The expansive and versatile property offers three uniquely designed private event spaces ideal for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, post-wedding brunches and more! Featuring industrial-chic interiors, Asheville’s original craft brewery is the ideal option for couples seeking a venue with an alternative edge.
Highland Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery founded in 1994 by Oscar Wong. They were one of the first breweries to open legally after prohibition and have seen impressive growth. Currently led by Oscar’s daughter, Leah Wong Ashburn, the Wong family continues to proudly lead the way in craft and southern beer innovation and expertise. The Event Center & Rooftop features soaring high ceilings and large windows that flood the space with natural light. Accommodating up to 200 guests, it is perfect for lavish receptions. Above the Event Center, the spacious 3,000-square-foot Rooftop is an inspiring backdrop for your ceremony, boasting panoramic mountain views and a shipping container bar. The Barrel Room is a cozy, more intimate space featuring exposed metal roof beams, warmed up by 3 gorgeous hanging live planters and a wall lined with barrel racks offering a perfect ceremonial backdrop. This room accommodates up to 100 guests. Combined, The Event Center and Barrel Room can meet capacity for up to 280 seated guests and 450 for mingling style get-togethers.
Last but not least, their Downtown Taproom Mezzanine in the historic Art Deco S&W Cafeteria building offers amazing potential for intimate celebrations. Hosting up to 120 guests, it has everything you want for a sophisticated dinner reception.
Consult the expert team at Highland Brewing Company to bring your wedding vision to life. Their on-site bar includes a wide range of Highland brews and seasonal beers on draft. You can also request a signature small batch of beer to serve at your event. As well as beer, they offer cider, seltzer, wine, prosecco by the glass, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. If a liquor bar is desired, you can bring one to the venue via a licensed catering company. Glassware is included in your rental costs. They allow you to bring your own caterers and vendors and will work tirelessly to ensure your event runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.

The perfect wedding venue -beautiful and fun
Erin was so wonderful to work with from the start. She communicated everything with my husband and I, giving us facetime tours and meeting us every time we were in town to visit the space throughout the wedding planning process. The entire Highland staff was top notch including our day of coordinator Kirsten and every single bartender...everyone was so nice and amazing to work with.
The space honestly speaks for itself. The rooftop views are stunning and elegant and the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony. The flow is perfect because guests can remain on the rooftop for cocktail hour and then everyone walks down a beautiful stairway into the space which is perfect for any amount of guests and has a great spot for a dance floor. The views of the brewing inside was also a cool touch. The space is honestly beautiful on its own but was also the perfect canvas to really make our vision come to life.
I cannot write this review without mentioning the BEER! Highland beer is seriously so good, you even get to pick your own small batch beer and name it for your wedding which our guests thought was so cool. All of guests could not stop talking about how good it all was, there is also prossecco, wine, seltzer, cider and plenty of NA options so there is truly something for everyone.
It was the perfect unique wedding space for a stunning ceremony and incredible party. Our wedding would not have been the same if it was not here and this was hands down the best decision we made. Our guests LOVED this venue and people are still talking about how incredible, pretty and fun everything was. Seriously I have no negative things to say. We LOVED it here and it will always be a special place we can now go back to visit or think of each time we have a Highland beer!

We've had the pleasure of attending and working a couple of events here and the experience has always been stellar! From the hospitality, to the space, to the beer, Highland Brewing Company is simply an excellent choice for those looking to have an authentic wedding experience and for those who are lovers of craft beer!
I love Highland Brewing!! They are the best - the staff, the venue, and the beer! There isn't much more you can ask for, but they definitely give it. They have a rooftop, mezzanine for cocktail, and a beautiful reception space! They provide chairs, tables, and set up. You can't get much more Asheville than Highland!
