Forty Nine South

Forty Nine South is a wedding venue located in Jackson, Michigan, that serves the surrounding Grand Rapids region. This former school serves as an historic, vintage banquet hall where couples can celebrate their special day with friends and family.

Couples may entertain up to 150 of their loved ones at Forty Nine South for their ceremonies, receptions, wedding showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. They have both indoor and uncovered outdoor settings couples may use to host their events, including the various rooms in the venue. Each room may include item's provided from the venue, including metal chairs, custom-made farmhouse tables, sound systems, and more. These rooms vary depending on how much space you need — they have a gymnasium with a stage that is perfect for larger get-togethers, as well as other rooms. History

Built in 1949, Forty Nine South was once a school in the Jackson Public School system. It was purchased by a local Freemasons chapter in 1980 before being purchased, renovated, and reopened as Forty Nine South in 2017.
