Definitely a class act. Professional, talented and just a cool human being. So glad I chose her for our wedding. I met with several but once I met Misti I knew I was done searching. I have maintained a relationship with her years after our wedding as we delayed ordering our album and she’s been fantastic throughout. Don’t hesitate to work with her as she will truly capture your precious moments and can be relied on to get some memorable shots you will cherish.

Misti was AMAZING! Super fun to work with and really lets you relax and enjoy your time and day. She and her assistant captured so many wonderful images but no one ever felt like they were in the way or constantly pushing for photographs. It was a pleasure to have her photograph my wedding. Insanely pleased with all my images!

Misti is a wonderful photographer. We feel so very lucky to have had her skilled hand orchestrating the photography on our wedding day. She was very quick to respond by email and was flexible with negotiating prices. She also knew our venue very well and offered tips and guidance in the months before and during our wedding. Misti took the time to get to know my husband and me. The resulting photos were very personal, reflecting our story. Because we were so comfortable, our shoot was fun and captured the day beautifully.

As can only be expected from her name, Misti is incredible. We started with a list of very strong wedding photo vendors recommended by our coordinator (who was incredible!) and there was not a photographer in there that we didn't like. However, we were drawn to Misti because her photo work appeared to just be a notch above all the rest. The pictures were a little clearer, a little brighter, and the moment was a little better.

After we retained Misti, we had a fun time exchanging emails with her, explaining what we need, going through details, and her working with our coordinator to go through the nitty-gritty. We were able to clearly articulate what we wanted in a photographer, and she had no problem accommodating.

When we hit day of, I can truly say Misti is exactly what we wanted. With her light and playful mood, she was fun to talk to and kept everyone happy. Most importantly, she had a wonderful way of blending in. We really didn't want a wedding photographer that was overly demanding or took us out of the moment. Misti was perfect in that she made it clear when she needed us, why, and kept it short. All other times, she was taking wonderful candid shots that turned out just beautifully.

While working with Misti was a delight, the real deal and reason we hired her was for the photos, and they are exceptional! We received nearly seven hundred of the most beautiful, wonderful photos we could imagine. Moments that I thought weren't captured are there, the moments I was hoping would come out, all came out beautifully.

Choosing a wedding photographer is a surprisingly stressful, difficult decision. You have to judge around character, quality of work, expenses, and tons of other metrics. In the end, I am so very glad that we went with Misti. She excelled in every metric and provided us with a product that made us so very happy. If you can afford her, hire her: You will never regret it.

Misti is the most easy-going photographer I have ever known. She has a unique ability to capture the most amazing candid photos that really illustrate the "joy" and emotion of any event. Anyone can take a great staged photo (as everyone shows in their portfolios), but not everyone has her gift.

After seeing rave reviews online, I hired Misti a few years ago for my father's birthday party, and I was extremely impressed with her work. I don't even know how she took all of those great photos because she is like a phantom... you don't even notice she is there.

When my husband and I decided to get married in La Jolla, I researched photographers local to that area for HOURS. I was frustrated because they were all very expensive, and all I saw in their online galleries were the same myriad of staged photographs... a wedding couple kissing on the beach... We wanted someone who could capture the spirit of the evening and someone we could trust would do a great job.

My husband suggested that I ask Misti if she would be willing to travel for our wedding (I never even considered that as an option). We happened to catch her with that day free (in the nick of time!) and she was more than willing to travel for the event. From that point forward it was truly a breeze. I can't begin to describe how amazing our wedding photos are. We got married in May and we are still having a ridiculously difficult time narrowing down photos for our album.

I know this review is getting a bit long, but I have to add one more thing (even though I could go on for days) that shows how amazing Misti is. We decided to get a second photographer for the wedding (who Misti found that was local). The day of the wedding, that photographer no-showed! Can you believe that? Misti scrambled and worked with the venue to find a replacement DAY-OF, and I didn't even know about it until long after everything had been resolved. How amazing is that?!

Obviously, I am a huge fan of Misti's. I'm not type of person that writes reveiws... ever. She really is just that awesome and it would be wrong to not have her as your wedding photographer. If she's not available your wedding date, change your wedding date. Ok, maybe that's a little much, but your get my point.

Misti Layne is a fantastic photographer with a great eye for detail. She listened to our requests and followed through with impeccable professionalism. Misti was reliable, fun to work with, and really captured the feel of the wedding through her photos. She also provided many wonderful photos to choose from (almost 600), varying between posed and artistic work. Overall, we were extremely happy with Misti Layne and highly recommend her for your wedding.

Misti is an absolutely fabulous photographer. She was great to work with--fun, kind, flexible, professional, and responsive. And, most importantly, our wedding photos are absolutely stunning. She worked with us within our budget and her prices are incredibly reasonable. If I had to do it over again (and I hope I never do!) I'd hire her again in a heartbeat!

Misti is great. She is a very good photographer. Very professional, yet funloving at the same time. She makes it easy to have fun. We loved having her as part of our wedding. She is easy going and really allowed us to be ourselves instead of taking stuffy, ordinary wedding photos. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Or a photographer in general for that matter. She does great work and has a wonderful eye. We loved it that Misti loves what she is doing.

We were so happy to have Misti photograph our wedding! We looked extensively at work from other photographers and found Misti's work the most professional, creative, and heartfelt. And, better yet, Misti has a fantastic personality and is fun and easy to work with. She helped us design a pre-wedding photo session which turned out some amazing shots. Then she worked closely with us to design what we wanted for our wedding day. We were extremely pleased with the results and with the album she helped us design after it was all over. We felt that the price for her services was extremely reasonable considering the high quality and the caring and responsiveness Misti provided were more than worth it! We've been recommending Misti to all our friends who are getting married or want other family pictures. She's fantastic and we can only give her a huge thumbs up!
