During our 2-year engagement, we interviewed 4 wedding planners in the Northern VA area. While all were qualified, no one gave us a sense that wedding planning was a personal passion. This wasn't even considered a con to us at the time... until we spoke with Jayselle (J). In our first conversation (she didn't make it feel like an interview), we realized that this isn't someone that just loves weddings and excels under pressure, this is a person whose mission is to honor the story of the couple. The questions J asked went beyond what our wedding vision was. She wanted to know about us: our history, our love, our families, our interests as a couple and as individuals. The choice to go with J as our wedding planner was one of the best investments we made! She was so flexible of our busy schedules that no matter what time, day, or location, she made each meeting work for us. When it came to the aesthetics of the wedding, J did a fantastic job of providing input without making us feel like we had to go with what was popular. She also had a way of settling differences in preference between us by coming up with solutions that were the perfect compromises. J exceeded our expectations when she opened up her home to us to store our wedding props as this would make it convenient to transport to the venue. These things took up half her living room, but she was more than happy to have us store our things there. At the last minute when we forgot to create a seating chart, J refurbished an old mirror and turned it into our very own rustic elegant seating chart. This beautiful handwritten seating chart was one of my favorite items in our wedding! Overall, I would recommend J to anyone looking for a wedding planner. She did a terrific job not just with handling the logistics, managing vendor relations, or keeping track of the financials but keeping the process easy-going. This allowed to really focus on each other and fun. Thanks to J for making our wedding such a beautiful one!

I plan corporate events for a living so when I got engaged the thoughts that flew through my mind were: "I got this!"

Fast forward almost a year and a half later: I'm in tears because I am over my head. Jayselle swooped in, took my hand and guided my vision into reality. I absolutely ADORED working with her and was actually sad when the whole process was over. Working with Jayselle is like planning a wedding with your best friend, she's fun, she's sassy and creative.

Having a wedding coordinator is one of the best investments you will make at your wedding. Jayselle is the best for the following reasons:

1) She will save you money and time. I mean honestly who does not need more of that? When I went to Jay, I already had about 80% of my wedding planned but she was able to help me add those special touches that make a wedding memorable. She researched special decorations, transportation, musicians, etc and got me the best deal every single time.
2) She is affordable. Like, way affordable and reasonable to work with.
3) On the wedding day she will come with a team of coordinators to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect. They are super profesh with ear buds and everything. It was like a scene out of the Wedding Planner.
3) She is organized so you don't have to be. Honestly, you're the bride why get boggled down with spreadsheets, timelines and other boring details. SHE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. I had a vision, she executed it. It was amazing to actually be able to enjoy my wedding and not worry about small things like picking up all the flowers and presents at the end of the night.

She also does full wedding coordination as well as month and day of of coordination. As mentioned before, working with Jayselle is like working with an old friend. I cannot recommend her more!

My husband and I recently went through Good Events for event planning with our wedding on June 1st 2013, and we absolutely could not have been any happier with the service we were provided. From the very first day when we were just contemplating about how the wedding would look, all the way to the day of, even after with the follow up, it was all perfect. Our wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did without the help and planning of Good Events. Jayselle demonstrated patience, organization, and creativity throughout the whole planning process. When it came to the day of, she was completely professional and made sure that everything went according to plan and if any issues popped up she was very quick to handle.
