Gerad is incomparable, he perfectly created and coordinated our wedding. He is what every event coordinator wishes they were. We worked with Gerad for our January 2026 wedding and could not have asked for a better person to bring our day to life.
Firstly, Gerad’s passion and enthusiasm are unmatched. Gerad plans events out of a genuine love and care for creating special celebrations. The care for every couple he works with, and every unique idea/detail, is apparent from the start and only increased as we fleshed out more details. Combined with the know-how to bring those ideas to life (a truly thorough resume spanning every part of the wedding industry, even before coordinating), Gerad is uniquely capable to coordinate such special moments.
On top of vision and passion, Gerad is flawlessly on top of all possible details, and balances the right amount of logistics that couples should be involved in. A very appreciated level of “keeping you informed on X thing, but I’m handling it” to reduce stress/mental load on couples while reassuring them that nothing has been forgotten/missed (Gerad is incapable of missing a detail, I’m pretty sure). From the start, Gerad provided us with a planning checklist/timeline that laid out all processes and considerations to plan for and when they should be completed relative to our wedding day. After establishing basics, Gerad put together a beautiful theme/vision board based on our disjointed ideas we started with, which really solidified how our event would come together and gave us direction.
After setting this strong direction, Gerad provided guidance, knowledge, and consultation about all details. Though obviously our day was our own design and ideas, Gerad was excellent at informing decisions when we were indecisive, advising us about what he thought would be good options when making choices, and stepping in to lead conversations and conceptualize details. All while ensuring that everything felt genuine to us. As this was our first event to plan/host, the sheer competence Gerad has and knowing we were in the hands of an expert, was so appreciated. Again, his experience across so many parts of the wedding industry means Gerad has seen right and wrong ways to do things; he will contribute incredible ideas that elevate your event, will steer you away from any possible mistakes/bad ideas, and knows when things feel right.
Gerad builds and maintains truly strong relationships with vendors, his preferred list ensures not only a quality guarantee, but genuinely friendly people to work with who share Gerad’s level of passion. Gerad’s high bar for performance absolutely extends to anyone he recommends, which made our vendor choices with him stress-free. Every suggestion he made (shortlist filtered from his preferred list, based on availability and vibe matching) truly did fit us so well. We couldn’t be happier with Gerad’s organization of so many important choices, or his interactions with vendors we hired separately.
Gerad’s day-of coordination is also flawless. We jointly built a detailed hour-by-hour timeline of the day which Gerad and his team then implemented while also naturally handling unexpected changes, making sure that everything was set up with every detail attended to. The January winter storm over our weekend involved a massive amount of extra effort which Gerad handled incredibly, on top of normal planning for the day. So many variables and a constantly-changing forecast meant he had to make and then re-make many contingency plans for factors like iced-over roads the day of and day after, potential for a power outage, changes due to guest cancellations, vendor transportation and safety concerns… An unimaginable amount of extra effort and communication went into checking if all involved with our wedding could execute safely, and changes like rescheduling vendor load-out were made even during the event. And yet Gerad spared us from that entirely, simply assuring us that the show would go on matching our comfort level, with every detail still accounted for.
Once our wedding started, Gerad kept absolutely everything running beautifully, smoothing over the few hiccups that arose. His management of people (checking in consistently to give reassurances, manage emotions and timeline, directing participants on how to perform their tasks) and places (room layouts and furniture moving) and things (details down to name card placement on tables) was stellar. We truly could not have executed without him, his “give it to me and I’ll handle it” energy and graceful directing meant that we only had to think about enjoying the night. Gerad was by a long shot the first one in and last one out at our wedding, incredibly thorough from start to finish.
Obviously, we wholeheartedly recommend Gerad as THE wedding and event coordinator to work with in Austin. While there are many coordination/planning choices in the city, I honestly do not think anyone else can do a better job than Gerad. We were incredibly lucky to find Gerad and are so appreciative of his work to make our wedding successful and unforgettable.
