Working with Kellyne was such a dream. Even though our wedding was on the smaller side (55 people) we didn't want to worry or stress about all of the little things that come along with planning such a big day. Kellyne was amazing to work with - she took the vision we had and ran with it. She was always one step ahead of everything, quick to respond and truly has the answer to everything. I appreciated her design skills the most, you can tell she is really passionate about what she does. She just gets it! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone. -

Kellyne was our true wedding MVP! My husband and I had big dreams for our Hindu/Jewish wedding in Carmel Valley, CA, and we could not have made any of them realities with her expert guidance, impeccable eye for design, awesome vendor contacts, and of course, kindness, patience, and warmth. I really want to emphasize the patience here, too, because we can be pretty indecisive and did a lot of back and forth and hemming and hawing. She was also willing to make adjustments, give us her expert opinions, but also listened to what we wanted and helped us find the best solutions. She is super organized, on top of deadlines and communications, and handles challenging vendors like the pro she is. Plus, she's just a lovely human, who is a joy to be around - my only regret is that we aren't local so we can't grab drinks with her now that the chaos is over! If you are looking for someone to bring your vision to life and make you say "Is this really OUR wedding?" when you see the setup, you have to book her!!! It was the best decision we made :) -

Simply the Best!
Where to start with Hand+Heart!?! Kellyne was an absolute dream through the wedding planning process. My husband and I are both chronically busy with work and school and we were so thankful to have Kellyne help us make our wedding so special and so us!
Not only did she give invaluable feedback about vendors, she helped make our garden party vision a reality. She also had an amazing way of calming me down when I felt behind or problem solving and mitigating any potential problems the day of the wedding. I cannot recommend her enough! -

My wife and I got engaged in January 2022 and just six months later we were married. We had never thought our engagement would be so short-lived. We figured that planning our wedding would be an enormous feat as it was for many couples that we know and that we would need at least a year to get all the pieces in place.
But we were so excited for our future. We really wanted to purchase our first home together and soon after, start a family. Because of this, we decided to have a much smaller wedding - just 25 guests. Even though this felt more manageable, we were beginning to feel overwhelmed with panic. What does a small wedding even look like? What are the blind-spots in planning? What if we cut too many corners and our moment doesn’t even feel special?
Then we found Kellyne at Hand & Heart. What an incredible stroke of good fortune. Kellyne was local to the Outer Sunset in San Francisco and had a special fondness for smaller ceremonies and those that are non-traditional in nature but true to the bride & groom. We could sense her excitement when we walked her through our unshaped vision for our wedding: the ceremony would take place near the Tulip Garden in Golden Gate Park and surrounded by huge trees, followed by a reception dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant just 5 minutes away.
Kellyne gave us all the to-dos, provided actionable timelines, and surfaced blind-spots. My wife and I were amazed so many times at how detailed she was - we’d often think: wow, I never would have thought of that. Perhaps most importantly, Kellyne always kept our original vision as the guiding force. This was apparent not just in partners she recommended to bring our vision to life in floral and photography, but also in the smallest of details such as signage and table setting. And where possible, she would drum up some beautiful decorative pieces she had collected over the years to help us save some money.
Kellyne was such a wonderful partner through all this. We can’t imagine a better day than the one we had and with a short turnaround time like ours. She really held our hand through the entire process and we couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. We will always recommend Kellyne and her Hand & Heart team! -

Our wedding turned out amazing, and it started with the best first decision we could have made: Hiring Kellyne! We were initially going with a different planner - recommendation from another friend, but had a bad experience where the planner was unresponsive - no response for 7 days, and gave no notice that they would be on vacation and unable to respond in that time. Luckily, we had that experience before we signed the contract. We were a little bit gun-shy, but reached out to Kellyne on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional wedding photographer and who had worked with Kellyne in a past wedding.
Kellyne is super responsive! We went with full planning, and she was with us for all venue visits, talked to us every month with a pre-scheduled monthly meeting, sent us useful checklists, reminders at the exact right cadence. We knew what we had to do at each moment leading up to the wedding, and our stress was minimized especially while we were both working very stressful and hectic jobs.
Kellyne's design sense is so good! We asked for a tropical-themed wedding. She sent us a Pinterest board, and really listened to what we had to say: we ended up with more peachy colors, leafy accents, and lots of fruit, and the result was just amazing at the wedding! I loved watching the venue slowly get decorated and built up. From cushions that Kellyne brought to the venue that fit the theme to different decor and accent pieces, and with all the work she did coordinating with our vendors, everything looked incredible.
Kellyne also works with an amazing set of vendors! We went with her recommendations for basically every vendor. I realized during the wedding that the vendors are used to working with Kellyne - it felt like everything had already been perfectly planned and the day just executed seamlessly. Lots of folks asked us how we felt the week coming up to the wedding and the day of, but we were left to just feel excitement, all the happy, joyful emotions, and we were able to just enjoy the day stress-free, because we knew Kellyne was handling everything!
Hire Kellyne! You won't regret it! -

Kellyne is AMAZING and we can’t recommend her enough!! We hired her to be our month plus coordinator and it was hands down the best purchase of all of our wedding expenses. We almost didn’t hire a coordinator because we were confident we could handle most of the planning on our own but it was SO helpful to have her as a sounding board throughout the planning process, and made the day so much less stressful for us.
She went way beyond the scope of her offerings. She was quick to reply to our emails, she provided great recommendations for our DJ, florist and rentals, and added creative ideas/suggestions along the way that added unique touches we wouldn’t have thought of on our own. It was clear that she has extensive experience planning because there were so many small things she thought of that we never would have considered and definitely made the day go smoother.
By the time it got to the day of she made the magic happen behind the scenes to bring our vision to life without us having to stress on our day. We were so impressed with how she arranged all of our table decor and rental set ups. She even added some of her own small decor items to help make it perfect. It truly looked like it was straight out of a magazine; she has a great eye for the design details!
We had to push our wedding date back a year because of COVID but the delay truly showed us how detail oriented and invested Kellyne was in making our day happen as we imagined. Even after pausing for 6 months, she remembered all of the small details we had discussed initially, even ones we had forgotten about. And she was patient through all of our changed plans as we navigated the new circumstances.
Wedding planning can feel a little isolating because you don’t always want to burden your friends/family agonizing over the nitty gritty details. It was amazing to have Kellyne on our side because she truly felt like a close friend who cared about our day as much as we did. Do yourself a favor and get Kellyne on your team asap!! :) -

Kellyne Is The BEST!!!
We started planning our wedding during the summer of 2019 for October 2020. Of course, we were one of the pandemic couples who had to make the very hard decision to postpone. Kellyne was there for us every step of the way. We were so overwhelmed and stressed at the idea of postponing, but after every check in call with kellyne, we had hope and excitement again. Once we had our new date, we stopped planning for a while, and during that time, she went almost an entire year without getting paid, and still, she was so attentive and helpful. There was a point when we almost threw in the towel. We were anxious about COVID, and it felt insane to be planning a wedding when we didn't know anything about what the world was going to look like. We called her to tell her we were thinking about cancelling, and she was totally respectful of our decision, and at the same time that she encouraged us not to lose hope. Her flexibility, creativity, and follow-through inspired us and we decided to go for it. We are so incredibly glad that we did. It was the best day of our lives, all thanks to Kellyne. She made our vision come to life, and if there were any stressors on the day of, we didn't even notice. She is so grounded and calm and we had every confidence that she could handle anything. Having her on our team relieved so much stress, and she made it more successful and beautiful than we ever could have. She also has so much knowledge and experience, and she helped us along the way make decisions, while letting us have creative control. Do yourself a favor and hire Kellyne for your wedding! Not only is she extremely good at her job, but she is also just so fun to be around. We love her so much! -

Hire Kellyne for your wedding!
We hired Kellyne in Oct 2019 when we first got engaged. We planned for a 2021 Wedding knowing that we needed some time to plan a California wedding while we were living across the country in Washington DC.
Kellyne was so genuine and organized at our first few virtual meetings and phone calls. I could tell she loves her job which made someone like me, who was not super enthused about wedding planning, more excited for the process.
Little did we know that a global pandemic would hit and Kellyne didn't miss a step with her communication and reassurance. Our plan was to always keep our 2021 date even if it meant significantly altering our plans and Kellyne was there every step of the way, giving us updates on COVID restrictions, venue and vendor changes and she always had a plan (or even multiple plans) for worst case scenario situations.
Needless to say this made planning from afar SO easy.
We got married in May 2021. We picked vendors going off of Kellyne's recommendations and I can't emphasize enough how impressed we were with ALL of them. Showing up to our wedding without having seen the venue or meeting the vendors in person was a bit like a blind date but our wedding weekend was perfect and beyond what we could have ever expected. Kellyne is everything you would want in a planner: genuine, enthusiastic, flexible, organized, communicative and encouraging. We highly recommend her for any part of your wedding planning process because we are so grateful we had her by our side! -

Kellyne was one of the first vendors that Dylan and I hired for our Oakland, CA wedding in 2019. I found Kellyne through a combination of Google searches and Wedding Wire searches, and thank goodness for that. I remember feeling flooded with relief after our initial phone call. Kellyne was friendly (but not over the top bubbly and oozing with disingenuous excitement), organized, transparent about her experience and her services (including her expertise in design), and most importantly, she was so warm and real that I knew right away I wanted to be her friend.
We hired Kellyne for partial planning services after little deliberation, and she was off to the races executing our big day within a week. Her excellent and trusted referral list led us to a majority of our vendors: Photographer, Lighting, Catering, Signage, Paper goods, Hair/Makeup, Florals, the list goes on. Kellyne works with only the best- but not the luxury vendors who’s price points are so unattainable you feel defeated- the vendors who are committed to high quality products/services at approachable price points for young couples living in the Bay Area.
Kellyne has many talents, but there are three that were most appreciated by me and Dylan throughout our engagement and wedding planning process:
1. Kellyne’s clear and frequent communication with vendors. Because of this, Dylan and I were able to avoid much of the headache that can be wedding planning. Kellyne crafted and sent initial and follow up emails, she created and communicated timelines with vendors, she fielded challenging questions and miscommunications, and she honored our opinions throughout it all.
2. Kellyne’s keen eye for design and her ability to single-handedly execute her design visions. Dylan and I knew that we wanted a wedding true to California- vibrant, colorful, coastal, and a little bit bohemian at times. Kellyne needed only a couple of initial conversations about our design dreams to in turn produce a large-scale event (actually two events) that were flawlessly composed. She collaborated with our florist, among other vendors, to produce abundant tablescapes, a beautiful welcome table, a dessert display to die for, and so much more.
3. Kellyne’s personality is what really makes her shine. She is a professional at all times, but she is also a friend who cares for her couples. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March of 2020 and we realized we would need to reschedule our wedding, Kellyne held long phone calls with me honoring our mixed feelings during a difficult time. She was a source of comfort and wisdom through every moment of uncertainty, and in the end, she coordinated both a stunning and intimate elopement ceremony in 2020, as well as a flawlessly designed large-scale wedding and reception in 2021.
If you are a couple in the Bay Area who wants to work with an honest, hard-working, brilliant woman as your event coordinator, look no further. Kellyne is the best there is. -

We loved working with Kellyne and her assistant Michelle from Hand & Heart as day-of coordinators. I talked with a number of planners and Kellyne's organization, experience, and style really shone through. We met with Kellyne at the venue in advance to walk through everything. Even though she had just had a new baby (!), she was available by phone and email when we had questions. She had a number of systems to make sure we thought of everything. The day went flawlessly and Kellyne and Michelle executed our vision perfectly. We also took advantage of her rental inventory for bohemian aisle rugs and other decor. We definitely recommend Kellyne and Hand & Heart Events. -

She has every characteristic you want in a wedding planner: professional, caring, intelligent, great sense of design, amazing coordination skills, food/beverage background, and seemingly endless patience to deal with you and your crazy wedding demands. (please don't have crazy wedding demands)

Hiring Kellyne was absolutely the best investment of our wedding! She made it so easy every step of the way and was always available and happy to help with any and all questions and requests we had. Kellyne checked in frequently with us through the planning process to make sure we were on track, and accommodated our every request. And when our wedding day ended up with a 100% chance of rain, she worked hard the week leading up to it to communicate about every detail with the venue so we could be prepared. She even was able to pull together last minute decor for the indoor ceremony site! Our wedding would not have been half as beautiful without her help with the design and decor. She has an amazing eye for design, and also completely understood and catered to our individual style and the look we wanted. She took care of all the set up and break down so that we didn't have to think about it at all. We absolutely could not have done it without her! I could not recommend Hand + Heart events more highly to make your wedding day exactly what you want it to be! -

We planned our wedding with a very short timeline and were having trouble confirming a florist. Kellyne was recommended to us and she was wonderful from start to finish. She really listened to what I wanted and created the perfect florals for our special day. My two most important wishes for my wedding day were beautiful flowers and great pictures and with the bouquet she created I was able to have both of these! Hiring Kellyne from Hand+Heart was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. I knew I wanted a really unusual wedding - my theme was Halloween meets Victorian Gothic - and I knew I needed to find an events team who would get on board. From our initial phone call, Kellyne was amazing, enthusiastic, and clearly very talented at designing and coordinating events. She did a fantastic job and I can't recommend her enough! -
