About
Located in Rochester, New York, Hose 22/Stutson House is a banquet hall wedding venue that was first established in 1916. Considered the crown jewel of Charlotte, Hose Company No. 22 operated here until 1962. After vacating the facility, the building stood vacant for 47 years. The year 2007 saw a revival of the premises, brought about by Craig Ristuccia. Turning the establishment into a lovingly revitalized restaurant, complete with homages to its first life, Hose 22/Stutson House was born.
Facilities and Capacity
The Red Room features original woodwork and glass, as well as a double-sided gas fireplace and arched tin ceilings. Perfect for cozy gatherings, this space is suited to 40 adults in a seated arrangement. Inside, couples and their guests can relax on the sectional couch or linger by either square or banquet-style tables. Bar selections can be accommodated, or hosts can opt to indulge in a self-serve arrangement. Located across from the Green Room, these two spaces can be combined for larger functions. The Green Room is perfect for DJs, dancing, and drinks. It can house up to 80 seated guests, or greater numbers when paired with the Red Room. Equipped with audiovisual technology, this space is great for couples who wish to include presentations in their event. Another intimate option is the Captain's Room, which is ideal for 14 guests. Here, couples and their guests can relax in the elegant environment, replete with tasteful and sophisticated accents that set the right tone. At the table, both the regular dinner menu or custom options are available. Elsewhere, the Stutson House presents a different wedding destination within the old Rochester Hollow Grinder Building. Adorned with heritage elements throughout, this space is a balanced mix of rustic and elegant. It has plenty of room for entertainment, and it includes a large bar, games, and an overall cozy ambiance.
