Flat Mountain Farm is a serene, mountain-modern wedding venue in Highlands, North Carolina. This manor rests on the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and offers 28 acres of lush land for couples to host their dream day. The bucolic aesthetic, combined with its designer-inspired accommodations and dedicated staff, can turn any couple’s ceremony and reception into an unforgettable celebration.

1. Elegant Elopement: Perfect for couples seeking a simple and romantic weekday ceremony surrounded by up to 25 of their closest friends & family.

2. Inclusive Wedding: This stress free package includes all the essentials for your special day from your private suites to get ready to your officiant to say "I do". In addition, we have included award winning catering, bar services, decor, dj, cake and more for up to 100 guests.

2. Deluxe Day Rental: For those seeking a grand celebration, consider the full day package which includes 12 hours of access to the entire property, access to The Wren and The Kingfisher for wedding party preparations, and space to invite up to 200 guests.

3. Luxury Weekend Buyout: Transform your big day into an unforgettable escape, which includes everything in the deluxe day rental package plus full access to the property for the entire weekend and overnight accommodations in The Wren and The Kingfisher for up to 16 total.

Ideal for couples wishing to marry away from the bustling city life, Flat Mountain Farm offers a secluded, tranquil location to get lost in nature. This picturesque setting can accommodate events of various sizes, from small elopements to large celebrations with up to 200 attendees. One of the many spaces where couples can host their ceremony is by the peaceful waterfront of the private lake, with an intimate wooden dock as the altar. The thick forestry and reflective waters act as a panoramic backdrop as the couple becomes newlyweds. For an indoor celebration, the onsite barn adorns a blend of elegance and vintage charm. Exposed wooden walls and beams surround the space, with wall sconces and grand chandeliers adding a warm, welcoming glow to any celebration. These grounds also have a variety of settings for one-of-a-kind photo sessions, including the peaceful waterfall leading to a trickling stone-lined creek.

On Site Parking with golf cart shuttle services are available at this venue to ensure that each guest arrives safely. Groups with over 50 guests are encouraged to hire professional transportation services.

Food & beverage packages are fully customizable and handled in-house by award-winning Executive Chef Santiago Guzzetti and Level 2 Sommelier Crystal Pace.

On-Site Accommodations

Soon-to-be-weds and their entourage can spend their wedding weekend in one of the luxurious onsite cabins. The largest cabin, The Kingfisher, sleeps up to 10 people among the three spacious bedrooms. The Wren sleeps up to 6 and offers a private balcony, an outside grill and firepit, and two large living rooms for intimate gatherings.
