After the event coordinator was suddenly no longer at Heatherwoode I was worried that my wedding would fall apart, but the food and beverage coordinator took over as our main contact and planner and he EXCEEDED our expections. He worked with us to make our wedding an absolute dream come true. Heatherwoode staff members were checking in with myself and my husband throughout the wedding to see if there was anything we needed and to make sure things were perfect. The bartenders were also exceptional and fun. The venue served as a beautiful backdrop as well, and we could not be more happy with our decision to choose Heatherwoode for our New Year’s Eve wedding.Sent on 01/06/2019

We had our wedding in the main building, with the ceremony out on the covered deck. We had a smaller wedding and reception, and this worked out very nice for us. It was very clean, the set up and staff were nice, and the food was excellent. Overall we had a great experience there.Sent on 02/25/2013

We had a wedding there this past weekend. The venue is very beautiful, however some things that we ran into was we were to have a cash bar only during the appetizers and then serve the two kegs of beer along with the tea, soda and water starting at dinner. Guest were still purchasing beer at $3 a bottle when we had the kegs. The bartenders were pushing those vs. serving our guests what was purchased. We also asked for no hard liquor and that was being served as well. The food was good and it was announced that people could go for seconds as we had people as no show but as soon as that was announced the staff quickly shut the doors so no one could receive any additional food. We were told there would be more than enough food but I was advised by friends who have had this same thing happen at other venues that the staff usually takes home the left over food so I am not sure if this was the case or not and will never know. The groom and groomsmen were given a golf game for having the wedding there. During their game they were approached and told to step aside for members to go ahead of them regardless of where they were on the course. They were treated rudely by the staff on the course and made to feel like the were not welcomed to be there. And lastly, the wedding favors were tic tacs and photos. One of the mothers gathered up all photos and tic tacs left behind and placed in a pile. When she went to gather all the pictures were there but the tic tacs were all gone. Rather funny as it wouldn't have been a big deal if they would have just asked. Again the venue is beautiful but there are things that need to be worked on.Sent on 08/05/2017
