Hello! We are Shelby and Josh, we own and operate First Dance Films between Austin, Texas and Denver, Colorado.
We’re known for our stunning cinematography, and our thoughtful and creative editing—capturing the unique spirit of every wedding and couple we film. What drives our work is showcasing true love stories and providing one-of-a-kind wedding films that are endlessly rewatchable. Our couples go back to their wedding films years down the road. We’re not pushy, and we don’t like overly posed. Our goal is to fit seamlessly into your day.
All of our films are unique, and that is intentional. Our films are crafted for each individual couple. We film and edit each frame of our wedding videos ourselves so that you can be confident in knowing who you are hiring. Because we don’t hire out, we have limited availability, so please reach out with your wedding date as soon as you can.

Hello, I'm Shelby! The owner of First Dance Films. My partner Josh and I are the faces behind our wedding films. I'm an independent artist and filmmaker, and live in Denver, Colorado with Josh and our little pug.
We started First Dance Films back in 2018, and are blown away by all of the incredible people we've met along the way. I feel so lucky to have met and worked with all of our clients thus far. I didn't anticipate so many clients would become friends of ours.
