This enticing property is situated along the stunning Connecticut shoreline and boasts fantastic views of salt marshes, the marina, and Long Island Sound. The venue’s beautifully manicured lawns, outdoor terrace, and elegant ballroom provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.

Facilities and Capacity

Guilford Yacht Club offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces for your wedding celebration. The ballroom can accommodate up to 180 guests and offers vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and expansive windows with breathtaking views. The Great Lawn and flagstone terrace are perfect for outdoor, tented weddings and accommodate up to 350 guests.

Services Offered

Guilford Yacht Club offers all the services you need for your wedding day. Careful thought and attention to detail allow the event planning team at this venue to help you bring the wedding of your dreams to life. Your site fee will depend on the season and day of the week of your wedding. This fee covers five hours for your event, two hours for setup, and one for breakdown. An on-site event manager will attend to your needs, and you will have the use of tables and chairs. Other services include:

Highly Recommend GYC

The Guilford Yacht Club is a stunning venue and was the perfect spot for our wedding day! The grounds are extremely well cared for and is in a gorgeous location on the water. The grass area and patio were perfect for our cocktail hour. The inside is spacious and bright with gorgeous views. The staff is helpful and responsive and will go above and beyond to make your event perfect. We love looking at pictures of our wedding and are so glad we chose GYC!

Our Dreams Came True!

The Guilford Yacht Club was the perfect wedding venue for my wife & I in April. We both love the water, boats & the sea breeze. From the moment we had our first tour, we knew this was our venue. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The lawn was always cut and there are adirondack chairs that you can enjoy with a beautiful view. The inside was perfect too! A cozy vibe in the bar area with comfy couches & a beautiful fireplace. The reception was magical where we had lights strung above the dance floor & all our vibes came together at this venue. It was amazing! We can't say enough about Alison who was wonderful with her quick communication & kindness throughout this process. Their General Manager, Thais, was there on our wedding day & she was fantastic- let us set up everything exactly how we wanted. We would recommend this venue to anyone! It was a wedding we'll never forget & one people can't stop talking about! Thank you GYC!

Perfect Venue, Lovely Staff, Polished Yacht Club

We had our Wedding at GYC this Fall and couldn't be happier! Such a perfect venue overlooking the Long Island Sound. We got lucky with no rain during our Ceremony thank God! The venue has a pretty neat set-up and an upstairs area too overlooking the Reception/Dance floor. Alison did a great job ensuring everything was just right on our Wedding Day. No complaints, highly recommend this venue especially if you have a love for the ocean and sailing.

A breathtaking view

Beautiful location with great view! Peaceful, calm, serene. All the things you want for a wedding venue!! I fall in love the moment I saw the yacht club. The staff is incredible too, attentive and very responsive. we had a fabulous New England Wedding!

The best night of my life

My wedding at the GYC was everything I could’ve dreamt of and more! From the attention to detail, to the incredible staff you couldn’t choose a better venue.

The perfect venue and caterer!

We loved everything about our wedding at the Guilford Yacht Club and working with Gourmet Galley. Marissa McCue was our wedding coordinator and day-of-event planner. She was responsive, did not hesitate to accommodate our special requests and all of the questions back and forth. Her staff on the day of the event were also amazing- Kyle was able to take over once Marissa left for the night and continued to make sure all of our needs were met and that the night continued smoothly. We ended up with 145 guests, which was the perfect fit for the room and our guests continue to say how amazing our wedding was- from the setting, to the food to our speciality cocktails- I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Amazing from the first chat with Marissa. She is an amazing person and cares deeply about making you happy and getting your wedding to be exactly what you want. The food was incredible (get the lobster roll apps) and everyone is still raving about it. The wait staff was also so kind and accommodating. On my wedding day some of the staff was assigned just to my husband and I and they made sure we didnt miss any of the food being passed at cocktail hour. They came to us during our pictures with trays of apps and made sure our drinks were full. Can't say enough great things, our wedding day was amazing thank you to Gourmet Galley and Marissa:)

We couldn't have been happier with this venue and the catering company, Gourmet Galley! We had our wedding here on 8/5/17. We held the ceremony out over the lawn. It is 3 months later and our guests are still raving about the gorgeous views. Marissa McCue was our coordinator and event planner on the day. I cannot say enough about Marissa. She made sure that every small detail was planned perfectly. The day could not have been smoother due to her planning and organization. She was wonderful to work with through out the entire process. She made sure to take the time to meet as many times as I needed before the big day. We had 200 guests and used the tented patio as an extension of the indoor venue to accommodate all of our guests. I was concerned that this may make the guests outside feel disconnected from the venue, but this was 100% not the case! The large windows made the tented patio feel part of the actual indoor room. It was a beautiful night and many guests ended up walking outside later in the evening. Everyone says "something will go wrong on your day and you just have to let it go", for us we can honestly say that not one thing went wrong! I attribute this to the venue, the catering company, Marissa specifically and all of our wonderful vendors. If you choose to go with the GYC and Gourmet Galley you will not be disappointed!
