Highland Brewing was the very first vendor we booked for our wedding, over a year in advance, and it's easily the best decision we could have made. From the moment we reached out, the Highland team was incredibly kind, communicative, helpful, and accommodating. We worked primarily with Bailey, who is an absolute rockstar and such a pleasure to be around. She worked diligently with us, our coordinator, and our vendors to craft the perfect event, and we had so much fun doing it. She helped transform an already-awesome space into beyond what we envisioned for our big day, and did so seamlessly. We, and all our friends and family that were present, had an unforgettable experience. We could not have done it without her. We wanted a smaller (50 guests) wedding that was still beautiful and fun. Highland delivered that and so much more. The staff is so professional, but so kind and welcoming. They respond quickly to the smallest questions and make you feel heard and special. The venue itself is a dream. The rooftop is spectacular without feeling stuffy or pretentious. The Barrel Room is warm, welcoming, and has lovely character. You don't have to add much decor to make it a wedding dream. If you are looking for a wedding venue with views, charm, and character without feeling like you need to spend a million dollars then don't hesitate to book Highland for your wedding. They made our day the most special one. -

Highland Brewing Company was the perfect venue for our wedding. The space is absolutely stunning, and the layout, with its rooftop, mezzanine, and main floor, created a seamless flow throughout the day. For our 175 guests, the addition of the Barrel Room provided just the right amount of extra space, ensuring everyone felt comfortable without losing the intimate atmosphere. If you are a plant lover, Highland takes excellent care of their hanging greens in the Barrell Room and their flower boxes on the rooftop looked amazing!
The staff at Highland were professional and clearly experienced, making the entire planning process a breeze. Bailey, our event coordinator, was an absolute dream. She handled all the details and was instrumental in coordinating between our planner and vendors.
Highland provided our beer and wine, and they made it simple to apply for a liquor license so we could also have a full bar. From start to finish, everything was smooth, organized, and perfectly executed. We couldn’t recommend Highland Brewing Company more as a wedding venue.

When we began searching for our wedding venue we looked far and wide around the southeast, not having a specific location in mind but we did have an overall vision for our day. We toured several places but once we came across Highland we knew we had found the one. From the start it had everything we wanted for a wedding reception, a perfect outdoor rooftop overlooking the mountains, a perfect cocktail hour spot on the roof and the reception place downstairs was PERFECT for dinner, drinks and dancing to follow.
Erin was so wonderful to work with from the start. She communicated everything with my husband and I, giving us facetime tours and meeting us every time we were in town to visit the space throughout the wedding planning process. The entire Highland staff was top notch including our day of coordinator Kirsten and every single bartender...everyone was so nice and amazing to work with.
The space honestly speaks for itself. The rooftop views are stunning and elegant and the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony. The flow is perfect because guests can remain on the rooftop for cocktail hour and then everyone walks down a beautiful stairway into the space which is perfect for any amount of guests and has a great spot for a dance floor. The views of the brewing inside was also a cool touch. The space is honestly beautiful on its own but was also the perfect canvas to really make our vision come to life.
I cannot write this review without mentioning the BEER! Highland beer is seriously so good, you even get to pick your own small batch beer and name it for your wedding which our guests thought was so cool. All of guests could not stop talking about how good it all was, there is also prossecco, wine, seltzer, cider and plenty of NA options so there is truly something for everyone.
It was the perfect unique wedding space for a stunning ceremony and incredible party. Our wedding would not have been the same if it was not here and this was hands down the best decision we made. Our guests LOVED this venue and people are still talking about how incredible, pretty and fun everything was. Seriously I have no negative things to say. We LOVED it here and it will always be a special place we can now go back to visit or think of each time we have a Highland beer! -

Highland Brewing Company was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We got married at the end of December and used the barrel hall for our ceremony and the event center for our dinner and reception. The space was beautiful and everyone in attendance was wowed. For all that comes with the space, we really felt like we got our monies worth and then some. More than anything else, we can’t sing the praises of the staff enough. Everything was seamless, we were so catered to and were able to feel so calm knowing that they were taking care of so much and facilitating so much ( big shout outs to our highland coordinator, Marissa). They are an extremely easy going crew to work with and made everything about our day all the more magic. They even let us take photos on the rooftop even though it is closed to guests in the winter. Really worth every penny and gorgeous to get married there no matter the season. We can’t wait to go back and visit and hopefully see some familiar faces. We loved Highland so much. The title says it all, as do the other reviews, Highland Brewing is a phenomenal location to get married. Ceremony and reception in the same location, built-in weather contingency plan, beautiful views, and immaculate vibes. The partially rustic/partially industrial event space is separated from the main taproom by their canning/bottling facility, giving a bit of distance between the normal traffic and your event. The rooftop ceremony was framed by the beautiful backdrop of the mountains and blue skies. Elevator access and bars on every floor ensured the party was accessible and never far from anyone. We could not be happier with how the day went thanks in part to the wonderful staff at Highland. For the price and location, you won't find a better event space!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

We had our brunch wedding at Highland in May and it was absolutely perfect! We had our ceremony on the rooftop and followed with reception in the barrel room. It was the perfect venue! We then headed out the beer garden afterwards with everyone to keep the party going!
All of our friends and family were so impressed by the venue and how smoothly everything went. The rooftop was so unique and beautiful for the ceremony. And the hanging gardens in the barrel room make it really stand out. All of the Highland staff were so professional and organized throughout the whole process and wedding day. Tyler was our coordinator at Highland and he was awesome! He was so helpful with answering all of our questions and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Outstanding wedding venue
My daughter’s wedding was at Highland Brewing December 2022. We had the ceremony in the Barrel Room and reception in the event center. The space was perfect and the staff was the very best!! Our coordinator was Halle. She was always available and accommodating. She made sure everything was just as we wanted. We could not have been more satisfied with the whole experience!! Highland Brewing was an INCREDIBLE venue for our wedding. Throughout the planning process they were very relaxed and detailed typical day-of logistics and contingency plans in case of rain (which was needed!). Further, they provided a preferred vendor list that included groups who had done wedding there before. We chose almost exclusively from that list and it was so easy! Even with minimal decorations and having to move the ceremony indoors on the morning-of, this venue looked great and all our guests commented on how nice it was and how much they liked the vibe. Our guests also liked getting to try a lot of different craft beers. Sarah was our day-of coordinator representing Highland Brewing and she was very easy going and worked great with our vendors and planner, and accommodated all of our requests. As two craft beer lovers, my husband and I had visited Highland Brewing on a previous trip to Asheville. After we got engaged and learned they had an event space it was on the top of our list when selecting a venue. Halle and the team at Highland exceeded our expectations and were so responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She even helped us reserve a special beer for our signature drink! As a destination, Asheville has so many venues for weddings. But, the second we walked into the event space at Highland, we knew it was perfect. The event staff was absolutely amazing. With our Covid-postponement and reschedule, they were great. We had the ceremony on the rooftop and the views were gorgeous. Getting married in a mountain town, we wanted to ensure we had mountain views, which you can't find just anywhere. The stage in the main event space really lent to having a great band and everyone getting on the dancefloor. The space flowed and we just had a great time. The professionalism of all the staff helped us to enjoy every moment of the wedding without any worry. -

My husband and I held our wedding at Highland Brewing Company in Feb 2022 & the venue was everything we could have dreamed of and more. We are so grateful to have chosen HBC for our special day. My husband and I got married on November 5th at Highland Brewing Company! We were so happy and pleased with the natural beauty of the venue. The Highland Brewing Company staff was absolutely wonderful and very responsive. They checked on us frequently and made sure we were up to date and happy with the process before, and during our wedding day! Our guests still talk about how amazing the venue was. It was truly perfect in every single way. Not only is this venue great if you enjoy delicious craft beer, but it is perfect if you are looking for a naturally stunning/rustic venue. We enjoyed working with Highland Brewing for our Wedding. They are very organized and personable! We originally booked our venue with Highland in 2018 for a 2020 wedding, but then the pandemic happened and we were postponed until 2021. They always did whatever was needed to make it work. Brittany was our day of coordinator and she was so kind and helpful.
The venue is large and beautiful. We had the ceremony on the roof top with a cocktail hour to follow on the roof top. Then, our reception was inside with a live band. This venue was great for a live band!
You get to pick one of their specialty beers to be your beer. The list of options provided a great variety. We went with a sour, because that is our favorite style of beer.
I cannot recommend Highland enough. It is a beautiful venue with amazing staff. You will not be disappointed!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

You can’t go wrong!
In the winter of 2018, my fiancé and I went to the Highland Event Center for a Christmas market. After about 10 minutes of looking around and seeing the space, I mentioned to my boyfriend at the time, that I wanted to get married there! Secretly, he and my mom booked the venue for an October 2020 wedding date. When Ed proposed in April 2019, he also surprised me with the fact that the venue was booked and I couldn’t be more excited! Highland was extremely accommodating when we had to change our date from October 2020 to November 2021. We worked specifically with Nicole Vega from Highland and I couldn’t speak more highly of her. She was amazing! So on top of everything! We had our wedding 2 weeks ago at Highland and the event surpassed all expectations! Our band had an easy time getting their stuff into the venue and getting set up on their stage. All bartending staff was delightful to work with- professional and friendly! I would recommend Highland for any event-big or small. We had our ceremony on the roof, cocktail hour in the barrel room, and reception in the grand room. We had 165 guests but we easily could have fit more people (originally planned for 220). They also have the best beer in Asheville so you truly can’t go wrong!!!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

The event space at Highland Brewing was absolutely perfect for our wedding celebration. We were already legally married and just wanted to have a big party to celebrate - the Highland staff was incredibly helpful and made the day perfect. We love that the venue space is already so beautiful so minimal extra decorations were needed - the rooftop ceremony/cocktail hour and reception downstairs with their huge bar and stage was just amazing. Highland was the very first vendor I booked for my wedding; they were relatively new for a wedding venue at the time and so affordable for the Asheville area, and who doesn't want to get married at a brewery? Planning a wedding through the pandemic could have been very stressful (our original wedding date was June of 2020), but Melissa kept us informed about what was allowed and what wasn't and gave us up until a month before to decide if we wanted to reschedule, which we did. We still held a small ceremony on the rooftop with all of twenty people and Highland was so accommodating making it feel like a true wedding. When we went to reschedule there were only a few dates left in 2021, but we decided on July 9th and they let us keep our original price which was amazing seeing how we booked the venue nearly two years prior. Moving forward to 2021, Brittany became our coordinator from Highland and was just as helpful as Melissa. She kept us informed on what restrictions were being lifted and what Highland was doing in accordance to this. We finally got the good news that we could have a regular ole wedding with as many people as we wanted and we were thrilled! Brittany was great to work with the day of and helped my personal coordinators with any questions they had. Highland provided all of the tables, chairs, lighting and beautiful background for pictures in their pricing which I feel like is rare. Everyone loved the craft beers and the laid back atmosphere of the venue. I can't imagine a more perfect venue to celebrate two beer loving, laid back people. -

When we first got engaged, we spent a lot, and I mean a lot of time scoping out venues through Wedding Wire and The Knot but as soon as I saw pictures of Highland, I knew it was our venue. After we visited in Feb. 2020, we were positive that we had to book with them. Well then March 2020 hit and like so many other couples, we had no idea what our dream wedding was going to look like. Nicole and the entire team at Highland were so attentive throughout the planning process and shared updates with us almost every month. We were lucky that by our May 2021 wedding all restrictions were lifted. Woohoo!
When we finally returned to Highland almost a year and a half later for our rehearsal, we were blown away. They had made so many updates to the rooftop and it looked even more beautiful. My husband and I were literally giddy with excitement after seeing the venue the day before and I knew that our wedding would be everything we've ever dreamed of. But Highland really is so much more than just a gorgeous venue, the team that runs it is so professional, helpful, communicative, and enthusiastic that you will know right away that you are in good hands. -

We reached out to Highland a month before our desired elopement date, they were quick to respond! Marissa responded with quotes and included information/times/decor. She set up a phone call right away and was by far the best offer we received. We set up a 25 person micro wedding (COVID) in the barrel room (first wedding at this venue!). Since we booked about a month out from the date, Marissa was very responsive and quickly handled all necessary items. She worked with our caterers/staff to tour the venue space to make sure the day ran smoothly. We also loved that we could work with any vendors, not just preferred vendors since options were limited with our quick booking. We live in Houston so we were a bit anxious about booking a venue we had never seen so Marissa allowed us to tour the day before and it was outstanding! She even let us bring decor/cake/wedding day items to lessen the work for the wedding day which was greatly appreciated. We also rented a handful of their own decor and it was cost effective and they set up the day before! On the wedding day, Nikki took over as our venue manager and once again made the process seamless. Even with covid and requiring guests to sign waivers the safe was efficient and coordinated. We also had use of the trails/property for photos that made a gorgeous backdrop!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

We had a perfect wedding in the middle of a pandemic... I don’t know of a higher compliment to give. We had to postpone our original wedding and planned this one in under two months. From start to finish the entire staff at highland brewing was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and excited for us. Nikki was the first friendly voice we heard who got us started on the right path. She helped us make all the big plans and decisions, checked in often, and answered so many of my questions. Nicole and Marissa talked about every single detail with us, helped us tremendously in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and were the organized, lovely, kind women behind the perfect wedding weekend. I’m so thankful for our love of Asheville and finding highland brewing’s massive and beautiful event space. We got so many compliments and there was so much that they took care of (things included in the rental) so we didn’t have to worry about it (audio and visual, furniture, beer, decor, and so much more). Our wedding day was perfect and we owe a lot of that to Highland Brewing company having such a beautiful venue. We had the perfect weather day with a rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour where you have the mountains in the background. Then the event space itself is gorgeous without much decor. It is already set up and ready to go for a full band so your musicians really do not need to bring much at all.
Nikki and Marissa were fabulous to work with and the bartenders were great as well. We really loved the Highlands, the beer, and the venue-- it was great!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

We could probably right a short story about our beyond amazing experience with and at Highland Brewing for our wedding. It all began when my (now) husband and I were at Highland for a tour a couple years ago. We walked into the event space as they were setting up for a wedding and we instantly knew that the space was perfect. The main floor of the event space is naturally stunning. The wood accents on the walls, the touch of iron and metal in the space, the chalkboard beer menu, the huge stage, and the bridal SUITE….OMG the bridal suite. I’ll get to that in a minute. The mezzanine overlooks the main floor and wraps around beautifully; we chose to do our cocktail hour here for guests after the ceremony while we took photos and that was such a fabulous space to utilize. Move to the third floor and you have the rooftop bar where we had our ceremony, overlooking perfectly placed mountains as our background. Let me say that we barely decorated any of the event space….it was THAT gorgeous on its own. What sold us on Highland for our wedding was the vast amount of space and different types of roaming areas for our guests to move from one level to the next and finally to the main floor for our reception. Every floor served a different purpose and made for simple movement of the crowds while we took photos.
During our 1.5 year engagement, Highland continued to add their own improvements (none were NEEDED but they just kept making the space more attractive) to the space. They added fun and simple hanging lights to the main floor, redid the sound boards on the stage, removed sound boards from the wall which allowed the wooden accents to shine and most importantly, they built a bridal suite. Let me tell you, this is where you and your bridesmaids or groomsmen want to be the final moments before you walk down the aisle. It’s private. It’s comfortable. It’s hidden. There’s access to a bathroom. It’s simply perfectly placed. Our wedding planner also had a plate of food and beers waiting for my husband and I immediately after the ceremony in the suite so we could take 15 minutes to ourselves and without this space, that would not have been possible. Our guests could not stop complimenting the space. The views, the outdoor feels, indoor beauty, and ample dance space provided for the perfect trio of wedding fun.
Our main contact through the entire process was Nikki and we are forever indebted to her for her out of this world customer service. Nikki helped make our dreams come true. Admittedly, we had very specifics ideas of how we wanted the space to look and Nikki listened, so patiently, and executed beyond what we could have ever imagined. She is a saint and so very talented. Nikki answered almost every question we had on the spot and if she didn’t have the answer right then and there, she was in touch with us almost immediately to clarify. Her communication was second to none, her professionalism and spunky, fun demeanor truly helped make our wedding day the best day ever. My husband and I continue to say that we would relive that day any chance we could and we owe a great bit of that to Nikki.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that does not require a ton of décor but could be amplified would it, if preferred, look no further. The space can be transformed into whatever your style is but it’s also naturally so stunning; our guests were blown away that our “brewery wedding” was a top-notch venue. I promise you will not be disappointed with the customer service either. Nikki truly is one of the best in the biz.

We loved getting married at Highland
We got married at Highland on 3/10/2019. From touring the venue to booking to our reception, the Highland team was responsive and great to work with. We’re from Ohio, and Nikki and Hope were so helpful in helping us plan from afar. My dad was in an accident three weeks before our wedding, neccesitating a lot of changes in timeline and layout and the entire team was so accommodating during an extra stressful time. The venue is both beautiful and casual, and was so perfect for us. Our guests had a great time and enjoyed the beer immensely.Highland Brewing Company's reply:

If you're looking for an all-in-one ceremony site and reception venue, you're in luck. This 3-tiered wedding venue is perfect for small and large weddings! We had our wedding ceremony on the gorgeous roof-top space that overlooks the beautiful NC mountains. The rooftop was not only the perfect spot for our nuptials, but also a great spot for cocktail hour with a full working beer & wine bar and restrooms. The reception space is large with an industrial/rustic flair, with a huge bar and full-sized stage perfect for a band or DJ! We hired a food truck to come on-site, which the guests loved, but they have a kitchen space if you decide to hire a caterer. It's also a beautiful spot for wedding pictures!!! The event booking manager and event coordinator were also a pleasure to work with and were very accommodating! We chose Highland based on our visits to the taproom and concerts on the field. Nikki and the rest of the Highland team went above and beyond our expectations, though. They were so flexible, communicated clearly, and since most of the wedding was planned long distance for me, that was so important. We had asked to have as much of the wedding outside, even for mid-November, and they obliged. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and both the ceremony and most of cocktail hour could be up on the roof, which has stunning mountain and sunset views. The night of our event, their coordinator was on hand with my planner, making sure everything was running smoothly from the bar to the table settings to letting my husband and me into the canning facility for pictures. We loved the ambience of the room, the lights and colors and stage are perfect for a dinner and party. Plus, we were able to set up cornhole in the front entranceway so guests could escape and still relax inside. Sarah Sent on 10/12/2018Whitney and the Highland team were wonderful to work with. She was highly responsive, and very patient as we muddled our way through the wedding planning process with minutiae and endless questions. After talking with her, my mom and I both felt like, "Okay, we got this!"
As for the venue itself, we were looking for something laid back, and something that would give our guests a genuine Asheville experience. The ceremony overlooking the mountains on the rooftop was beautiful, which transitioned into cocktail hour on the roof, which transitioned into dinner and dancing down in the event space. Highland allows you to bring in your own vendors, which gave us good control over keeping costs down. They also have a built-in sound system which saved us money because our DJ didn't have to set it up himself. It's in town, so you don't have to shuttle your guests back and forth, and it's easy for them to continue the party afterward if they want to!
The whole process was unfussy, so much fun, and just a big party. Thank you Highland, (and special shoutout to Mr. Wong!), who made our day perfect and true to us. -

When we first had the idea to get married at a brewery, we weren't sure how to actually put that into action, but between Whitney and our wedding coordinator Nicole Bloom, it went off without a hitch and guests were raving about the experience of coming to a wedding in such a unique venue. The brewery itself was already legendary, but the added event center space and rooftop put it over the top! Amazing venue for couples looking for a rustic/industrial vibe, which captured our style perfectly. If you're looking for great brews and great views, Highland Brewing Company should be your top choice.

We loved having our wedding at Highland Brewing! It was the perfect venue for us - laid back/relaxed but equally as beautiful. We had a great experience working with the staff. We originally planned for the ceremony to be on the rooftop but due to rain, we moved it inside. The look and flow of our wedding was just as beautiful and smooth having it inside vs outside. Perfect Fall Wedding Venue
Our wedding day was wonderful with many thanks to highland and their staff! The venue had a ton of renovations done right before our big day that really took the place up a notch. There were a few times of miscommunication as they updated their contract terms after we had signed ours, but Nikki and Marissa were very responsive, understanding and held to their previous commitments laid out in the original contract. The staff was pleasant, hard working and a great time! Recommend to anyone looking for an industrial and fun environment for your big day!Highland Brewing Company's reply:

My husband brews beer and we are craft beer lovers. We are also huge fans of Asheville, so choosing Highland as our wedding venue was an easy decision. The rooftop view is beautiful and inside is amazing. We had so many compliments about the whole space throughout the night. Unfortunately, we were rained out so we missed out on the rooftop, but we couldn't have been luckier to have a space just as beautiful downstairs on the main level. Nikki worked with us throughout the process and was a gem in making sure our day was special. She was not available the day of the wedding, but we had Marissa there to help us keep things on schedule and take us around the property for photos. The only SNAFU we ran into with Marissa was the rain, which she can't control. It is always disappointing to have bad weather, but the staff at Highland were there to help make up for it as best they could. We were able to use the rooftop for pictures (in the end) so it wasn't a total loss. We are also thankful for Highland accommodating our unique "unity pour" (rather than unity candle) by providing us with two beers during the ceremony to mix. This is a beautiful venue and we highly recommend working with Nikki and Highland on your wedding day.Highland Brewing Company's reply:

Allison Sent on 10/21/2017The venue itself is very cool, all of your guests will be intrigued by a brewery wedding and trying local beers, which was fun. However the planning process was stressful, I felt like they were still figuring out costs and information as we went along. It was quick to get a response but I was disappointed in some of the service I received. During the wedding there were wedding crashers (even after I had asked for the "doorman" I was originally offered. They assured me a parking attendant would not allow for that.) this venue is very fun and allows for a unique setting, I just wish the planning process had been smoother. -

We were one of the first weddings in Highland's new event space, and they were working out some kinks, so although OUR experience was a 3.8 when it came to the planning process, it was a 5.0 the day of the event. (Trust me...if I felt that they were going to repeat them, I'd share the details, but I truly think it was just kinks.) Jamie was the MOD and he was AMAZING! Grant gave us some great recommendations for bands, which we used! We wanted more of a party than a wedding; we wanted a space that allowed our guests to experience Asheville to the fullest; that's exactly what we happened and we continue to hear from those that attended how much they loved the event, venue and BEER! -
