Her work is simply magical. She has the unique ability to seemingly be 20 places at once, without being intrusive or orchestrating any “moments”. I hardly noticed her taking them, yet when we got our pictures back I was stunned at how well she captured the many beautiful little moments between my friends and family. She is easy to work with, and a joy to have at your celebration. Her warmth and energy comes through in her work. Amanda was such a joy to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding. I gave her my vague vision and she executed it flawlessly. She has such an amazing artistic instinct, while at the same time being so fun and easy to talk to which makes working with her a breeze. I’m usually nervous in front of a camera and had never really done a formal photo shoot before, but Amanda really put us at ease and gave directions that allowed for some really amazing shots.

Amanda is an absolute gem to work with! I found Amanda through the "Anti-Bride" website, which features the weddings of "untraditional" brides. I kept coming across the same kind of photographers with galleries full of staid, overly-posed shots, and I wondered if hiring a photographer was even for us. It was all so sterile and seemed to be all about capturing a certain “look” for social media, not the actual *feeling* of a wedding. Then I saw Amanda's photography. Her work is full of heart and warmth and captures the perfectly imperfect bits of weddings—the raucous laughter, the blurriness of a cake cutting after lots of champagne, and the wilting-yet-somehow-more-beautiful bouquets at the end of the night. We had an intimate wedding—just 40 guests—and she fit right in with our close friends and family. We loved her candid, documentary style, and that she could get the classic family shots, but also make beautiful, artful pictures on film. She was the fun, laidback complement to our type-A personalities during the planning process, and we’re still so in love with how all the photos turned out.
