It was an AMAZING setting for the wedding, which was a whole weekend retreat affair, and the naturalistic-and-luxurious setting was beautiful. they are not too flexible on the price, but you can work with them in things like shifting the risk of what happens if you have to cancel and all sorts of non-monetary extras that allow you to use the site fully. You have to stay on the wedding planners to make sure they have their stuff together but it is great that there are ppl on site to help.

We love Freedman and wouldn't have gotten married anywhere else. The wedding was ultimately beautiful. However, our experience working with their wedding planner was a nightmare. We were planning a small and low-key wedding planned with a flexible budget, but it was like pulling teeth to get any reasonable question answered (e.g., "how much will the reception meal cost, per plate?" "what are some options for the menu?" "what siddurim are available?" "if we buy some snacks to serve, is this hechsher okay?") despite asking repeatedly, for months, using different modes (email, phone, we tried everything). For example, we started asking about menu options over a year before our wedding date, but it wasn't until two weeks before the wedding that we had any idea of what would be served or how much it would cost. Despite repeated requests to work on this, the only input we were been asked to give was to note some foods we liked into an empty Google Doc... We gave the wedding coordinator polite and open feedback several times about needing to step up, and she continued to be unresponsive (at best) and insulting (at worst). We ended up hiring an additional wedding coordinator, at some expense, to ensure that things would be coordinated competently.
