The Sterling is a brand new wedding venue located in the grounds of Arrowhead Golf Club in beautiful Akron, New York. The Sterling offers seven unique areas to accommodate every aspect of your memorable celebration and sets the standard for top-notch events in Western New York. It features indoor and outdoor spaces with scenic views and is available for ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, engagement parties, elopements and rehearsal dinners.
Facilities and Capacity
With over 10,000 square feet of event space, The Sterling can comfortably accommodate 250-400 seated guests. They offer seven event areas including:
- Main dining area - A 90-feet by 36-feet space with glamorous warehouse chic design, featuring a tall glass wall, cathedral ceilings, modern crystal chandeliers, and state-of-the-art kitchen.
- Interior mezzanine area for surplus seating - Area features a catwalk across the glass wall and leading to the outside balcony.
- Side covered patio - 5 French doors provide seamless overflow space for the reception and dance floor which is heated for 3 season use.
- Back and side uncovered balcony - The balconies feature stunning views of the golf course and island. The side balcony is the ideal setting for a rehearsal dinner with an intimate setting and sunset views.
- Bridal Suite - A getting-ready room with glamorous makeup stations for the bridal party.
- Island ceremony and photography area - The area includes a steel arch, wood bridge, walkway, and aisle and provides an intimate and unique place to tie the knot.

The Sterling can provide a team of professional coordinators to help plan your wedding, event, or bridal shower. Additional services offered include:

Cuisine
The Sterling and their executive chef provide a large wedding menu from which to choose your meal options. Options include hand-passed appetizers from their hors d’oeuvres menu, crudites for cocktail hour, and a choice of either a relaxed buffet or a sit-down plated option for dinner. There is a choice of entrees available for the sit down dinner which is served with salad, steamed vegetables, freshly baked bread, your choice of sides, and tea and coffee. The Sterling offers various beverage packages including beer, wine, champagne, liquors, and soft drinks. There is also an evening snack menu available.

August Wedding at The Sterling
We absolutely loved our wedding at the Sterling. Our guests were raving about the food (especially the BBQ meatballs and the beer braised brisket!). I highly recommend the white glove package. Just having someone to coordinate with my vendors the week of the wedding and taking that off my plate made wedding week a BREEZE. The day of was stress free as Shannon and my vendors took care of everything behind the scenes. Shannon Mowry is the most amazing human I have ever met. She was so attentive the day of the wedding - to not just us, but to our whole wedding party. She went above and beyond and even drove a golf cart to help my mom get to the locations for pictures. Following the ceremony, she was there with a celebratory drink in hand for us. I cannot say enough amazing things about Shannon - she alone was worth every penny we spent.

Flawless wedding day at an amazing venue
As my first wedding anniversary is around the corner, I am feeling nostalgic and know I am long overdue for a review of our experience at the Sterling. This was the first venue we toured, and from the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew it was the one... (literally.. we had other venue tours booked that day that we cancelled). The venue is breathtaking and truly one of a kind. We knew we wanted an indoor/outdoor area so our guests didn't feel crammed all in one place, and the sterling gave us just that. From the island, to the multiple patios, the balcony and options for both indoor and outdoor seating, there was plenty of space for our guests to spread out and move around.
The team at the Sterling made the planning process as simple as possible. We had our planning meeting with Paige who was beyond phenomenal to work with and truly put my mind at ease, answering every question we had and reassuring us that the day would go smoothly. I am a very type A bride and had a very specific vision that the team brought to life exactly as I'd have hoped. We paid for the white glove package, which I highly recommend. This gave us a coordinator and we also didn't have to worry about decor breakdown. Our original coordinator left the company and we very last minute were placed with Kayla. I cannot say enough great things about her. For being added to our wedding on such short notice she caught up to speed and made sure the day went exactly as I had wanted it to (even stepped into the role of makeup artist when my makeup got ruined during my first look.)
Our guests could not stop raving about the atmosphere of this venue, as well as the delicious food. Out of every wedding I have ever been to- the sterling's food was by FAR the best. They have an amazing drink selection, and we added the high noon bar to our drink package, which was a huge hit with all of our guests.
Our whole day was planned out perfectly and exactly as I envisioned it. This venue is absolutely worth every penny, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Best Wedding Venue By Far!
My husband and I got married at the Sterling earlier this month and we could not be happier with the whole experience! The venue is simply gorgeous — it has a modern, stately vibe inside the building with its neutral palette and high ceilings, but the setting of the island out back with its surrounding pond and willow trees provides a whimsical, natural feel as well. It combined our two visions in that way. The whole wedding team was wonderful and supportive throughout every step of the planning process! Taylor the coordinator was an angel — so kind and so on top of everything throughout planning and on our wedding day!
The food and drink were incredible as well. They had so many options for apps, meals, late night snacks, special bars, etc. They even special ordered in a liquor we wanted for one of our specialty cocktails!
The Sterling captivated us the moment we stepped in to tour it, and I am SO glad we went with with our guts and chose this venue. We had the most perfect wedding day and we are so grateful to everyone at The Sterling for their support!

Best venue ever
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our venue and the incredible experience we had! From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding. Every little detail was thoughtfully planned, making our day nothing short of magical. The venue itself is breathtaking, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration.
A huge thank you to Tanya Sue, who made everything go so smoothly and effortlessly. She was absolutely amazing throughout the entire planning process, and she handled all of our crazy ideas with grace and enthusiasm. Tanya Sue was always there when we needed her, whether it was answering a question or helping us organize all the details. One thing I absolutely loved was how she thought to set up the seating chart differently, making it so unique and beautiful—it was one of those little touches that truly made our wedding day special.

Dream Wedding Venue
The Sterling was the first venue that caught my eye when planning our wedding, and I am so happy we decided to have our wedding here! The entire team here was so friendly, organized, and responsive the entire time. We worked closely with Maggie, Tanya, Paige, Taylor, and others, and every single one was so professional and wonderful to work with. As a Type-A bride, I had every detail planned. The team at The Sterling made sure to take every piece of information I gave them and execute the day perfectly. From trusting them with certain decoration choices, to making day-of changes due to weather, to keeping us informed along the way, I felt so at ease throughout the entire process. Every part of this venue is beautiful, and you can tell how much care everyone puts into their work. The bartenders kept up with our guests all night long, and the food was honestly the BEST wedding food I've ever had. It was incredible to have the venue, food, and drinks all organized by the same team. The Sterling is absolutely worth every penny.
