Elegant Green Gables, amid its renowned setting of graceful trees, lush lawns, meandering streams and lovely floral gardens, provides the perfect milieu for your special celebration.

Located at the heart of the Laurel Highlands in Jennerstown and conveniently close to Somerset, Johnstown, Ligonier, and a mere 60 miles from Pittsburgh, Green Gables offers decades of experience in providing first-class service for special occasions. For intimate gatherings or lavish affairs on a grand scale, Green Gables is uniquely suited to memorable events for parties of 2 to 400.

Green Gables Restaurant offers five areas which can be used together or individually depending on the size of your affair or the atmosphere you would like to create.

Three Terrace areas overlook the beautiful grounds and a natural waterfall. These spaces are perfect for dining or for small parties and can be combined for larger events.

The Tuscany Room and The Dining Room feature fireplaces which can be lit during the winter and on cooler evenings.

The Tuscany Room is the largest common space and features a 27′ x 34′ hardwood dance floor, romantic lighting, and bar area.

Outdoors

The beautiful grounds are a perfect site for a wedding ceremony.

The outdoor patio off the Tuscany Room overlooks the stream which meanders at the edge of the lawn. Depending on the weather, your event can be expanded to include this area.

Ample, complimentary parking is available for all guests. Reserved parking for bridal parties or VIP guests can also be arranged in front of the restaurant.

We had a perfect wedding day at Green Gables

We had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at Green Gables on October 29th, 2022. The venue is absolutely stunning so no need to travel anywhere else for great newlywed photos. The Swedish meatballs at cocktail hour were an absolute hit! The dinner area is gorgeous and all our guests absolutely loved the venue. Theresa was so helpful in making sure we were ready to go and all the details and timeline of the reception flowed without missing a beat. They also set up the reception hall to our exact wishes ( and even more) . They were very professional and helped make our wedding absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a wedding venue in western PA check out Green Gables it was so beautiful!

Parents of the groom/rehearsal party hosts

We hosted our son’s rehearsal party last weekend. What a gorgeous venue! Everything was perfect from the food to the atmosphere to the view! Attention to detail was important to us from the beginning of the planning stages until the event itself….we can honestly say that they met or exceeded all of our expectations!

Unbelievable How Well it Went

The wedding was unbelievable. Fantastic in just about every way you could imagine. The Green Gables staff was very attentive and went above and beyond to help from every angle. Reasonable pricing and great record of important contacts to help with the transportation, beer, walk-able lodging etc. Most of our guests (over 200) came from Pittsburgh and the drive seemed very doable for them in case you are a fellow yinzer and were considering the distance. Plenty of hotels in nearby Somerset as well. We can not thank the owner Teresa enough who did so much work planning everything for us and was an amazing day of coordinator. I highly suggest you schedule a meeting with her if you find yourself preparing for an upcoming wedding.

Perfectly elegant venue with great service!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my wedding at Green Gables. We had multiple guests tell us that it was the most beautiful and unique venue that they had been to. Teresa was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. She was very prompt, timely, and incredibly efficient. She was always quick to respond to me with any questions or changes I had, especially the weeks leading up to my wedding. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating regarding everything we wanted to have at the wedding - we didn't get a single "no, we can't/won't do that" for any of our little details for the day (and between a ceremony champagne table, cocktail hour live music, cigar bar on the patio, and sparkler exit, we had a lot of little additional details for the day).
The day of the wedding went perfectly. Teresa kept us calm in the presence of a bad weather forecast (that luckily turned around) and reassured us that everything could still be done and we had a plan B and plan C for locations within the venue. She also kept great communication throughout the day, checking in with me and my bridal party and keeping everything running exactly on time. All of the staff did a beautiful job with decorations and layout of the venue, and guests told me how polite and friendly all of the staff was.
If you are someone who is a planner and wants to work with someone who keeps you on track for the entire wedding day, I can't recommend Green Gables enough.

This is one of the most romantic wedding venues you will find in western PA. The staff was wonderful, had an eye for detail, and very accommodating. Any question you have, they have the answer. The food was perfect, we had salmon and prime rib and organic vegetables from there gardens. If I had to describe the feel of Green Gables, I would call it rustic elegance. Our officiant told us afterwards that she had performed many weddings but this was the most beautiful one she has done. My second daughter already told me this is where she is getting married when that day comes. I can not say enough good things, it surpassed my expectations.

We could not be more pleased!! Everything from the planning to the end on the reception was nothing short of amazing. Theresa made it so easy and smooth. The food was great and the staff couldn't have been better. Gorgeous grounds to have a wedding. A++++

We were thrilled with everything about Green Gables. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious, and most of all, Teresa and her staff were incredibly professional and easy to work with. Their work on the day of our wedding made it so that we had nothing to do except enjoy the day. Our guests had nothing but glowing things to say about the venue and we couldn't recommend Green Gables more enthusiastically.

My daughter was married here Sept. 22,2012. From the moment you book Teresa and her staff charge of all the on-sight planning. We received many compliments from our guests about the beauty of the venue and property as well as the quality of the food. The wedding came off exactly as planned. I was so impressed with Teresa's flexibility and her desire to deliver whatever the couple and our families asked, but not afraid to voice her opinion if she thought we were going down a wrong road. I can not say enough about this venue and the staff. A talked of experience at a very affordable price. Thanks Teresa and staff!

ABSOLUTELY the best decision I made! Teresa was wonderful, the staff was friendly and super helpful! My flowers were not delivered and they took me out and cut flowers from the ground to use! They also helped me put together the centerpieces. Our families stayed at Huddleson Court and the Coal Miner's Inn for the weekend and it was great. The service that you get is unbelievable, especially given the great prices!

The guests loved the atmosphere. It is so pretty! We were married on the lawn in front of the willow tree. No one could believe the flowers and upkeep of the grounds! Not to mention the reception hall! It was perfect for us, as we are very outdoorsy, and love nature.

As far as the food - it was WONDERFUL! I had nothing but compliments on the crab cakes, stuffed chicken breast, and portabella mushroom dinner choices. They said they couldn't believe that it was wedding food! We also chose the pear and port soup, signature salad and white cake with ice cream for dessert. The appetizers were amazing and I didn't even SEE them (because we were doing pictures) the guests loved them!

Green Gables is a WONDERFUL venue for both ceremony and reception. I held my ceremony out on their patio overlooking the lake and the reception inside the restaurant. Their main banquet room has a dance floor and is absolutely gorgeous for anyone interested in a rustic, floral venue. Teresa (proprietor of Green Gables) is extremely organized and made sure that everything went off with out a hitch. She's always just a phone call away and she's so reasonable. The day of the rehearsal, Teresa had everything lined up and ready and led us through the motion of the following day so seamlessly that I had nothing to be nervous about.

The food is amazing and is wonderfully presented. We had a steak strip and potatoes main course and not only did it taste amazing, but it looked like it was prepared by world class chefs.

Maybe the most considerate thing Green Gables does for us is that they prepare, arrange and decorate with flowers grown right on the grounds there for the reception. So all you need to provide on your own is flowers for the reception and your own bouquets etc. It's included in the cost and you can even have this as your centerpiece, which I did. It takes such a load off of the planning .

This is a wonderful venue. I'd reselect it any day!
