Unique, talented, mellow DJ!

Brian was approachable to talk to, esp. with it being my first time working with a DJ. He was willing to take the time to listen to songs that were important to me and other things about the wedding (actually we had a renewal of vows celebration that was like a wedding). Brian gave great suggestions based on lots of experience. His skills exceed that of others DJ's I've seen -- he's a musician himself too...a really good one! He has a ton of songs to pick from, too; he even pulled out what I'd call dinner versions of a lot of the songs on my playlist for when we were eating (our plan was to have more mellow music during that time). He was friendly and flexible, joining in with 2 other musicians I hired for square/folk dance music. If you're looking for someone who will bring a calm presence, look no further. I've been recommending Brian to several friends. Bonus: he played the music the perfect loudness (as in loud for a party) but comfortable for the ears (you could hold a conversation). I think this contributed to our guests feeling comfortable and smiling the whole time and getting to know each other. I loved that Brian brought equipment for the music to be outdoors at the end when my husband and I danced our special Last Dance on the grass surrounded by family and friends; it was so joyful and fun.

Outstanding- can't recommend enough!

Brian was so responsive, flexible, thorough, and detail oriented during planning our wedding. He is a professional and went above and beyond by visiting our event site, offering to MC, sending over lengthy song lists to choose from, offering his experienced advice, and setting up our Zoom for guests who could not attend. His band Time After Time was INCREDIBLE, our whole party was on their feet dancing the entire time. Brian really has a way of feeling the crowd and knowing what to play next and MC'ing in a way that didn't take over. I can't recommend them enough, and can't wait to hire them again when we have an occasion!

Fantastic klezmer band

Yiddishkeit Klezmer Ensemble was everything we had hoped for. Communication before the party was always prompt and easy. They offered a variety choices for the size of band to work with our budget. There was a great variety of music to choose from, too. During the party the band really read the crowd, and communicated with us throughout the evening. They shifted with the mood of the party- roving around beforehand as guests were arriving, then playing jazz for the background during dinner, and then after dinner they got our guests up and dancing, teaching them how to do the steps! They are talented, professional, and really fun to work with! Plus they traveled quite far to play for us, with only a nominal travel charge. Highly, highly recommend!

Dj Brian was exactly what we wanted

DJ Brian Bender was exactly what we wanted and needed for our wedding. He played incredible jazz piano throughout our cocktail hour and reception, following with a brilliant mix of our wedding playlist. He knew exactly when to play the right songs and the vibe of our wedding flowed perfectly all night. He was kind and courteous in every exchange we had with him and we felt we received work above and beyond especially for the price, absolute bargain. Would recommend to anybody.

Best decision of our wedding!

Brian, was the absolute best wedding DJ! He was a professional, who stayed behind the scenes and allowed the music and our vision for the wedding speak for itself. Brian listened to what we wanted and did a great job seamlessly transitioning all aspects of the wedding. Guests were dancing from the first to last song of the night. He took song requests while keeping our taste in mind. He was really great!!

Brian went above and beyond all of our expectations as a pianist and DJ at our wedding. He proactively reached out to us before hand, he coordinated the ceremony with the wedding planners,his sound system was audiophile quality. And he made it fun! He was flexible and fair when the reception went longer than planned. I haven't been to another reception where the guests were dancing from beginning to end, all age groups Brian had something to keep it going. I highly recommend Brian!

Brian Bender was great! We were looking for Irish music for our cocktail hour and a DJ for after dinner. Brian was able to provide both of those things! He put together a three piece Irish band and then he DJed the rest of the night. He was great and everyone danced the night away! We ended up having him stay an extra hour because everyone was having so much fun! Highly recommended

Brian was absolutely perfect for our wedding. As my partner and I have totally different tastes, we wanted something that incorporated both of us and Brian was 100% willing to do that - he played jazz piano during our brunch reception, and then transitioned into classic party DJ music for the later portion of the reception. He took all of our requests very well, and was very easy to work with. When some guests made requests that went against our desires (line dances, gross!), Brian thoughtfully checked in with us before playing them, and of course he maintained the dance vibe of the party. He is adaptable, friendly, easy to work with, very good as a musician, professional, and "budget-friendly." I can't recommend him enough.

What do I like about Brian? Many things. He is a gifted musician. I've seen him at the cocktail hour, playing piano. I've seen him at community events playing the Melodica. He also plays tuba and trombone. He teaches music lessons as well. To top it off, he even has his own recording studio and record label. He's not just a DJ. He loves music deeply and it shows. He has a friendly, warm, kind way about him. He listens so couples and guests alike, as seen in the gallery above. Because Brian is a musician, he also offers live music and a band for your wedding. And lastly, he has a good sound system. A DJ can be the nicest and best in the world, but it means nothing if they have bad quality speakers. As a photographer, I notice these things, since I spend the night on the dance floor close to the speakers.
