My wedding was in New York, but I go to school in New Haven and I went in a few weeks before my wedding to have them re-size the bracelet I was wearing the day of. I also went in a few days before my wedding to have my engagement ring inspected and cleaned. They were very friendly and cleaned and checked my ring for FREE while I waited for a few minutes (as opposed to the place I went to in Manhattan for my first ring cleaning-they charged me $80 and I had to drop the ring off and come back in three days). Would definitely recommend them to anyone in the New Haven area-I'll come back with other jewelry repairs.

Gilden's is a small family owned business in the arts district of New Haven. They've been around for a long time. They had the best selection of wedding bands I had seen. They did a beautiful job engraving our rings, and the price was WAY less than what we had researched at some of the jewelry chains. We shopped around a lot, and we ended up with beautiful rings. The staff there is very friendly and they don't rush or pressure you at all. Go here, not the mall.
