I really want to emphasize the patience here, too, because we can be pretty indecisive and did a lot of back and forth and hemming and hawing. She was also willing to make adjustments, give us her expert opinions, but also listened to what we wanted and helped us find the best solutions. She is super organized, on top of deadlines and communications, and handles challenging vendors like the pro she is. Plus, she's just a lovely human, who is a joy to be around - my only regret is that we aren't local so we can't grab drinks with her now that the chaos is over! Hiring Kellyne from Hand+Heart was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. I knew I wanted a really unusual wedding - my theme was Halloween meets Victorian Gothic - and I knew I needed to find an events team who would get on board. From our initial phone call, Kellyne was amazing, enthusiastic, and clearly very talented at designing and coordinating events. She did a fantastic job and I can't recommend her enough!

My wife and I got engaged in January 2022 and just six months later we were married. We had never thought our engagement would be so short-lived. We figured that planning our wedding would be an enormous feat as it was for many couples that we know and that we would need at least a year to get all the pieces in place.

Kellyne was local to the Outer Sunset in San Francisco and had a special fondness for smaller ceremonies and those that are non-traditional in nature but true to the bride & groom. We could sense her excitement when we walked her through our unshaped vision for our wedding: the ceremony would take place near the Tulip Garden in Golden Gate Park and surrounded by huge trees, followed by a reception dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant just 5 minutes away.

Kellyne gave us all the to-dos, provided actionable timelines, and surfaced blind-spots. My wife and I were amazed so many times at how detailed she was - we’d often think: wow, I never would have thought of that. Perhaps most importantly, Kellyne always kept our original vision as the guiding force. This was apparent not just in partners she recommended to bring our vision to life in floral and photography, but also in the smallest of details such as signage and table setting. And where possible, she would drum up some beautiful decorative pieces she had collected over the years to help us save some money.

Kellyne was such a wonderful partner through all this. We can’t imagine a better day than the one we had and with a short turnaround time like ours. We were planning a wedding in early Covid days when everything was so uncertain! Kellyne guided us every step of the way. Our minds were at ease knowing we had that support through our unique circumstance. And during our special day of Kellyne coordinated every detail to our specifications. She went above and beyond. We are so grateful and couldn’t have done it without her!

Our wedding turned out amazing, and it started with the best first decision we could have made: Hiring Kellyne! We were initially going with a different planner - recommendation from another friend, but had a bad experience where the planner was unresponsive - no response for 7 days, and gave no notice that they would be on vacation and unable to respond in that time. Luckily, we had that experience before we signed the contract. We were a little bit gun-shy, but reached out to Kellyne on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional wedding photographer and who had worked with Kellyne in a past wedding.

Kellyne is super responsive! We went with full planning, and she was with us for all venue visits, talked to us every month with a pre-scheduled monthly meeting, sent us useful checklists, reminders at the exact right cadence. We knew what we had to do at each moment leading up to the wedding, and our stress was minimized especially while we were both working very stressful and hectic jobs.

Kellyne's design sense is so good! We asked for a tropical-themed wedding. She sent us a Pinterest board, and really listened to what we had to say: we ended up with more peachy colors, leafy accents, and lots of fruit, and the result was just amazing at the wedding! I loved watching the venue slowly get decorated and built up. From cushions that Kellyne brought to the venue that fit the theme to different decor and accent pieces, and with all the work she did coordinating with our vendors, everything looked incredible.

Kellyne also works with an amazing set of vendors! We went with her recommendations for basically every vendor. I realized during the wedding that the vendors are used to working with Kellyne - it felt like everything had already been perfectly planned and the day just executed seamlessly. Lots of folks asked us how we felt the week coming up to the wedding and the day of, but we were left to just feel excitement, all the happy, joyful emotions, and we were able to just enjoy the day stress-free, because we knew Kellyne was handling everything!

We started planning our wedding during the summer of 2019 for October 2020. Of course, we were one of the pandemic couples who had to make the very hard decision to postpone. Kellyne was there for us every step of the way. We were so overwhelmed and stressed at the idea of postponing, but after every check in call with kellyne, we had hope and excitement again. Once we had our new date, we stopped planning for a while, and during that time, she went almost an entire year without getting paid, and still, she was so attentive and helpful. There was a point when we almost threw in the towel. We were anxious about COVID, and it felt insane to be planning a wedding when we didn't know anything about what the world was going to look like. We called her to tell her we were thinking about cancelling, and she was totally respectful of our decision, and at the same time that she encouraged us not to lose hope. Her flexibility, creativity, and follow-through inspired us and we decided to go for it. We are so incredibly glad that we did. It was the best day of our lives, all thanks to Kellyne. She made our vision come to life, and if there were any stressors on the day of, we didn't even notice. She is so grounded and calm and we had every confidence that she could handle anything. Having her on our team relieved so much stress, and she made it more successful and beautiful than we ever could have.
