of variety of color and lighting to make things look unique. I was a little stiff during the first part of the bride and groom portraits until I had a shot to loosen up (I think that might have been Jenny's suggestion :) after that you could really see a change in the portraits. Regardless of being stiff and nervous (because we did the bride and groom and family pictures before the ceremony) Jenny got some really great intimate shots between the bride and groom. Overall, the pictures turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend her to my friends. I was in a wedding 8 years ago that happened to be her first wedding she ever shot and to come back 8 years later and see the improvement and technology advancements was really impressive and I just had to have her do my wedding!

We used Jenny for both our engagement shoot and our wedding: she's wonderful, just hire her! We wanted candid, in-the-moment photos, not staged and to somehow make us not look awkward and cheesy; she pulled this off with ease. We had this ambitious idea of recreating the notebook scene in Lake Washington and she made this idea a reality and it was so much fun. Our wedding pictures are absolutely beautiful and she put everyone at ease. Pretty sure both my mom wanted to adopt Jenny into the family by the end of the day. After the wedding, she sent us cute little photo magnet books and an adorable christmas ornament. She's amazing.

Where do I even begin to describe how amazing Jennifer Wohrle is? Almost a year later, my husband, family, friends & I still obsess over the beautiful and clear wedding pictures she took. She truly captured the special moments of the first look as well as all the merriment at our reception. I appreciate how Jennifer listened to me when I told her I wasn't one for a ton of photos of material things at our wedding, but rather capturing the shots of the people who attended and seeing their candid ,moments when receiving our photos. Truly, our photos turned out so beautiful, that I feel like even the word beautiful doesn't justify it.

On a personal level, Jennifer made my husband and I feel so completely at ease and natural when posing for pictures. My husband loathes getting his picture taken, so seeing him relax in person and noticing it in photos was truly wonderful. We even had guests comment on how sweet she was during the wedding and ceremony. Jennifer does a great job of laying out a time frame prior to the wedding of when certain pictures will take place and I loved it. She made me feel less anxious about who needs to be wear and with what for the photos.

In all honesty, I want Jennifer to capture every big moment of my life now! She is an amazing photographer and human, who wants nothing more than to capture the beauty of your special moment.

We used Jenny for an engagement shoot and our wedding and she is such an amazing person and photographer. We knew we wanted to work with her from the moment we met her! My partner Colleen and I wanted beautiful and professional photographs without all the cheesy poses you see so much of these days. Jenny is an expert at capturing the moment without forcing anything and has great attention to detail. She also put us completely at ease (we don't really like having our picture taken!!!) and gave us enough direction so that we didn't look ridiculous. :)

At our wedding Jenny knew how to get all the right pictures without getting in the way of anything. In a world where people are constantly snapping pictures on cell phones it's a relief to just enjoy the special moments of your life, knowing that they will be captured. Looking through our wedding photos I feel like I'm right back where I was that day. I would highly recommend Jenny to anyone!
