Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chef Heather Wong started her career in 2007 with her popular blog and custom dessert delivery service, The Scootabaker, with flavors highlighting her Chinese and Mexican heritage.

She spent time at Bottega Louie, Sweetsalt, Cascabel, and Josephine Bakery serving as Executive Pastry Chef. She can be seen making it to the semi-finals on season 4 of the perennial fan favorite Spring Baking Championship on The Food Network.

Opening FLOURING in the summer of 2020, Heather aims to focus on a Southern California inspired taste and aesthetic, using only sustainably sourced, organic ingredients from local farmers and vendors. Happily serving the Los Angeles community since 2009, and now head of a small, women-led team.

We offer custom cakes and desserts for weddings, corporate events, and all types of everyday celebrations!

Best Cake Ever!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake, and it turned out SO STUNNING. We got the passionfruit flavor, and all of the guests raved about the cake. We have an Asian family (South Asian, East Asian, SE Asian), and our family were very particular about not wanting to have desserts that felt too sweet. Our families were absolutely obsessed with it, and all of our friends loved it as well.

Beautiful 2 tier signature cake for my wedding

Flouring LA hooked me up with a beautiful cake that was way less than quotes I got from other places. I’ve been a fan since they were doing the pop up dessert boxes. I highly recommend them and can’t wait to visit the LA shop. Also always a strong move to support female owned businesses.

Flawless & Unique

I contacted them initially for a tasting of their cakes and they have small bar like sizes of them. Absolutely love passion fruit one. It was a unique light fruity flavor that I felt would be memorable as our wedding cake. Service was great. Easy to talk to. They delivered to reception. It is a bit pricey, but then again… I did order too much. Definitely worth it though.
