I highly recommend Glamorous Occasions! We got married at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland and I wanted to have drapes hung from the rafters. I called 4-5 places before another vendor gave me the number for Glamorous Occasions. They met with us at the venue before the wedding day to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted it to look like. We had the drapes done, a chandelier hung, the stage draped and they provided us with tablecloths in the color I wanted. On the wedding day, Joann, the owner, and her husband went above and beyond. I did DIY table decor to save money and after we set up one of the tables Joann offered to finish the other 11 tables so I could go get ready with my bridesmaids. It took a lot of stress off me. We also rented some high top bar tables and a sweetheart table from another vender who wanted to charge us something like $150 to pick them up that night. On top of that, none of us could drop them off because we weren't from Lakeland so we were in a bit of a pickle. Joann offered to return the tables for us! Another stress she helped us to avoid. I can't say enough good things about them! Even though they helped us mainly with decor, I wish I had found them earlier and had them help with planning too because Joann would be fantastic to have as a wedding planner.

Joanne and her staff were awesome!! She is wonderful to work with. Wedding planning can be very stressful but she is very patient and cooperative and made the process of planning my daughter's wedding much easier. Along with her services we were able to give my daughter and her new hubby the wedding of their dreams.

My mother and I walked into Joann’s office six months before my wedding with a budget and a very vague idea of the perfect wedding. I wasn’t one of those brides that had been planning her wedding since she was five and my mother and I knew we were in way over our heads. Joann was the only planner we met with and she was the perfect fit. From day one she listened to my wishes…along with my mother’s…and my father’s…and my cousins…and my sister’s…and my mother in law’s… and of course my husbands. She kept in correspondence through all mediums, texting, calling, and e-mailing, even when I had an idea at midnight I knew I could text her and she would get back to me right away.
Joann and her staff have a way of thinking outside of the box both to save money and to keep in mind with our specific tastes. I would have never thought to use the Lakeland Civic Centers caterer but they are absolutely fantastic! They were able to create a meal that was completely tailored to the southern vintage theme of our wedding. Even when I bought my Vera Wang wedding dress, with intricate fern beading, Joann was able to incorporate ferns into every aspect of the wedding in a tasteful manner.
The morning of our wedding the hairdresser and makeup artist both commented on how I was the calmest bride they had ever seen; I knew I had nothing to worry about because Joann and her team had everything covered. The ceremony went flawlessly even with a slight wind (which Joann was prepared for) and the reception was amazing! Joann timed everything so that the food was always hot the guests were always happy and the whole evening ended with a spectacular fireworks show.
I highly recommend her and I have to friends and co-workers; I’m already thinking about asking her to do a family member’s baby shower, and an anniversary party. During the six months we spent working on our wedding, she became more than a planner, she became a friend.
