Welcome. We are Doug and Katherine, the artists behind Helios Images. For years our photographs have brought laughter and tears to lovers, artists, and friends along the San Francisco coast and to other destinations around the world. We are originally from New England, and have been delighted to call California home since 2009. Always shooting with our hearts, we have garnered international acclaim for our documentary wedding style and are glad to be involved in the wedding photography community. We are currently ranked number 31 in the world by the Wedding Photojournalist Association. Our Mantra? For Love.

We had the pleasure of working with Douglas Despres this summer at a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Boston (at the New England Aquarium). He was nothing short of wonderful to work with. He very also very gracious to provide a photo to us for the DVD disc and cover for the couple's wedding DVD. I would not hesitate to recommend Douglas Despres to any bride in either of the states he works out of (California and Mass.)
