Anthony was amazing to work with!! Not only was he incredibly professional, but he made the entire wedding weekend fun and so easy! Having a same sex wedding with 2 brides, we know things could be difficult as far as planning goes, but he was able to make sure he caught every moment of our wedding weekend. He perfectly captured the all the love and emotion of each event and kept us calm the entire time! We are so so happy with the final results and would happily recommend him!

Anthony and team are FUN. They were wonderful to work with, for a bride a groom, a guest and a vendor. They took great photos, and every time we look at them we feel like were are there. They come to life! That’s our favorite part & the candid photos were the best. I’d suggest them (and have) for any of my family or friends.

Hitch & Sparrow were so amazing to work with! It is a long day, a big day, "THE day" and there is so much pressure coming from all different directions. It was so nice to work with a team that was calm/cool/collected, and just generally fun and nice to be around. On top of them creating this totally chill vibe, we got GORGEOUS pictures (like unreal) and I think it is because everyone was super relaxed. Nothing felt forced, or too set up, just really natural transitions between candid capture and portrait opportunities. I am so thankful that they were there to capture the day, because the pictures really do feel like the day I remember, and that is so special, literally a gift we will forever cherish.

Anthony and Brad were so much fun to work with on my wedding day! They adapted to our goofiness and made sure we got every photo I had dreamed of and more. I have so many good things to say about Anthony and Brad I don’t even know where to start. I had originally found a photo & video package “deal” with another company, but my husband ended up veto-ing my choice because he used to be a photographer and shot several weddings in the past, so he has high expectations for photography. Photos are one of the few things from your wedding day that will last forever, and he convinced me that it’s not something we want to “go cheap” on. I am so grateful that he found Hitch & Sparrow (they only do photo so we hired someone else for video and they all worked together really well to capture our day!). From the moment Anthony and Brad walked in to our AirBnb where we were getting ready, I immediately felt at ease. I had a blast just talking to them, and I felt like I was laughing all day. They also helped me pull off a first look prank on my husband, which was hilarious! Usually Chicago in June you would expect nice sunny weather, however by the time we were getting ready to head over to our venue, we could tell that the sky was about to open up and pour rain at any moment. Anthony got beautiful shots of us at The Bean for pre-shots before the ceremony, and even more beautiful shots of us getting caught in the downpour as we were trying to call ubers to get to the Odyssey for our ceremony. The weather cleared up long enough for us to think that we could still have our ceremony on the top deck, and it lasted long enough for all our guests to be seated and the entire wedding party to walk down. However, the moment my song came on, the rain started again. I was so anxious about the weather every day for ten days leading up to the wedding and I was praying it wouldn’t rain. And then it did and we got married in a downpour, not even a light drizzle, and it was just incredible. The shots that Anthony got literally brought me to tears. There was just so much joy and laughter and smiles all around despite everyone getting rained on and soaked. Of course the rain stopped shortly after our ceremony ended and they got some absolutely gorgeous shots in clear weather, as well as some incredible fireworks shots later in the evening. Anthony sent us 25 “teaser” photos the day after our wedding, and they are stunning. My husband and I can’t wait to see the rest. They were worth every penny and honestly one of the best things we spent money on for our wedding (which is saying a lot because every vendor we worked with was fantastic)! Not to mention everyone in our wedding party and countless guest told us they loved our photographers. They most definitely added to the joy of the day and we would choose them again in a heartbeat! I’ve been telling everyone about Hitch & Sparrow!

I like to think of myself as a pretty low maintenance bride, but I knew the photography was going to be especially important, so I made a lot more effort to find just the right match for us. It's easy to forget, but your photographer is the vendor you spend the most time with on your wedding day so you better like them!

Hitch & Sparrow was a terrific match for us from the start. Anthony met with us to talk about their approach and answer all our questions. I initially contacted them because their portfolio is gorgeous and just our style (not cliche and cookie-cutter like a lot of wedding photographers). What sealed the deal was how easy-going and likeable Anthony is. We had a bit of a non-traditional wedding - no wedding party, no church, ceremony and reception in one room of a restaurant, no cake cutting, no first dance, only 50 people - and we wanted to find someone who would be cool with our way of approaching the wedding. We were also a little nervous because my husband and I are both pretty shy in front of a camera, but Anthony made a real effort to make the whole experience comfortable, not at all stressful, and tailored to the two of us. It was like having a friend take our pictures - a really talented friend.

Our whole wedding day was even more wonderful because of Hitch & Sparrow. In addition to the amazing first look and pre-ceremony photos, we got some terrific family portraits and candids from the ceremony and reception. We also got the photo booth for the reception, and everyone had a blast posing for pictures - it was the perfect addition to the night.

We got our photos a lot faster than I expected, especially because I knew they were at the peak of their busy season and the results were fantastic. I'm not very photogenic, but Anthony made us both look like stars. Some of the images are so stunning they actually look like stock photos! I could not be happier that we chose Hitch & Sparrow!

Anthony and Laura are the absolute best to work with!! They are so organized and they capture every photo that you want and think of others that didn't even cross your mind. During the whole process they went through a timeline with me and really put me at ease when I didn't think we had enough time. They mapped out the locations we had sent them for pictures and made sure they knew where they were going ahead of time.

They were so calm and had such good energy the day of the wedding. They put everyone else at ease while taking photos. They were never once in the way while getting shots of hair and make up and were very tasteful when getting shots of me putting on my wedding dress. I couldn't have asked for a better team to capture our day!!

We used Anthony Barlich Photography for our engagement photo session and were beyond pleased with the finished results! He is such an artist so our photos were truly works of art. They were exactly what we were looking for..not your standard, run of the mill awkward seated poses that look like they were done at Sears. His eye for scenery, lighting, and colors and lines made our photos ones that we are proud to hang in our home. He was good at directing us in where to go, what backgrounds would look great, and most importantly he made us feel comfortable so our true personalities came out in the finished images. We look forward to working with him again in the future!
