Evan from Island Sound was perfect for our bar mitzvah celebration. He took lots of pride and time in crafting the right evening for us. He was also open to allowing us to choose the music and the games for the evening, which meant a lot to us. You could tell he really cared about our event, and he ran it like a professional. Our guests of all ages had a wonderful time. I have gotten lots of feedback from my guests on how great he was, and how he really added to the experience of the celebration. Of all of the expenses for the weekend, I felt he was well worth the price. High marks!

Island Sound is an amazing value for the price. They are attentive and responsive. Our Dj, Dj Evan was personable and warm. He made sure that my day went well. He was willing to setep in when our Day of Coordinator had an unforseen emergency. Dj Evan has a great catalogue of songs. The Online forms allow you wo create the ultimate playlist for your wedding. Dj Evan made sure that each transition was seamless and organic. I would highly reccommend Island Sound!

Evan at Island Sound and Video was incredible at my wedding, he had great timing and was amazing at improvising. I had a meeting with Evan about 2 weeks before the wedding to solidify plans and music wants, I had been building a playlist with my now husband for over a year and he was down for all of it.
I had set up the timeline in their portal prior and it helped things go smoothly and made sure all of our wedding wants were clear!

During the wedding the song order was great, we gave Evan free reign over song order for all of the events. I heard some of it from afar during our photography session and I loved the order he chose. I had so much fun during dancing, I didn't want to stop, even though I was exhausted!!
Overall, we couldn't have gotten a better DJ for our wedding, both in skill and knowledge. Evan is just a great person overall as well!!!

He was efficient during the preparations, showed up early to ensure proper setup, and delivered a perfect DJ performance for our wedding. We had multiple phone conversations to go over the flow of the party song, selection and room layout. Evan brought his A game to all pre party phone conversations and we were more than impressed by his professionalism and dedication to our party.

Evan was seriously so great! He played music that went with the overall theme my daughter wanted and he was great at engaging the crowd. He made things so much fun and all the kids loved him. Will absolutely be using Evan in the future.

Communication was fast and Evan followed up with us periodically as the date got closer to make sure everything was taken care of. It was a phenomenal experience which made the planning of my daughter's Bat-Mitzvah go off without a hitch! Evan's song selection kept the kids dancing and entertained and he has a real way to get them engaged and having a great time! All while keeping the playlist entertaining for the adults as well. And unlike another DJ we had for my wedding years ago, Evan knew exactly the right balance of the proper amount of "The Hora" that should be played and more importantly when it should END!...lol

I absolutely recommend and WILL be using Evan's services again in a few years when my youngest steps up to the Torah!

Evan was the DJ for my wedding, and let me start by saying his energy was infectious. He did an outstanding job all night. He kept our dance floor moving and made the night fun for all ages. We wanted to have games throughout the night and did gift give aways from presents under a tree for our Christmas wedding, and Evan made everything flow perfectly so there was never a dull moment. He was very professional and detail oriented. We had multiple compliments on our amazing DJ! Everyone I interacted with at Island Sound was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to use them, specifically Evan, for events in the future.
