I walked into Gown Town wanting a colored dress (aqua) and only saw white/ivory dresses. I spoke with the owner, telling her what I was looking for my destination wedding and even though I wasn't looking for a traditional wedding dress, she suggested I look around her store a few minutes. She proceeded to show me about a dozen dresses that would fit my wedding setting (sunset wedding on a schooner in Key West). I ended up trying on about 6 of them. Of course, I found the dress of my dreams that day (ivory--not aqua). I wanted to come back with my step-mother on the weekend so she could see it. Luckily, when I returned, it was still there (I think she put it somewhere so no-one else would find it). The dress was just gorgeous and I couldn't believe how affordable it was. I wish I had stopped in Gown Town as my 1st choice, it would have saved a lot of time.

I absolutely loved this place, I went in just looking around, boutique are usually more expensive but i left with my dress that same day. They lady there was soo attentive and honest .... That's the big difference ... She as honest with me if something didn't look good she told me ... I will d diff be back with my bridesmaids

Great experience with off the rack dress shopping! Found my dress in one visit at an incredibly reasonable price for a brand new gown in perfect condition. I highly recommend Gown Town!

I found the perfect dress here! I just happened to notice the shop by accident while driving by on a Saturday, and they were so nice to let me try on dresses. They had a great variety of dresses and all of them were gorgeous. The prices were amazing. I got a brand new designer dress originally priced at $2600 for $450. I guess it had somehow ended up on consignment even though it was brand new. The ladies there were so nice and overall it was such a great experience. Would go back there anytime!!

I specifically went into Gown Town to find a low cost wedding dress. When I came in Debbie, the owner, helped me. She asked me what I was looking for and my budget. She pulled a few dresses for me and let me look on my own as well. I ended up falling in love with a dress me sister found. An Allure Satin ball gown. It was a little too small and Joan explained to me exactly how she could alter the dress for me. At check out, the dress came to over $100 over my budget. Debbie asked if that was ok with me but I really couldn't afford it. To my surprise, she took another 10% off to accommodate my budget! I can't say more about this dress shop!

Gown town is an off the rack wedding dress retailer ( they do sell maids/mom dresses too, but mostly brides). The dresses are ( for the most part) the samples from a season ago that boutiques are done using. So they have been tried on, but are mostly new. Its basically a room PACKED with racks of dresses and you have to look through each one. This does mean they only have one dress and can not order other sizes. However, the dresses are between 40 and 80% off retail price.

The dressing room is nice and big and has a huge mirror and a bench for your entourage. I got my 12000 dress for 600, with no waiting or sales people clipping you or making you try things on you don't like. I was able to find the "almost" perfect dress and afford to turn it into exactly what I was looking for for under $800

After filling out the form online, and leaving several messages, I was finally able to schedule an appointment here. I came in looking for a lightweight summer gown, and there were only 1 or 2 dresses that fit the bill and neither were what I was looking for. I understand that they are a sample consignment shop, so their selection will be very limited, but I wasn't expecting to have such poor luck. This shop is also in a building that is not handicap accessible, so my grandmother (who uses a walker) would not have been able to go up the stairs.
