Getting formal pictures taken does not top the list of our favorite things to do. Jean-Marcus is great to work with and makes the process fun when you dreaded that it might be awkward. We had our engagement photos done at Kubota Gardens and have him booked for our Cedarbrook Lodge wedding in February 2020! Getting excited and looking forward to it!

Jean-Marcus really helped make our wedding a day we'll never forget. Immediately after meeting him in person we both knew he was our photographer, no matter the cost. It was even better when he explained the cost and his services, a steal for the quality of photos. Jean-Marcus was extremely flexible. He was able to change the day of our engagement photos last minute when we had a scheduling conflict. He was always available to communicate whenever we had a new idea or change for our wedding day. He was even able to help us choose our DJ/emcee. Him and Jay Hayes make a great team! Can't tell you how many friends and family said this as well. Jean-Marcus being willing to spend the entire day with us... was truly invaluable. Our wedding day got off to rocky start with the weather, but J-M had no problems communicating with us to find amazing shots for our pre-ceremony photos. In the end you couldn't tell the weather had changed our plans. Jean-Marcus had no trouble in directing us, including our 17 person wedding party, to find amazing shots on our day. A truly professional photographer. He has a real special talent in finding some incredible shots, and the photos...award winning in our eyes. While on our honeymoon he got teasers out in just a few days and they were spectacular. We were near tears, as we had no idea he would go above and beyond to share some so quick! Our honeymooning new friends were quite jealous. The photos showcased the true essence of our day. We were blessed to have found J-M, both his photos and his professionalism were first class.

Jean-Marcus was an incredible photographer from start to finish for our wedding. He's professional and manages to keep things light-hearted and it's easy to feel like he's party of the family/celebration! We had an outdoor wedding in the woods at a venue with a mix of bright sunny spaces, crazy shadows from large trees, and small and large indoor spaces with a wedding spanning daytime to nighttime. Jean-Marcus did a site visit the week before the wedding to decide on photo spots and get a sense of the lighting. He was respectful of our wishes to take a photo "break" during the evening instead of doing a long session between the ceremony and dinner. He made sure our posture was flattering (thank you!) and that we had fun to capture genuine moments. We got so many compliments from our guests when he offered to take couple photos in one of the "money shot" locations at the venue (so awesome!) and for his overall attitude and presence. Unlike a lot of wedding photographers I've seen... Jean-Marcus was not an in-your-face distraction flashing a bulb in your face in the middle of your sweet dance moves display. You would hardly know he was there at the time, but his photos captured every moment so I know he was there. We are beyond happy with the final result and our photos. He captured the spirit and vibrancy of our magical woodsy/treehouse wedding on a large scale and his detail photos are amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Jean-Marcus!

Great photographer to work with. He is truly an artist and took excellent photographs of our event. Given our budget, I really appreciated the way he individually priced himself, the books, framed photographs rather than a package deal including books or and framed photographs I did not want all together.

We hired Jean-Marcus for our wedding and it was wonderful. He is very experienced and brought so many creative ideas that made so many good memories. He is a professional and also has a great sense of humor. He guided our parents well which was such a relief. In the future we will be hiring him again for other events.

Jean-Marcus is the BEST photographer out there!

I first met Jean-Marcus in 2007, when he photographed my best friend's destination wedding in Kauai. We were in Kauai for a full week, and I remember just how friendly and personable Jean-Marcus was the entire trip - from the welcome BBQ to the ceremony to the post-wedding shenanigans. He got along with everyone so well that you would never think he was a hired vendor because he fit in so well; it was as though he'd been a part of the family for years.

He made such a great impression on me that it was seriously a no-brainer when it came to planning my own wedding many, many years later.

My husband and I planned our 2014 Winter Solstice wedding in Seattle in about 6 weeks. We were so thankful everything came together so quickly, and without a hitch. We were thankful Jean-Marcus was available to photograph our wedding on short notice, and the weekend before Christmas.

We had a small, intimate wedding at Ray's Boathouse in Seattle. Jean-Marcus did such an amazing job capturing our wedding. We absolutely loved our wedding photos.

He sent us a couple of teasers a few days after the wedding, so we could send some out as our holiday cards. He also provided us with a link/app to view our wedding photos and share them with our friends and family, which they loved! He even sent us a disc with all our wedding photos and the disc cover was made up of some of our most favorite photos from our special day.

Jean- Marcus not only photographed our wedding, but was able to join our journey at the start for our engagement photos AND he made himself available for our rehearsal as well! We built a great relationship from the beginning. Jean-Marcus also traveled to Southern California and was very accommodating when it came to travel plans. We loved our photos for all three occasions and he was professional and so knowledgeable. We also had a videographer and Jean-Marcus was in constant communication in order to make sure things ran smoothly. Turn around for our wedding photos were also very fast and exactly what we wanted.

Jean-Marcus is amazing! He was an absolute perfect fit from beginning to end. He was so organized and on top of helping me plan out the perfecty flow of the day. Making sure we were going to get all the pictures we wanted. Being a bride can at times be overwhelming trying to stay on top of everything. He did all the hard work for me, helping to plan out the schedule of day. He is creative and just really great personality to have around you the day of the wedding. I felt so comfortable and happy, and so did my husband, friends, and family. I would very highly recommend his service. I can't imagine if it had been anyone else!!

Jean Marcus shot our wedding on September 6th 2014. I flew him from Seattle to Cancun Mexico and not only did he charm both sides of my family he took all the photos we asked him to and then some! Jean Marcus was funny, charming, on time and very professional.
He did an amazing job on making me look gorgeous in every frame! He is super fun and really gets anyone to pose for him and feel super comfortable and relaxed. I didnt see him rushing or stressing at any point he really knew where to go and where to stand at all times it was fantastic. I highly reccomend JM if you want to have pictures to remember!!

Jean-Marcus is a superhero!

My husband and I got married in Seattle last year and had the privilege of Jean-Marcus as our photographer. I'm a details guy and was full of a butterfly farm as our big day approached quickly. As we met to plan, Jean-Marcus was wonderful at spending the right amount of time between standard shot sheets versus creative ideas. PRO TIP: give him as much free reign as possible at your wedding. Jean-Marcus has a killer eye for balance, contrast, texture, and composition.
