Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center was the perfect choice for my wedding. I was extremely impressed and happily surprised with all facets of my special day. John Traynor, Gary Bartlett and the staff at HMAC were incredible. Everything was so well thought out. The moment my guests walked in the door they were greeted by friendly staff and told where they should go. The Capitol Room had lights everywhere and it was incredibly romantic and inviting. The ceremony took place up on the stage, so our guests had a perfect view of our wedding celebration. Everyone that was working that night was so accommodating. The service was excellent. The appetizers came out as soon as the ceremony was over and they were absolutely amazing. The clean up was swift, the chairs were placed back at the tables, and the dancing and festivities began. Our 125 guests had an enormous dance floor and definitely made good use of it. Dinner was delicious... The chef cooked up an incredible assortment of food that pleased all of my guests. Filet Mignon, Chicken Franchise, Pasta Primavera, Caesar Salad were some of the dishes that were served, buffet style. Everyone was well-fed and very happy.
So, in conclusion I give The Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center major props for doing such an awesome job with my wedding. They made my day stress free and everything went very smoothly. Thanks again to John Traynor, Gary Bartlett and their staff for making make special day the best one ever!!!

The best part of HMAC is the open slate you have! We are a very DIY couple and we were able to create exactly what we wanted with the room. John, Ann and Justin were great. Letting us do what we wanted! The best part was that our celebration was able to run longer than most venues. Would recommend to anyone. Our guests loved the shuttle we booked to and from the Hilton :)

My wife and I had just gotten engaged and one night, while eating at HMAC (our favorite restaurant), we were talking about how much we wished it could serve as a wedding venue. We were looking for a unique setting to throw our party, and come to find out, there is a beautiful ballroom right above our favorite restaurant! We instantly fell in love with the charm of the newly renovated space and decided that this would be the perfect place for our reception.

Working with a venue like HMAC that serves as a restaurant, bar, concert venue, and (relatively new) wedding venue, means that the experience is completely different than working with a place that churns out reception after reception. Every aspect of our wedding was personalized and customized, and at no point did we choose anything off of a pre-prepared menu of options.

Speaking of menu! I mentioned earlier that the food at their restaurant was great and they only stepped it up for our wedding. HMAC's chef was incredible. She sat down with us and over the course of 1-2 weeks helped us to come up with a menu that really wowed our guests. We opted to have different food stations around the room and you could taste the effort that went into every dish. From the appetizers, to the main courses, and even dessert, every guest we've talked to has consistently said, "that was the best food I've ever had at any wedding."

The actual reception was amazing. There was more than enough staff on hand to make sure all of our needs were met and they were all very professional. HMAC's stage was perfect for our band and I truly have never seen that many people dancing at a wedding. They have a great sound/lighting system as well. The bar was also awesome. It is an actual, built-in, full bar with craft beers on tap and all the other good stuff too including signature cocktails and literally anything else.

Our wedding was absolutely the best wedding I had ever seen and I simply can't recommend HMAC highly enough.
