Perfect venue for an Outer Banks Wedding!
Can't wait for our wedding day!
Our Home away from Home!
We had our ceremony on the Beach across the street, and our reception in a tent in the side yard, it unfortunately rained... which caused a muddy mess under the tent! This was our ONLY complaint. The property manager should defiantly do something about this, since they have events often in the yard and I was told it always floods.
We spend the weekend at FCI and it was sunny the rest of the time. It is so enjoyable waking up to see the sunrise on the beach that is so conveniently close. My daughter and I enjoy sitting on the balcony swings to watch the sunsets too!
We had stayed there about 3 other times prior to having our wedding and we will continue to come back every year because it feels like home away from home :)

Beautiful location! Well done & great people!
The First Colony Inn is an absolutely stunning and joyful place to work. The venue itself is well kept by their knowledgeable staff, with neatly manicured lawns, and common areas that are kept tidy and beautiful, with great attention to detail. Not only is it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the Outer Banks has to offer (while being walking distance to the ocean of course), but it's also a wonderful place to get married. The surrounding foliage makes the location feel secluded while still being in a desirable location. The event staff are very thorough, and make sure that all details are in place for your big day. As caterers we feel very confident that there will be no surprises when headed to the First Colony. We cannot speak high enough of them as a venue, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to celebrate their big day!
One of our All time favorite venues here on the Outer Banks. If you are looking to capture the true essence of the banks, look no further. This is your place.
