One of the aspects about Field Manor that makes it so unique is the rich history that lies within its walls. Purchased by the Field family shortly after the Homestead Act in 1862, the land beneath the Field Manor lived through the Field family’s unique experience as they migrated, settled, and built a life along the Indian River. The building itself was built with tall pine trees from the surrounding landscape, and large citrus trees were planted in groves surrounding it. Many of these historic attributes of the Field Manor has been preserved for guests and couples to enjoy to this day.
