Fluffy Thoughts Cakes is a wedding bakery located in McLean, Virginia. Lara Stuckey, the owner, opened her shop in 2000 to combine her passions for art and baking into a business. Lara infuses sculpture, color, and design into each handmade dessert, and she customizes her creations based on couples' requests.

Experience
Lara began her baking career working part-time at Cakelove in Washington, D.C., where she trained under baker Warren Brown and observed the bakery industry firsthand. She has participated in several cake decorating courses, most recently with world-renowned cake designer Colette Peters of Colette's Cakes in New York City, as well as at a Fundamental Pastry Techniques Course at L'Academie de Cuisine, and she continues to perfect her skills as a baker and designer.

Fluffy Thoughts Cakes provides couples with tiered wedding cakes, as well as several other dessert options, including cookies, croquembouche, cupcakes, dessert buffets, grooms' cakes, and pastries. Lara can offers gluten-free and vegan items for clients with dietary restrictions. Consultations are available for couples to discuss their wedding dessert vision, and Lara provides delivery and set up for wedding events.
