A must visit for every CT bride!

Ellen and her staff are absolutely amazing. They are so kind, attentive, knowledgeable about their dresses, and have a keen ability to pull dresses that are exactly what you’re looking for. I found my wedding dress here and it is the nicest quality piece of clothing I have ever worn and I was able to get it for 50% off the list price. During my appointment I had three wonderful women waiting on me. I felt like a queen! You have to come here if you want a boutique experience and designer quality without paying the designer price tag. She has plenty of dresses under $1000 and a lot around the $500-700 mark

Personalized and Knowledgeable

Ellen made my experience! She was so personable and knowledgeable. She isn’t pushy at all and gives you time to think of what you might want or like before she Gives suggestions. My biggest advice would be to trust her opinion or dress suggestions! The shop had a wide variety or sizes, styles, and materials. The dress I found had every piece of my dream gown and a more than half priced price tag. After finding the dress she had many shoes to try on with it and quickly found. A veil that not only matched the shade of the dress but met the length that would look good with the dress and the design that would compliment it. After going to David’s Bridal the day before I can honestly say even they didn’t have the selection or knowledge Going to the Chapel did. I can’t recommend this shop enough. It will make your wedding gown vision come true!!!

Sweet little dress shop

My sister and I had a great experience shopping for a last minute dress. All dresses are off the rack. The owner is so much fun and gave me an adorable dress cookie that she personally made.

BEST wedding dress experience ever

I had the BEST experience here. The women working there were so accommodating and attentive to what I was looking for. We had a nice quiet, cozy area for trying on dresses. I found the most perfect dress for me out of all the different styles they offer. Today I bought my dream dress and veil and am so so in love. And the price? Oh my god... Can’t beat the price anywhere else! Just so extremely happy! ❣️ I highly recommend this place!

Going to the Chapel - Dream Affordable Wedding Dress!!!

Oh my goodness, Ellen is fabulous!!! When you make an appointment at "Going to the Chapel", you are a princess for the day. I got to browse through so many dresses (which is refreshing for a street size 16!!). My wedding gown ended up being the first one I tried on, and it was absolutely stunning. Ellen brought over the perfect veil to match. Overall, the experience was a dream. I couldn't recommend it more!!!

😢👰‍♀️ And then I cried

This was my first attempt at buying a dress and I felt rushed and unheard. After just putting on each dress I felt aggressively questioned. And if I said I wasn’t sure how I felt about it I was told “take it off if you don’t like it!” Before I could get my thoughts together. I left and cried.
